I'm glad that there's enough in Kathryn's lab report to get her condition noticed and things moving toward a diagnosis, although I hate that she's still feeling yucky. Hoping something turns up on further testing that is easily remedied.

I left work at 1:15 to go meet with Rabbi and checked out for the day. DH called all upset that I wasn't at home to help direct the moving of boxes onto our new garage shelves. The shelves are actually above the level of the garage door, but on the side wals. All of his comic books are now stored up high, with room to spare. The new shelves also allow for hanging things like yard tools, lawn chairs and dh's bicycle from the shelves to get them off the garage floor. By the time I met with the rabbi and got home, they were basically done, tho.

Was put out with dh over him asking me to come home from work - he said he didn't realize I had gone to back to work :? and he thought I didn't go back to work until after Labor day. For however many years, I've gone back to part-time work when the kids started school mid August so I'm not sure where he's been.

It was pouring rain this afternoon so I napped, then picked up Moses about an hour ago after his bath.

Making slow headway here -

***kitchen restored to maintenance mode
** Tomatoes processed - 9 bags into the freezer
** Dining room is about 90% improvement
** snuggled with LO while he took a nap. These days of afternoon naps together is almost over.....he starts to school next week (Thursday).

MPB is broke. DH made the 2 hour drive to factory to get a new motor for it. He is scrambling to get it installed and back online this afternoon. We are looking forward to being away from it for 72 hours this weekend.

Keeping an eye on a new fire that started about 10 miles North of us. Hopefully they will be able to get it under control. Our little corner of the world is classified with the 2nd worst drought rating. Everything is so dry that it is scary how fast the fire moves.

Next -
** cook lasagna
** LO readied for swim lessons
** Prepare/mail water bill (only bill they won't let me pay online or by auto withdraw *****grrrrrr***)

There can be a flurry of tests when things are not really so imperative. December 2009 when I had abdominal pain and a blood test for pancreatic enzymes came back iffy, I was sent for pancreas ultrasound, gall bladder scan, X-ray and barium swallow all on the same day. The tests didn't show anything relating to the pain at all, next blood test was ordinary, and the idea was that maybe the pain was because of AR, but at least not worrisome any more - didn't know. Bills were nice and clear, though. ;) That's how I hope it is for you, Kathryn, and for you even the bills will be calmer.

Oh, OKay, I hope everyone is safe.

I am allergic to Advil and similar, so no experience, but aspirin products have been unkind to my stomach through the years. I now take aspirin products only in the middle of a meal, and rarely. Actually, it's Tylenol products I've heard are bad for liver.

Lilac, I meant to say also thank goodness the nurse had someone to call who would be good in a crisis.

Harmony, this too shall pass. Really pick the doctor's brain - what to do preventatively, etc.

Yes the doc saying no tylenol makes a lot of sense. Although it wasn't tylenol overdose that caused this, I hardly take any - advil is my drug of choice. I sent the receptionist scurrying when she told me no tylenol because I had also been told no advil and needed to know what to do if the pain was bad like last night (it was touch and go about a run into the ER.) The answer came back, advil if I absolutely need something.

Yes, Harriet, no bills to deal with here. That is a plus. There are bills for dental, eyes care, prescriptions, physiotherapy, and other stuff, but not for hospital tests or doctor visits so this can be investigated. And I got to pick the hospital for my test, picking one that is closer than the one she recommended - which means dh can take me (otherwise, I would have had to find someone to drive me because I'm not strong enough to drive an hour right now.) I know that even with insurance in the US, you can't always pick your hospitals.

I had a glass of orange crush. Need to figure out what to do about nutrition. I haven't had any for a while. No vitamin pills since Monday night (and that is the last time I ate anything close to a meal.) No food even interests me so all I've had today is a bit of applesauce and a 1/2 cup of soup, plus saltines. At least I've had enough water for the day.

Dh is making me a hard boiled egg right now, so I guess I'll eat that. And figure out what fiber I can have, if any. Normally, if I don't feel like eating, I don't eat because I know I'll get better, but this has been going on long enough that I don't feel positive I'll ever eat again.

Can't take Advil here either, Kathryn. Dr told me last fall that it was hurting my kidneys. Now I try to take 1 1/2 tylenol instead of 2, trying to cut back when I absolutely need them.

Have no idea what happened to my post earlier today. Did one this morning and it's not here. :|

Had dgd17, dsgd12 and dgs7 off and on today. Went to the beach for a while to 'watch' them and then took the girls home about 4. DGS slept all the way home & came in and watched Qubo for a bit until his ddad called to say he was here at their RV.

DD left here at 4a.m. yesterday & got home at 2:30a.m. today! Way too many hours in a car for anyone, even if they are young! I sure couldn't do it.

DH has eye appointment at 9a.m. tomorrow so we'll leave here by 8:10.

I postponed errands until tomorrow morning and spent a lot of time today in that stubborn storage room. It looks a lot better. I found 3 or 4 boxes that need to be sorted. It appears that most of their contents can be given away or tossed. I ran out of time to deal with them tonight, so left them stacked in an easily accessible place.

On my breaks from decluttering, I watched parts of some kitchen renovation shows on the DIY channel. Our kitchen layout is fine, but it's fun to see how appliances have improved since we bought ours in 1993. Of course, just seeing them on tv, I can't judge their actual size.

I have a meeting at the library first thing in the morning. Must try to get to sleep before midnight, always a challenge.

Did read J&C but didn't post...saying the same thing over and over...I am thinking about all the needs around here. And wishing everybody to get well soon, good test results, all that.

DH did finally ask me what was wrong with me. I didn't know what to say. Maybe that I'm an introvert in an extrovert world, and I did tell him some of the things that make me anxious. It's like talking a foreign language to him. He's a people person with unlimited courage.

But I am doing better, getting over my pity party. I did a few things to keep up around here, but sewed a lot and read some. It was so nice to have a restful day for a change.

Still need to pop out to the kitchen and make lunches. Maybe I should blog about it (Nancy) enjoyed your comment.

Have we been missing bittersweet?
