We are parked - great view out the windshield as everyone that comes in goes past us.

DH is directionally challenged so - since one of us had to drive the rig and one the toad (towed vehicle, i.e. pick up) - I was able to drive the MH into the fairgrounds. It was cool. I only had to drive about a mile but it was in city traffic. I even parked it.

We have been to the office and picked up our volunteer packet and patches. Nothing else going until 1 pm so we have over an hour to spend getting the rig in shape, or otherwise unpacked.

Oh! I picked up 2 pair of jeans. Not often I get a pair to fit - so I got both. One is dark and one stone washed.

Just saw this on FB and had to chuckle. I would love to get a card made up like this to hand out. (Not to anyone here) but some people are just such victims.

Good afternoon, one and all!

Wearing sweatpants here, too! Back from the grocery store. Stocked up more than usual. Missed having a teenager or two along with me. They always unloaded the cart at checkout time. Was going to get my flu shot, but am wearing a blouse that would have been hard to roll the sleeve up, so that had to wait.

To go with MT's FB chuckle, here is another one...

No sweatpants here, just sweat. It is still hot here. Grey skies. I'm really yearning for some rain.

Watched your video last night, Harriet. Very cute! Made me yawn.

First thing this AM I got a form modified and emailed off.

No breakfast, fasting blood tests this morning. I forgot about that last evening and ate in the evening, so I had to wait till mid morning to go have my blood drawn. It was enough hours for it to be ok. 3 or 4 vials of blood. I quit looking. I'm very lucky, I have good veins, they always get mine on the first stick. I hate the rubber tourniquet on my arm worse than the needle.

Came home determined to do a conga. After a rest I started in on the kitchen. I got dishes done and various other chores waiting, then I came back here for a break.

DH called about payroll and I was trying to figure out a check amount for him and he changed what he wanted me to do and I got all confused and flustered, fixed the amount for him. Now I'm in tears. What in the world is wrong with me. If this turns out to be mental and not physical, you can all visit me in a rubber room somewhere. I'll put an apron on over my white shirt just for all of you.

Going to try to do a couple more things. I need to get groceries (ran out of milk) and gas in the car, and my Rx. I know I'm not up to it, but it needs done. I don't like to ask DH, with his sore hip, I just can't.

I need a personal assistant. Yeah, that'd help.

Morning Y'all...

I'm up, foot prints picked up, doggies feed...Sweetie has to stay with them while they eat...we feed them outside and the guys building the garage seem to be leery of them. We laugh cause we know how sweet nature the doggies are. I wanted to introduce the guys to our dogs, but Sweetie didn't want me to. I have one load of laundry washing and is almost ready to flipp, and another one to follow.

I'll congo with the rest of you...
Laundry, washed, dried, folded and put away
carpets vacuumed
guest bathrooms cleaned
Office rearranged
Wall hanging hung
Bulletin board hung

The weather is turning cooler. Can't wait so I can get outside. Want to do somethings around my covered patio but can't because we are having our entire house painted. I think that happens sometime next week.

Okay... if you google ....pull up elastic waist jeans for boys ...there's a site where mom's tell other moms which stores or online stores sell pull up jeans for boys LO size. Interesting read as many moms say their older boys just don't like regular pants.

MT...yeah for finding not 1 but 2 pair of jeans. I wear alot of jean jumpers and dresses, especially around the house. Most of mine come from GW because stores don't carry them any more and I'm like Okay...I'd rather not wear pants. I get way to hot in them around here in the summer time. However once it gets a bit cooler I'll have to dig out my long jeans. I've taken to wearing long yoga pants because they look good and are so comfortable.

Harmony...Don't laugh at the sleeping disorder as a reason for your not-so-hot health. Remember about 6 years ago I was so tired and fatigued I wasn't sure I would be able to teach in the fall. After mountains of test I was sent to a rheumatoidist dr. because my joints ached. After a 5 minute exam and questioning HE's the one who told me he thought I had a sleeping disorder. I told him I thought he was nuts...true statement. However the joke was on me...turned out he was right :D

I had to have a sleeping test...did that basically to show the dr that he was wrong...that meant sleeping in a center overnight where I was hooked up to all sorts of monitors. I failed the test...I thought I had been sleeping, but in fact I never went into deep REM sleep which your body requires....THAT's why I was tired. I had to take sleeping meds. I fought it at first, but found it really did help. Stress really messes with me in my sleep....who knew...it was the worst ever from last March till after I retired. There's not much known about sleeping disorders and most people are far too embarrassed to talk about it. I had problems concentrating, staying organized and overall just felt pure lousy. I was nasty and irritable towards everyone. Plus, it was confirmed I was eating in my sleep, which is why I gained over 25 lbs :o

Most people think they can control how they sleep. I'm here to tell you that's not true. Most sleep drs will tell you they don't really understand why this happens to a person...there is only theory...at first I was ashamed to admit I had this disorder. Most people laugh when I tell them about my eating in my sleep 'cause it seems so obscene. I can't take OTC sleeping aids as they produce night terrors when I take them. I am truly thankful that I found someone who could help me even though I thought his idea was crazy at first.....

