Waving to y'all....
I've been very tired for some reason. Just taking it easy today. Willis is now napping after a long swim. A tired dog is a happy dog.

Helia I've been wondering is you have ever tried kenneling a dog. Sadie's always had one and I bought one for Willis as soon as he adopted me. Since pups won't mess in their kennel house training is much easier. Both Sadie an Willis kennels are in my bedroom. In my cases when the dogs are out loose in the house, Sadie gets too excited and wants to play hard with Willis. That can and has lead to fights. They are find together when I walk them or am in the room, but left unattended usually leads to problems.

To elevate this every two hours we alternate who's in and who's out and about. Sadie loves her kennel so much she can be found sleeping in her's even when she's out. Both are very happy and well behaved dogs...just ask Norma who's been around them.

My brother has raised two seeing eye dogs for the blind. The asso has very strict guild lines for how my brother must raise them. He is told what and when to feed them and must attend monthly classes with his dog. He has them for two years and then has to turn the dogs back. He has raised a lab and a Shepard and kennels are mandatory from day one.

My pups are barking.... Need to check at what cy'all later.

I fired up the grill for the first time this summer. I found myself wondering why I stop using it during winter. I think I associate the grill to not heating up the house in the summer time. I need to modify my thinking! Cooking outdoors is so easy and adds a wonderful flavor to the food.

This morning I tossed a thick steak & some Italian dressing into a gallon ziploc bag. The meat was marinated to perfection when it was time to toss onto grill. Potato, onions & bell peppers were prepared in foil pouches. It was simple and so good. Although next I will remember to spray the foil so the vegetables don't stick

Two DNephews came to visit (separately) this afternoon. We enjoyed catching up with their life happenings.

LO and I get to attend church tonight. DH usually goes by himself, however since school is over we can slide LO's bath/bedtime to a later time slot.

Mike was extremely impressed with all the work I did while he was away. Loved the oven being so clean.

On the drive from the airport, after I let him tell me most of his news, I told him I had to tell him some stuff that was "Good, bad and ugly." Told him about the calls from his mom. He called his parents when he got home last night. He is over there now for a visit because he thinks his dad needs to know how to deal with some stuff. He was very grateful that I dealt with it the way I did and he said he wouldn't have been able to deal with it. He got a very small sample during his phone call last night.

Mike unpacked all of his luggage and now there is sugar, coffee, cigars, rum and carvings all over the place. (Cuban sugar is mostly traded to France in exchange for certain dairy products like butter.) Cuban coffee is reallllllllly good. So much so, that I will drink coffee there and not my usual tea. He only bought 2 carvings on this trip.

Grandfather clock has been wound and it's nice to hear it again.

Tonight I get to put my feet up and read a book.

After assessment by the doctor that I usually see, dd may have a stress fracture in her foot. She's getting a bone scan on Friday a.m. to see if it can be confirmed - doc sees "something" on X-ray but not definitive. May send her to an orthopedist next week - and she's supposed to leave for summer camp counseling on June 4. Some info online indicates that a cast is sometimes needed...

I just walked up to pool with ds, who is going to fill in five days this summer for the "pool boy" who is the same teen that took care of Macs and Moe some during tax season.

I was going to grill some chicken tonight, but the rain is coming down...think I'll use the George Foreman grill instead.

Hummm, just checked work email and an important meeting toorrow from 10:30 to late afternoon was announced at 4 p.m. today. Sent a message to managing tax partner asking for his take on whether I should reschedule Macs' PT appointment.

Yes, Helia, hyper-vigilant is what we had to do with Macs, who was crate trained. He also enjoyed his crate - slept in it when they slept in the garage in our old house but we didn't put it back up when we moved here.

Yummmmmm Okay those steaks sound good. So gladLO is doing so well should be a fun summer w swimming lessons and all.

Harriet...your dd's top sounds darling. Sounds like a wonderful night filled with music. My kind of night.

Ant man came today and hopefully the queen is getting a bellyful of special treats that he provided. Helia "cookies" treats help to coax pups into their crates. Sweetie even shares his rice checks with them in the morning. Thinking abt my son and wondering if he's wet.... If its raining at the bottom of the mts at twins bet there's a good chance he's a bit damp.

Oof. We need a smilie for "tired." I powered through the day to write several articles, answered I-lost-track-of-how-many Emails and phone calls, researched a bunch of info, wrote more articles, did a lot of proofreading, and -- did NOT take a nap.

I seriously needed a nap, but tried doing some exercises instead to save time. Um ... I think additional sleep would have helped more, but now I am guilt free that
1) I did my workout, and
2) I met the first newsletter deadline, therefore I can relax this evening.

I need to finish washing a few dishes (I've been doing them during breaks) and gather the trash to take to the curb. Otherwise that's going to be it for chores tonight. Looking forward to a DVD movie and/or a book!

Booksaver: When setting up the boards, we looked into getting a smilie for "tired" but it was too expensive. phpBB said that as we are homemakers they expected we would be overusing it and would have to charge a surcharge! (just kidding)

Yawning here. Doing some exegesis for my sermon. Need to do some tidying, there was a lot of shoving of stuff out of the way so we could eat dinner at the kitchen table. The dining room is a similar lost cause.

My birthday present from dh (my 2012 birthday) arrived today. Of course, he's away so I have to wait until he's home to open it. Sigh...

DH & I returned from Hagerstown, MD mid-morning. Got a not so great motel room last night. He's so tired & trying to get so much done before his surgery. Just praying for him to make it through the week! The difference in him is very noticeable. Going first thing tomorrow for his blood work.

Went to ds-A's to pick up registration & plates for dh's Mom's '74 Mercury Comet. He'll drive it when he can later this summer. Got to snuggle dgs10months several times & got lots of smiles & giggles. Little stinker is walking all over the place. Knew he would be by the time I got home. He is just so sweet and gives us plenty of joy. They're trying to teach him to say Grandpa Or whatever his name for him will be, so he can say it after dh's surgery. Will be very good medicine I'm sure.

I put all suitcases, etc on our bed this morning. NOW I need to empty them & get ready for dh to literally fall in it. His fatigue is worrisome at best. I'm counting down -as is he.
