Hello, villagers ~
Book sale today was fun but not as many people as I expected. Hopefully people will continue to go in this week and be honest about putting money in the box for the books and movies they take. Next Saturday we'll let everyone take as much as they want to carry for $5. Whatever is left at the end, we have to carry it all up the stairs and try to figure out what to do with it.
I was strict with myself and only brought home 9 or 10 books and a jigsaw puzzle. Most of the books I'll read and then take back for the library to resell. The puzzle was priced 25 cents and is for the next sewing retreat. I took one to retreat last fall, and people had fun with it whenever they needed a break from their sewing machines.
I bid on a couple of the silent auction items to get them started, but other people added bids after mine so I'm off the hook.
A storm came through this afternoon. We finally got a little rain! a tiny little bit of rain!
Tomorrow my family is getting together at my older DSis's for my DMom's birthday, which is later in the week. I'm going to wait and cut up the veggies in the morning. I've been on my feet enough today.
On the way home from my family, we'll stop at DMIL's. She had cataract surgery last week. I have some fabric for her because she says she wants to try to get back into sewing now that both of her eyes have been "done."
