I’m sitting in a coffee shop right now. After unhappily fussing about my teaching assignment and my injury last night, today dh parked in a garage far from the restaurant and then decided to sit upstairs so I had to walk a bit farther and then climb up and down stairs. Then, he proposed an ice cream shop for dessert that would require even more walking and a longer walk back to the car. SO I mentioned something and then he told me to stay at this coffee shop near the restaurant and he would take the girls for ice cream and then pick me up at the nearby corner so I won’t have to walk a lot more. I ordered a salted caramel latte since I’m missing ice cream. It is delicious!! But I can’t take his complaints about the physical demands of teaching too seriously.

I'm afraid that I misspoke, helia. I was thinking of it as a tapestry because I was treating it like a tapestry, but it's actually a quilt. I hang them off of the back of the shelving unit next to my bed. I had just washed the new one that I bought from Germane's rescue and put it up, and that gave me a change to wash and move the smaller ones that I had had hanging there.
I can picture your frustration, that you do want to participate, but you have just had a diagnosis that requires resting your leg and that is not being considered. If I were you, I would buy a cane and leave it in the trunk. Then if you see that he has parked in Siberia, okey, but I'm walking with the cane.

That latte sounds delicious! I have been toying with the idea of walking Germane over to the food truck to buy a ginger tea.

trissie - we've had a disappearing act! That topic does exist but just is not appearing, except in your posts, accessed through your handle/name. The only posters in the topic are you and Kittykatt - probably appears within her posts under her handle/name, too. No one else seems to have been able to see it since those posts.

I'm thinking maybe the photo is too large, making the topic too large for continuing posts? Or something? (My best theory, anyway.) Could you resize the photo and we'll see if the topic shows. Also, if that alone doesn't do it, I can then try to "sticky" the topic it in its smaller form and we'll see if it shows up that way. One way or another, it does exist, so we'll get it here!

Just a really quick flyby -
but I did have a chance to see that trissie's sil is causing family drama again - not the first time - she screwed up about parental care needs as well.
and helia has painful ischial bursitis - that is VERY painful! And both aggravated by prolonged sitting and by overstretching.
For those who don't know, the ischium is the lower part of the pelvic bone that looks like a loop. There's one on each side. Muscles attached to it are important for walking (jogging, running) and sitting.
Germane is sometimes going potty on her pee pads, and sometimes missing. So Doggedly continues to clean up after the dear little old dog. We will be travelling at the same time, but I start sooner.
Mica's family has returned so kittykatt only has her 3 cherubs to tend to.

Dsis3 left this morning.
I did multiple errands, and am working on deciding what to pack - It was 92F and humid here, where I am going the temp ranges will be 60-90 in one area, 45-69 en route, and 50-75 when I get to dsis2. So, trying to decide how many long pants, capris, etc to take. and which suitcase to put them in - 1 for going into the hotel, and the other for when I am at dsis2 for a couple days, then back on the road to dsis3 (who is having surgery and I am staying with to help for several days). Then return home again, much later in the month. Each day will be 500+ miles - the second day is almost 600. yes, that's alot of driving! I am delivering birthday presents and things from mother's house.

Thanks for the distraction - I need to get back to the suitcases. MrVKM is coming tomorrow morning before it gets too hot - he will mow my lawn, then help me load the car so I can get going fairly early on Sunday. Therefore, I need to have my part of the packing ready for him to load. Thanks to him for doing that ♥
