Well, our answer (which is what I sort of expected) is a referral to a gastro doctor for an endoscopy -have an appointment for that procedure on June 29th. (This Dr had wanted this repeated by 3 years (he had that and a colonoscopy done after DShelley passed away in 2009). The colonoscopy will come down the road a piece. Most important right now is the endoscopy. DH also got poison ivy this weekend but the dr. didn't want to put him on prednisone because of everything else going on. So he's to try to 'make do' with cortizone. Hope that does it.

Meantime dcampowner has asked dh to go on disability so the Dr. made out those papers. We'll do our section later and then turn into the office. See what happens with all that. Campowner's take is that he pays for it every week and we may as well collect it. We'll see..........

We've had over 3/4" of rain so far today. We've had a lot in June and we're not even halfway.

I'm going to take a little nap and then do up the dishes. I cleaned out the fridge (we went shopping after the dr. appt and I had to make space). Luckily we have a full size fridge and stove. Nice in an RV! :D

This talk of thank you notes reminded me of a few years ago when I sent a wedding gift to my cousin's child. Many months later, a thank you note addressed only to my husband was received. He barely knew the people and they clearly had no clue who we were! The note just said "thank you for the gift"--so I don't think they even knew what my husband supposedly sent them . For my son's upcoming wedding, we didn't include any distant relatives. We don't live near them, so they won't know or care, I'm sure.

Rainy day here. Ran errands and haven't accomplished much else.

I'm very sleepy.

Long day volunteering. I had thought I was finished for the sale but they managed to make a printout of the whole library catalog system and then I checked off the books that we had decided to keep. Next was going through the publishers and seeing which books we had missed. There were about 25 real books and a multitude of pamphlets that may or may not be worth keeping.

Then I set up all the videos we are disposing of. And we discussed whether or not to keep the other videos and may let them go too.

I hadn't taken a lunch so went out for lunch for a bit and then worked until 3. Rushed home so dh could take the car out for 4. It has a noise in the suspension/steering linkage so I want it checked before our big drive.

I checked email after he left and found out I'm supposed to drop something in the next village (where he'll be picking up rubber gloves for me since I had no time to run errands as planned.) So that's an extra trip I'll have to make tomorrow.

I'm finding I'm really, really, grumpy right now. Short-tempered with people's expectations for me. Hope that goes away really soon.

Dh's computer is 'blipping' because someone is trying to contact him via Skype but I don't know how his computer works so I can't let them know he isn't really there. It is weird because when I tab through the open programs, skype isn't one of them but I can hear the posts by whoever is trying to get his attention.

I'm back. Lunch is eaten. I have taken care of financial matters, notified the bank that I will be overseas, called about the swamp cooler, and missed the return call about the swamp cooler. Next up, type up some payroll research I have done, then make a call to the pet sitter reminding her about the trip and making an appointment to go over where everything is. See you later!

Hmmm... well, maybe I should go over that list more carefully, of who gave what -- but one of my dcousins and I made out the list and I'm not SURE the names on the LIST will exactly match the names on the cards. I mean, if Jane Smith gave us a package, I (or my cousin) might have said, "Jane Smith" and wrote down that name b/c we knew her... but the card inside the package might actually say "Jim & Jane."
* sigh *
I don't see how I can err too far though by allow them to say "thank you" to the husbands in these couples, also.

My senior English teacher was a real stickler for all these little things, really made a big deal of stuff like this when we were getting our graduation invitations... that's why I think about how to address a widow vs a divorced woman, etc.

DH & I have walked 3 miles... :D

I have bothered ddil on the phone while she was in the doctor's office... :(
And ds has called to TELL me ddil is IN the doctor's office & HE WAS GOING TO call me when she got out & didn't she send me a e-mail message to that effect...
And yes she did... but it drives dh crazy that she won't just CALL US. * sigh *
DH is certain this means she just doesn't like us...
But, anyway, ds has called back and said all is well, doctor will see her again on the 22nd, and at that time they will "talk about" whether to induce or not. :| And that ddil likes us fine, she is just sick of being pregnant, sick of talking about pregnant, and doesn't really want to talk to ANYONE except him, "a little bit." ;)
Oooohhh... I guess I'm just saying a prayer that either she goes before the 22nd or the doctor says "let's give it another week" when he sees her then. :?

And now -- believe it or not -- I called dmil, @ HIS REQUEST to see if she needed anything before we came over, and I started telling her about ddil's doctor appt, and dh had the NERVE to grumble @ me b/c -- wait for it -- --- HE WAS GOING TO TELL HER!

AAAUGUGUHHH!!! You do NOT have to be crazy to live here but it helps.
When he gets home, I bet I tell him I have made my last phone call on his behalf. If he wants to know something, he knows how to dial. :P

When is your ddil "due", LucyLee? Ours is due July 17th but they plan section for July 11th -unless he decides he wants out of that comfy nest earlier. She, too, is ready.

Dr. did put dh on 2 O me pr azole a day instead of 1 -for 6 weeks. Did find out happily that the P la vix we had him renew is now a generic and will be much cheaper. I'll take it!

DS-R sent a picture of a very happy dgs7! Almost his whole lacrosse team has mohawks and he's wanted one. DS made a deal with him if he got his kart into the 37 second range at their track that he'd let him get the haircut. DGS thought about 5 seconds, gave DS a high five and said, "Deal!" Well he did it and DS says, "It's only a hair cut and it will grow back".

How I hate (as I'm sure everyone does!) seeing these wildfires. Whether it's that, hurricanes, earthquakes, tornadoes -they're all so disturbing!

DH has already taken his shower and is in his night pj shorts. He's already planning 'projects' because he knows (and I know) he won't be able to do NOTHING. Dr. filled out disability papers today and we've got a little to do and he'll take them back to the campground office tomorrow.

Did do up the dishes this afternoon. Had more than usual because I cleaned out the fridge.

I am off to the house, where I will pick to the kitchen table. Then I am off to VBS to do whatever anyone needs, or to eat and crochet. The swamp cooler repair person is coming tomorrow at 730 so maybe I will have a cool Wednesday. I have not yet called the pet sitter, guess that will be tomorrow.

Dee, July 1 is the due date.
She has said for the last month or so that she felt like it would be earlier.
DH is just getting very antsy and irritable... y'all know how he likes to have everything planned out to the nth degree... and babies just don't follow anyone's timetable but their own. OR THE DOCTOR'S... and dh may be right on this count... if doctor lets it go to the due date, which is a Sunday, then... hmmm... we are into the 4th of July week. Doctor might just want to have this little one delivered and done by then. So... I don't know. So many people ARE induced these days... dh just thinks it is better to let nature run its course, unless one REALLY goes over the due date.
I told him the due date is just an "approximate" guideline, but he's not convinced. ;)
