I just realized that I haven't posted today.

I had a cardio appointment that was fabulous.

I found out though why I was critical in March.

My defibrillator went off 17 times in a few short hours. Six were kick in the chest by a horse and the others were punches. I said the punches I don't mind as much. She said I should I'm still dying when they go off. If the defibrillator doesn't convert my heart it will get so fast my heart will not be able to keep up.

I have been doing a lot of thinking this afternoon.

My house is getting clean. But to backtrack to this afternoon.

Ds came and picked me up from volunteering. We hit a chip wagon for his lunch (I had eaten so just had 3 onion rings.) Then we went to the Arboretum for him to eat and then we went for a walk.

Today is hot. Although that was at 2, it was only about 88 at that point with a humidex of about 95. It got to a humidex of over 100 later. We didn't walk fast but just enjoyed being out in the heat. We don't get too many days like this.

Then he took me to the jewelry store where we enjoyed being in the a/c. They put us in their coolest area to wait and turned up the a/c full so I'm thinking we were rather flushed when we came in the store! Dh showed up about 10 minutes later and we had to wait another 10 minutes for our designer to be available. No problem, was enjoying the a/c!

The appointment took about an hour but we got more design worked out. He did some grinding and polishing and it is almost perfect. He'll put the stones in for the next visit (and send me photos before hand so I can see the progress. I should have the ring by his holidays on July 28th. Yay! He re-polished all our existing rings including ds's which pleased ds to no end. It looked new again.

Ds left us and we went on to take the car in for an oil change and book a proper service time for when we get back. I had a chance to go over a Prius V with a fine tooth comb and I love the car so we'll start to look for a used one in about 2 years. They are affordable enough now that dh offered to skip a cruise and buy me one but I pointed out that there was nothing wrong with the car we had now and that we should wait at least until our next big road trip. We don't need the extra room except when we go on road trips.

Picked up Chinese for dh on the way home, I made up a frozen dinner for myself and then after dinner we got to work on cleaning the house. I did my daily and weekly kitchen chores while dh vacuumed the ground floor and the basement. I mopped the floors after dh was done. I'll still have to dust tomorrow and vacuum the bedroom but the heavy/hot work is done.

Now I'm waiting another 20 - 30 minutes and we'll head out to pick up dd from the airport and drive her to a friend's house. We'll gas up the car on the way home to have the car filled for the first leg of the trip on Thursday.

I feel like I'm about to drown in paperwork.

((((Indiana)))) I'm so glad you had a good doctor visit. I'm thankful for modern medical devices like the defibrillator and know it was only doing its job........ but BOOOOO to horse kicks and punches. ((((Hugs))))

LO and I will pick DMom up early in the morning to take her for fasting blood work. It will be the first time LO has seen blood drawn, so will be doing some talking about what he will see to prepare him.

Guess dd left home about 11 this morning. We decided tonight to get her MH parked in the spot she'd selected. Nice time to do it since no one is in that area yet. DH will go over in the morning and get it plugged in. Figured there was no sense in her paying for today as long as she wouldn't be there. Now I can go over in the a.m. and run the vacuum, clean the fridge, get that running and turn on the AC. She'll need it tomorrow. We have the first air alert in a long time. I've been warning dh that he probably will feel it. Luckily he won't be working tomorrow.

Bunch from here went to the movies today -think they were all watching different ones. I really didn't want to go. Finally went over to tell dfriend I just couldn't 'go there' and hoped she'd understand. I used to go with DShelley and take the dgks a lot. It's only a $1.00 I think. I knew something was really bothering me and I just couldn't put my finger on it. Aha! I'm really glad I decided not to go.

Well Okay may be drowning in paper, but I'm drowning in books...Must be getting rid of at least 75 of them.

My poor office looks like a tornado went through it and then decided to come back in reverse :o You can't tell if I'm moving in or moving out...However I think I will have enough space that I can pretty much combined the two closets into 1.5 Gotta find homes for the stuff I brought back from school. I pitched and pitched and pitched and it shows. Knew it was going to be a big task, but I keep thinking how great everything will look after its done. Plus I'm tired of not having homes for everything.

What I really need is a large bookshelf. I put one in my office closet, but I'd like to have one close by where I could put my office supplies. My desk has two filing drawers and two additional smaller drawers, but I don't like all this clutter on my desk. I kept very few momentos from work. I have several framed pieces of art that a few of my favorite students made for me, plus a little stuffed dog. There's a very loving story behind it and I really adore the young man who gave it to me. All the things I am keeping make me smile when I look at them so I figure they belong here with me.

Good thing the recyclable trash is going out on Thur. I'm going to have that sucker filled to the brim. I'm maybe a third of the way there. After my dailies tomorrow morning I'll be ready to hit it full force. Keep thinking about next week and how nice it will be to look back and see this all done....

Nitters to ya'll......

Back from visit to Dcousins (10 am), lunch with DD#2, DS, DDIL & DGD#6 (noonish), and mani/pedi with the girls at 1. Then picked up chicken for the group and had picnic dinner inside at Dnephew's cause it was hot and windy. (Storm warnings until 2 am)

We are now back at our MH and ready for bed. It has been a long day.

She needs to get everything for the morning laid out the night before and there won't be any crisis in the morning. (Off the soap box)
