Tried getting here earlier than I have been lately. Yes, I remember Cowinkie first using the term "Footprints" and explaining what she meant!

The weather is much nicer here today. Yesterday was gray and rainy all day. We had a couple of hard showers early this morning, but the sun is shining now.

I found footprints in the dining room and bedroom this morning, so cleared the dining table and put away clothes off dresser. Most of the heavy weekend cleaning is done. Tomorrow morning will be dusting, emptying trash cans, etc. Among other things I fixed my vitamin container for next week and put away groceries when dh came home from grocery store. I still want to water houseplants and planter on front porch. We got plenty of rain for the rest of the plants!

***Harriet, I wanted to say *Happy Birthday* to your ddad. Sounds like he had a nice day! Also hoping your duncle continues to improve. Maybe the dr. will prescribe home health care while he recoups.
***OKay, when our three dsons were in Little League they played winter ball as well as spring/summer, which started in Feb. here. I remember thermoses of hot coffee or hot chocolate and wrapping up in blankets as we sat on cold metal bleachers to watch practices and games! Ah, those were the days!

Hello to everyone! Well, time to rustle something up for supper!

Footsteps came from Cowinkie. I just borrowed it as it was such a great description of what we do.

AH!!! My lot is cactus free of all unwanted cactus. I still have the big ones around the north and east fence - but all the rest is gone. Last week's load was 3/4 of a ton - I bet this week is a ton as we have a lot of heavy agave in there. I pulled out 3 big ones and we had two that wouldn't fit on the trailer from last week. We also did a lot of tree trimming. I say we - but it was the guy we hired with DH and I supervising. Well, I got to do the fun stuff like pulling out the agave with the Rhino.

I did cook lunch - potato soup and salad with a fudgecycle for desert.

He is raking out the places he took cactus out and picking up rocks - then I will back the MH back in its place and take some more after pictures for the blog on Sunday.

Yesterday, I went to all the websites of the Drs. we have to see and downloaded all the forms they will need. It saves a lot of time if I do it at home where I have access to the information. One Dr, has it online and we just fill in the blanks and send it to him. That makes it a lot easier as the staff don't have to enter all the stuff.

I also made up a map we know where to go.

MT, it is interesting to hear how you garden out there. DH wanted to buy some plants he saw advertised on TV but I said no they are most likely for northern climates. We are zone 9B or 10. Lots of stuff we can't grow here.

I miss my forsythia and my lilacs.

It feels like I worked for hours and hours and hours...but I only got 1 room deep-cleaned. One of the bedrooms. I did go up on ladder and clean the ceiling fan & lights, wiped all the woodwork, all the usual. All that's left is to put the clean sheets on but I'm waiting for the floor to dry. I found 1 earring. Not even in the same room, but where I stand to get dressed. 1 still missing.

I am bushed. Gee, I used to clean 3, 4, 5 rooms, sometimes the whole house at once, but I can't seem to do that any more. Doing this room I had to keep sitting down between jobs.

Hi everyone! I have been working on a document at payroll, but today has been a very interrupted day. First I had to go with XDH and DD11 to get her passport (both parents must be present). That took FOREVER! That made me late for lunch with friends, but I had warned them early on that I would be late. I am put out because I still haven't heard from the ceiling fixer. I have tried to call her, but I get that she has not set up her mailbox. I had put her down for the 4th and 5th. I thought that maybe it should have been 4th OR 5th, but now I have no idea WHEN to expect her or HOW to get in touch with her. I should have gone to art class last night and asked her sister. I have volunteered to take a friend to the airport tomorrow at 7 IN THE MORNING! YIKES!!! The first thing on my list for tonight is to SET THE ALARM! I also need to call her to tell her when I will be getting to her house.

So tonight will be: knit/crochet group, set alarm, call dFriend, find and look at event folder, finish DD's bookcase, check last night's downloads.

Tomorrow, in addition to the airport venture, I must work on the roof and find out when to start and how much to water my plants.

So much for my plans. I threw them all to the wind and invented Plan B.
** I went with DH to his doctor appt. Good News is the doc doesn't think he has a hernia. Not sure what is going on though. DH will have an ultrasound on Tuesday and hopefully it will give some clues. DH will return to doc next Friday to get checked again.
**I received notification that my fingerprints were unacceptable in my conceal carry license application so I returned to sheriff office to have them redone (old fashion ink type). Hopefully this time the state will accepted them. I went to the big city police dept with intention of getting digital fingerprints done, but after waiting for over an hour I gave up on that effort (they were booking people which took priority).
** This morning LO teacher aide told me that he was having coughing episodes to the point it interfered with LO doing his activities. So I returned to school with some OTC meds and gave to LO. Sheez! I had to go through 4 people to administer the OTC meds to LO which took extra time.
** FNG prep done. House spruced up. Furniture arraigned to fit everyone in.
** time spent in garden with my helper by my side. Very enjoyable.

Day is done.

Dinner wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. My senior friend got to see a lot of old friends. The price for dinner was high $18 and it was badly attended, we think because of the price.

I've spent the evening reading up on a new cruise line for us. Quotes have arrived for our next two cruises. I'll have to go looking for money so we can put down deposits. The cabin on the new-to-us cruise line is very small and it will have a balcony (which is a disadvantage for us since it means we have to leave space in front of the door and have no place to set up our computers like we do when there is just a window.) The ship is also bigger, so more people, less cabin space. That makes me nervous but everything else seems exciting and the price isn't too bad. This is for a 2015 cruise so life may get in the way. I'll still make plans, though, because I like to make God laugh.

I only visited at hospital once today, but it was somewhat stressful. I think dear uncle is becoming defensive about his health. Finally told my ddad that his brother has been in the hospital.

Actually I woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Both HRH and dd had a chance to sleep in, and I wasn't very pleasant by the time they got up, having dealt with frustration on several sides through phone calls, my ddad's confusion, etc. I just start looking around at all that is expected of me and feeling put-upon. HRH went out and got gasoline, took trash and recyclables to the cans, made a grocery trip. That's nice, but it was in response to my complaints, so then I felt bad, not as nice as it could have been.

Long nap again - not sure what is going on with me, possibly a reaction to a week or more of daily stress. Tomorrow is another day.

Hi again everyone! I worked on a database programming project instead of the bookcase. I still cannot connect to the database, but the program compiles and runs, so progress has been made. I found the event folder in my car, need to read it sometime before next week. Next up: crochet and video, then bed. I have already taken care of the cats.
