Elizabeth, I have to clean out my Inbox far too often. And delete the Spam file and the Deleted folder. Gr-r-r!
Yes, I didn't think about the fact that gals here who are not on Ravelry ( which is probably most) can't see what is posted there. I shall have to look you up there.I am mamapiano there too. Must admit I haven't done much knitting lately but I keep trying to get back to it.

Ivy, the link you posted took me to a blank page on the right site but not the contest. I found the page by going to "Games" and seeing "Contest" and then searching for "Vote". On that page under the place to vote were all the stories. I checked out the one with the most votes, too, and yours is better.

Oh, Harriet! What a nice thing to say! I was beginning to doubt myself as a writer because that one person has so many votes! I guess between now and closing date of April 9, things can change. Thanks for the vote and compliment, too. It makes me very happy, too.

Think I'm done packing for dh -he's not taking much home with him. He sent some stuff up a couple of weeks ago with ds-R and I'm sending a small package up in a couple of days. So he only has to take on his carry on. We're leaving here at 6am (in order to avoid the sun coming up while I'm traveling east). It's so bright about 7:30 that I can't see looking eastward. It'll take us about an hour to get to Orlando.
DD, dh and I went to Disney (Epcot) today. Had made reservations to eat in Germany this afternoon -knew he'd like it and he did! (along with the entertainment). Got back in time for dd to pick up gd at her youth camp (her church group has an activity for each day this week during spring break).
We went over to see dbil/dsil for an hour or so in order for dh to tell his db goodbye.
DD has gone to have coffee with the dd of our dfriend who passed away a couple of weeks ago. She was trying to get gd into her room toward bed before she left without telling gd she was going out for a bit. And then all ---- broke loose. GD said something to dsonil and he started giving her orders, led to her telling him to "shut up", etc, etc. DD did get her in her room. Asked if she wanted to come tell Grandpa goodbye. "I see him all summer and I don't care!!!!!" Little does she realize she will NOT see him THIS summer at all! He's a bit hurt by this and dd was terribly hurt.

Don't think she realizes at all that she will not be seeing her cousins, aunts, uncles, Grandpa at all this year, if any time in the future. This program is supposed to last at least 18 months. When/if she comes back home will depend on how her progress and behavior is over that time.
Need to go and browse things packed for dh and make sure there's nothing else I need to do right now.
DD
was given a date for gd to go to the Sheriff's Youth Ranch, this afternoon -now not until April 16th at 1PM. At least we now have a date. But weren't figuring on another 3 weeks. I can do this, I can do this, I can do this........... Just want to be able to have a LITTLE nice time before we head back home. Know dd and I will be encouraging each other. Know she was in tears tonight.

Ivy and Harriet, I got to the contest page but couldn't find the word "vote" on it anywhere. The page had all the rules for the contest. I even did a search with my computer and turned up nothing. . .

I figured it out. Enjoyable story, Ivy! I had to look up what a marabou was!
I agree, the one with the most votes is a little flat. Yours has more interest and life, Ivy.

I'll try to re-post the link. I hope you can find where to vote. I had an email link from them, which I put in 1 vote for me, but they only allow 1 vote per email address. Here goes again:

I hope you can find the "vote" hole, #4, "Infatuated by a Total Jerk!". Others have told me they voted. I'll go check out this link, after I submit this.

DD11 has come and gone. Once again, she wanted to stay at home (with takeout Chinese, of course). We played dodge ball in the LR with some of her stuffed animals. She found one in need of repairs. When the game wound down, she wanted to do the repairs herself, so out came the sewing kit! While she did that, I glued the 'pearls' on her friend's tiara, then worked on a new crochet project. DD's American Girl doll is in need of underwear, so that is what I am making. Once again, I am going to try to post some pictures on Arts Crafts & Needlework. Then, maybe some cleanup in the LR and more crochet with a mindless video.
ETA: I have succeeded in posting pictures of the doll dress, see http://www.shesorganized.net/phpbb/view ... 468#p86468.
