Today seems to be fish theme here.

I've worked on setting up fish tank. LO reward for being extra good at Doctor appt was 3 fish (30 cent goldfish :D ). We are starting with the easy fish so he can learn to feed & care for them. I've brought the fish tank up from storage (cellar) and spent the last 24 hours slowly adding well water to it. The well water is cold so I added a little at a time so to give the water temperature time to adjust. Once I had enough water for the fish to survive in, then I just let the water sit and reach room temperature before finish filling the tank. I found the tank decoration and rocks/marbles for the bottom and have them in place. Light on. However the water pump isn't working. I will fiddle with it tomorrow.

LO & I meet DH and DGS17 at fish restaurant for supper. They didn't catch any fish today but we were still able to have fish for the meal. :0

Speaking of fish......one of MPB customers likes to fish and trade his catch for car washes. Win - win for both of us!

I saw a FB post today from a widow SHE that typically post on the other board. Her car wouldn't start this morning so she called her deacon and left a message for help.

The kitchen floor is now done. Scrubbed on hands and knees, rinsed and the mopNglo'd. My house stinks of the m-n-g and I still have the foyer/laundry/powder rooms to do but I'm making progress. I won't do the last floors on hands and knees - the flooring in there is dark grey marbled vinyl flooring so the effort of hand scrubbing isn't important.

I'm off to bed now. My back and shoulders will be sore tomorrow.

Hopefully, by then, the vacuum will be working again and I can finish up the weekly house blessing.

OKay, when I need a higher power to get my car running, I call the AAA, not for prayer!

We had a lovely day. I cooked, believe it or not. Pork roast with rice, corn-on-the-cob and green beans for lunch. This was before ds27's family arrived, so just 9 of us. No sooner had I gotten the dishwasher started than ds27's family arrived and it was time for our party. DangerBoy forgave me for forgetting to pick up more candles - I only had 4! Ddil complimented my colorful table. We got several good photos of the party and the cake was good (icing, not so much).

The baby ( for whom I suppose I need a nickname, but boy-children show up so quickly here!) had a wonderful time admiring his 3 older-boy cousins. He showed off his standing-up skill but there are no steps yet. They played very nicely together and I bragged loudly on WonderBoy for allowing his baby cousin to steal several toys without fussing.

Presents were great fun. I had small presents for WonderBoy and little britches, too. Although he loved ours, DangerBoy was truly thrilled with Uncle ds27's. Water pistols! While we were playing with other gifts, ds32 snuck away to the kitchen with them and came back squirting ds 27 and her 2 oldest. They were all outside in a minute having a great fight. Ds27 was dodging water by hopping over the porch railings like he did when he was a kid. Sammie was so happy.

More photos outside and ds27's family had to leave. The rest of us enjoyed the afternoon together, with one of our presents (3-D DVD movie with glasses), hide-and-go-seek while HRH helped little britches take a nap, ending with Oriental food (thank goodness for take-away) and a firefly hunt (with Grandma spritzing everyone's ankle's with bug repellent). My ddad watched baseball with dsonil most of the time and HRH said he didn't think my ddad had enjoyed sports this much in a long while.

Forgive me for barely cuoping I'm sooooooo tiiiiiired... ... yawn... ..and I need to set the dishwasher for a second round.

Harriet, it sounds like you had a special and memorable day. I was happy to read that your ddad enjoyed the ballgame with your dsonil.
