I wasn't paying attention and missed the derby. Dh discovered ants in the sunroom. I was out there spraying them. Yuk! Yikes, I hate things that crawl in houses, unless it's a baby of course. Dd2 always had the house sprayed. We have only seen 1 small spider in over 4 1/2 months. I had decided to have it sprayed on a every 2-3 month plan but was intending to wait until after the trip. After this, I will be calling Monday. I sure don't want to come home to an infestation of something. Dh told me that there are ant hills everywhere outside. I wish he would have mentioned it before now.

Sunny, dd is still running a 101 temp when she doesn't knock it down with Tylenol and Advil. Dh, ds and I went out to eat - she had gone back to sleep. I know she feels awful.

Watching TV with dh - we need to leave the house by 8:30 to get him to the airport and he still needs to pack.

I was able to have my adventure. I was so excited.

The short version is tonight is the first time I have been able to go to the dining room for a meal since I came home from the hospital in November.

The longer version you can skip and may become a novel.

I never said anything but I was too sick to go to the dining room. It took a long time to recover from the wrong medication I was given. Then just when I was able to go down I went in the hospital again and then I cut my leg. I couldn't go down until my leg stopped swelling if it was down for longer than 20 minutes. The other thing was I couldn't go until Jake would go in his crate.

His crate was too short he could reach the back of the crate to get the treat and still have his back paws on the ground outside the crate. I got him a bigger crate last week and he loves it. He will go in it when I'm on the computer and take a nap.

I was getting carryout and it would last for dinner and lunch and sometimes breakfast (fruit). I have to pay $4 extra to have it delivered. Finally when the order was wrong too many times I just started eating soup, cereal, peanut butter sandwiches, apples and canned fruit. Oh milk too.

You can't imagine how good it felt to be able to eat in the dining room. I was going to brunch tomorrow but I have 3/4 of my steak sandwich and 1/2 my onion rings. I ate a cup of mushroom soup and I was full. I brought up my diabetic rice pudding too. I can add a salad and I'll be fine.

Indiana, I am so happy that you were able to go to the dining room. I am also happy that Jake is all right with the bigger crate.

I just checked and only found one live ant and it is now gone.

I wanted to clean closer to the time we leave but with the bug guy needing to come, I will clean and then stay on top of everything. I hate to leave for a trip with the house not clean because I don't want to come back to a mess.

Thanks for the reminder about the moon!
Did the dishes and spiffed up the kitchen.
We have the clean sheets back on the bed.
I mowed and did some weeding.
Took a short nap before the movie so I could stay away for that enjoyed it [act of valor]
then it was off to our fav. taco stand for dinner they had 59 cent tacos on Cinco de Mayo
first time we've done that it was a made house but we enjoyed the energy there. We talked about tactical stuff we observed in the movie.
I need to go vacuum trying to get as much done today as I can.
Saw sil & dgson at a yard sale dgdson is fine and over his bug today we got a hug from him too!
Today while I was looking for something in the creativity zone found a set of colored pens I'd forgotten all about my others are about done! Yea for small surprises like that!

I just checked and the moon looks brighter but not any larger. Part of the problem is that it isn't moon-rise and I most often see the moon then when it looks larger due to the optical illusion. We went out tonight to see at moon-rise but can't see it here at the house (too many trees.) When I see it normally, it is because we are driving home from being out and it is obvious over the fields. I asked dh if he wanted to go for a drive then, and he wasn't enthusiastic so I didn't press the matter.

I got the accounting started - all the bank reconciliations are done. Plus I have a list of things that need doing so I can cross them off as they get done.

Dinner out was nice. We went to BOM (Burgers on Main) in the market village. I found the burger to be great, dh wasn't as enthusiastic. We had a window seat and all we could see parked on the street were Mercedes, BMWs, a Porshe and some Audis. Sometimes I forget we live next to the postal code in Canada with the highest average household income. Even at $14 for a burger, the place was very busy and there was a lineup to get in when we left at 6:30. I'm glad we ate early. We shared a carrot cake for dessert and it was HUGE so we had half put into a carry-out container which I just realized we left at the restaurant. Sigh... (It was $7.)

We watched an episode of tv after getting home and another after I hit the first milestone with the accounting.

Off to bed now. Tomorrow is super busy - church, potluck, bowling, fish fry.

Moon is bright, but size doesn't seem different. I was reading that clouds are both enemy and friend when moon-watching because they can obscure, but they also make the sky more beautiful. Definitely see that here tonight, because for a long while I thought I'd never see the moon at all, but when it did emerge, it made the clouds gorgeous. Movie worthy. I suppose that is the brightness.

Dd enjoyed hula-hooping tonight. I don't yet feel certain enough of my back to exercise. She and I checked on the other house.

We did get to see the Derby. I knew if the favored horse took the lead that early he would not win against another horse with jockey wise enough to wait for a burst later, and sure enough. Glad that the possibility of rain didn't happen.

So far, I'm kinda disappointed in the moon, too -- but like Kathryn, I wanted to see it as it rose... DH keeps telling me to just wait till 10:35 -- our peak time, apparently, according to local weather guy. I think dh is going to be disappointed, too. Oh well. We're not much for astronomy, I guess. Maybe if you really study the moon on a regular basis, you would be able to see what all the fuss is about. Comparing to the HUGE moon as it rises... well... no, this is not so much, now that it's pretty high in the sky. Pretty cloudy, here, too -- but moon is very visible.

Anyway.
My life has started to resemble the old Freddy Fender song: Wasted Days and Wasted Nights.
I had pretty much accomplished NOTHING today, until about an hour or so ago, and I can FINALLY report a BIG ta-da:
Got all my papers graded!!! Woo hoo for that, b/c I had some I had been putting off, b/c they were kinda tedious to grade.
Otherwise, however, I have done nothing.
Oh -- one more thing -- when I finally s2s (around 4:30 pm) I gave myself a facial -- Merle Norman Miracol. Does anyone else even remember this?
It's pretty old-fashioned, I guess, but it made my face feel good. I still wear Merle Norman foundation, too. Everything else, I buy at the drug store or Wmart.
I've talked to dmom, and dmil -- several times, b/c she's worried about dh. He feels a little better, fever hovering just below 100, but he -- like Twins' dd -- is keeping it under control -- in his case, w/Tylenol & Aleve.
(((Twins' dd)))

WTG, Indiana!!! I am so happy for your successful adventure!!!

Waving to ALL! Hope you all have a good night!
Tomorrow is another day.

The moon here is beautiful. I can tell it is appearing bigger and brighter.