This is me....what you don't see in this video is that the woman takes a raw potato and a knife from the kitchen and returns to her bed. There she peels and eats the raw potato and puts the knife under her pillow when she is finished. I eat weird things too, but the scariest time was when I woke up with a mouthful of nuts plus I had nuts in my hand. It happened three times that night.

Cowinkie, That's really interesting about the sleep disorder and all.

Harmony, It sounds like you're keeping warm there and we're in need of rain, too. I never thought of a personal asst., but I sure have wished I had a CLONE!

Emptynester, That quote was hilarious! And true! Thanks for sharing! :)

So far on my PODA~

- haven't dusted, maybe this afternoon
:D I wrote 1 letter to 1 pen pal; sent a long email to the other pen pal, so I won't "need" to write a letter immediately.
:D Scrubbed 3 toilets
:D Cleaned the main/guest bathroom mirror
- Haven't started the paperwork project yet; maybe in the afternoon? :?:
- Haven't walked, but have been walking doing housework and have been doing occasional stretching

Ta Da~

- Washing dark towels
- Wrote the 1 letter
- 3 bathrooms cleaned
- cleaned the kitchen counters
- washed 4 mirrors
- cleaned 5 sinks

I need to take a break because I'm achy and am supposed to "baby step" activity with rest. I'll post later.

Happy Conga Day! :D

Had a pretty poor sleeping night and was sleeping on the wrong end -dh came in at 8:10 and I was still asleep! :o We had an appointment at 9 1/2 hour or so away. Got dressed, medicated and grabbed a yogurt. This was for dh's financial advisor. I really didn't want to go in. I can't describe what it does to me but all that finanacial stuff is very stressful for me. Of course dh came out to get me. Thought I was going to climb the walls before we were done. Dh can't understand why I was nervous. News was better than he expected -way more than I expected but not near what we would hope.

One thing we had to do (which I was under the impression was already done) was to dissolve dh's 401k Sole Proprietorship. Not easy by the looks of things and we really don't qualify to have it any more. Financial advisor called just a few minutes ago to tell me where she's at with it and that she'd talked to our tax man -to be sure everyone is on the same page.

I'm still tired and think I'll give in to a nap.
I just hate phone calls so they're all DPCs to me.
Me too, Helia. Have no logical reason why.

Wind is picking up and sky to north getting quite dark. Cold front and rain are coming. BBL when I'm more coherent.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

Back from grocery....this round:
-shape the challah to rise
-put away the rest of groceries
-reboot the laundry
-get flowers in a vase with water
-15 minutes toward clearing kitchen table

Walk through at the house next to us that is under construction today - they are supposed to close next Friday, a week from today. I'm kind of dreading them moving in - they have three little kids and their house was sited so their patio is right next to ours. I wonder if I can get some Sky pencil hollies put in this week between us? :? We've really had good privacy so far because our MBR extends back between us and the house on the other side and they have to be at the very back of their lot before we see them. We have nothing directly behind us - the hill slopes off and we have wooded hills as our view.

I have finished most of the laundry...Made Sweetie eggs and toast, did some desk work and now am about to fold some laundry.

I bought some new Healthy Choice Greek frozen yogurt yesterday....its only 100 calories per serving...not sure but I believe its between 1/2 and 3/4 cup...bought the raspberry flavor. Comes 3 individual servings in a package and cost me $2.50 at W mart. Got to tell you it was delicious. Not gonna let Sweetie know about it cause they would be gone in no time around him. He can eat the real ice cream. He's skinny....well slender like Jimmy Stewart...and never gains an ounce. We're like Jack Sprat and his wife in my house

I'll post 6x6:
x 1. a.m. routine - can I count that?
x 2. errands: WW - 9:30 and bank
x 3. living areas tidy
4. folders organization done: create Heb binder, organize moms group folder for this year
x 5. 1 - meet for coffee w/ dh and a friend in one of our small groups who is going through a hard time; dh has much better counseling skills than I do.
6. exercise; cool drizzly days are perfect for jogging!

Adding. . dh and I cleaned the chicken coop and feeder and moved the coop this afternoon. That took a bit of time. So, I want some credit for it. :)

I'm meeting dh at 5:30 to go for a jog. The day has turned clear and sunny! I'm now concerned that it might be kind of warm.

The girls are arriving. . . . .

I'm feeling tired. Maybe I'll try to lie down for a bit. I wonder if that would even work with a house full of 16 year old girls.

I finished my PODA items:

- dusted the house
- wrote 1 letter, but emailed the other 1 I owe a letter to
- scrubbed 3 toilets
- washed the main/guest bathroom mirror
- worked on a paperwork project for awhile
- walked 35 minutes.

Ta Da~

- downloaded some Nook books
- washed and put away towels
- de-wrinkled some clothes to put back into my closet
- gave a df some places to go in her area or on-line to learn beginning crochet. YouTube is a great place and there are other instructional free sites, too.
