Tuesday Reboot

Post by Kathryn-in-Canada »

The day is not off to a good start so dh has dropped me at Presbytery, will meet with the accountant and then go home to reboot the day. We left the house without rain coats and the item to be returned to IKEA.

Do you have to reboot your days too?

Reboot all the time Kathryn. Only we call it Plan B. Sometimes we seem to get to Plan ZZ.

Today's plan is to visit cousin at 10, lunch around noon and then mani/pedi for 7 at 1. It will be my Dsis, her DD and DDIL, Me, my DD, DDIL & DGD#6. We should have fun.

Last night the Dance Gallery that is owned by Dsis's DS and DDIL had a fund raiser at the Pizza Ranch so we all ended up there. We had a really good time and they made a lot of $$ for the dancers going to advanced ballet camp.

Next up is breakfast and then dishes. I don't think I have any clean bowls so if I want to eat breakfast, I have to do dishes.

Good Morning!
Sometimes we seem to get to Plan ZZ.
Well said MT!

Tuesday lunch is our time to explore/have adventures/picnic/fish/swim/SOMETHING. It has been raining the last two Tuesdays which limited what we could do outdoors. Today weather is to be sunny & close to 100 degrees so the weather won't limit our choices. However, we do have 2 separate funerals today (extended friend circle) that will attend if possible this afternoon. Due to time crunch I think we will opt to picnic at Spray Park. That way LO can play and I can pretend to be "helping" him while getting sprayed too. As I was cleaning up the kitchen after breakfast, I made chicken salad and then rolled it up inside of LC tortillas. It is such a easy meal to take on a picnic.

My foot is tender again today by the end of the day it had worked out yesterday. Hoping that is the case again today I'm thinking I may have stepped on an little green apple in the back yard. Walked in the field it's softer than pavement.

I've finished my work for the day. And had cake. This time the celebration was the retirement of the other Resource Centre volunteer. She's been at this for 25 years and today's her last day.

Ds will be here when he's here, or 2 p.m. at the latest. So I'm going to eat my lunch now and do some reading.

Yes, a reboot sounds like a plan, Kathryn. I caved on getting ds to work today - as I told dh it's not often that ds asks me to do something for him, and besides, he very generously offered to buy Starbucks for me this morning. :) However, dh went off in a huff this morning (over the realtor's instructions to pressure wash the screened porch which dh apparently doesn't think needs doing?) and then taking ds to work just flew all over me. I hope ds will drive tomorrow - it takes close to two hours driving downtown twice if I'm at home.

Whoops, didn't get this posted before I took off earlier. DH called and then I had to fly out the door to make the closet appointment.

Morning ya'll...

I kept to my plan today. Up early, walked Willie Boy, eat breakfast, picked up foot prints, made bed and spent an 1.5 hours outside watering plans and sweeping the porch. I have a load of wash going and one waiting.

I've decided today is the day I tackle my office. I was going to vacuum and dust first but figured that would be a waste of my time ;) This project is going to take awhile. I need to address my desk....glad ya'll can't see it...and then I will start pulling my closet apart. Everything needs to be reset. I have a GW run planned for tomorrow. Think I will have a lot to add to the pile.

Hot here today...high of 108..I've already drank 60 ozs of water and its not even 10 here. Last night we went to In-and-out to eat and then made a trip to wally world. The store was uncrowded and we went through in a snap. Thurs are usually my grocery days but my schedule isn't quite set yet. Too much to do around here. Once I get everything organized THEN I can stick to my cards.

I ordered business cards yesterday for myself. I plan to sub at a later date and this is just one more thing to cross off my list. My office is also my work/exercise room I figure it will take me a good 2-3 days to get it the way I want it. I intentionally didn't bring much home from school. But I want my office to reflect my personality and be peaceful as well. Kind of an oxymoron sometimes, but eventually I would like to get back to my creative writing and I need a calming place to do it.

Okay...I'm just about ready to start. Waving to ya'll and hope you have a great day. Cya'll later...........

I've been through reading all my posts from May 31 to June 6. I'm looking for my rain coat and was hoping something I said in the posts would give me a clue where I left it. Really, I think it has to be at the second church or choir. Rereading posts reminded me I had it on June 3rd so it is somewhere between the afternoon of June 3 and June 6. And basically that was the second church, choir, and presbytery. It isn't here at Presbytery.

Kathryn, interesting way to recall something!

I tried to reboot, but today was more like yesterday. I had a ton of paperwork to do, then I reconciled an account and got ck register up to date. Found $10.00!

Back up to title company when they called and picked up check, finally, and took it to bank. I've been reading in a book someone gave me. I'm going to go sew for an hour. 1 LOL hanging up outside. That's about it today.
