(((Elizabeth)))) OUCH! Both feet are broke? Are you in cast? Oh my.
Came in to cool down before LO arrives home. I drank over 60 oz of water while working in the garden but am still craving more.
Harvested -
** 6 pumpkins
** 9 watermelons
** 5 WM bags of peppers (4 different kinds)
I pulled up all the watermelon vines and all the pepper plants so they are done for the year. I carried all those plants/vines to the pasture fence and tossed them over. Not sure if the livestock will eat it, but it gets it out of my way. There are many more pumpkins to harvest so I left those vines alone. I started on the green bean plants but decided to stop and take a break.

Hi everyone
Lucylee here in calif for a speeding ticket you can go to court the date is on the ticket and lots of times the judge will reduce the amount of the ticket and you can take an online drivers course so that it will not go on your record nor affect your car insurance, i took c are of mine that way.

Hiya, cats!
Every state is probably different, but here, the advice is ask your auto insurance agent whether a class would be the right thing to do in your case. It is sometimes best to forgo the class unless/until you actually need to get "points" off your license. You want to hold your option on the class for as long as you can, while time passes and "points" have a chance to "roll" off your record by themselves. If you use the option to take a class when you don't need to, you could be out of luck later, because the state won't let you take another class for a certain number of years.

Ds posted a few more blog entries. The last one is the funniest yet - he's got a very dry sense of humour. Of course, the subject matter - getting the camper van - lends itself to humour. Here are a few quotes:
At first I had a hard time because I was drifting out of my lane...I have to think to keep the car hugging the right painted line but it is working well for me.
Parking the campervan is another thing all together. I am unable to use the rear view mirror because of the amount of people we have in it so I am relying on the side mirrors completely.... I had a few issues getting the van into parking spaces and that was driving into them and not trying to reverse in.
We stopped by McDonald’s to grab some wifi and a quick snack. After taking the 3 attempts necessary to get the van in.....
We set up the table on the inside and sat around playing cards for a while. We determined that we would need another type of game to keep us busy for the next little while so we put that on the shopping list for the next day...
Before we can move the van we have to shift luggage around and take down the table which isn’t too much of an issue but it does slow down our pick up and go pace.....
When we returned we noticed that one of the pieces of luggage didn’t make it back into the van when we did the last shift to get everything ready to go. We laughed about it but made a mental note that anytime we were leaving a site we should always pull away, then stop and check that we left nothing behind.
We made the beds up and did the luggage move again. With the beds in place, the luggage needs to be under the bed in the living area and in the front seats as well. We have two double beds but the bottom bed is wider so the three guys live down there and the two ladies are on the top bed.
We have come up with a sleeping schedule for the guys on the bottom so we will rotate through and no one will always be stuck in the centre position. I drew the short straw and had the first night in the middle.
Sounds like it is going to be a long 59 days! (Or they need to get an air mattress, sleeping bag and tent for the days when it isn't raining.)

LOL @
Kathryn's ds's stories...

with
Cathy... just continuing to hold you in my heart and in my prayers...
Yes. I really do need to call the insurance agent. * sigh * I don't know why I keep putting that off.
HOWEVER -- sooo happy to report I came home from council meeting, went to eat supper w/dh & ds (& dgs, while ddil napped from her dentist appt this afternoon), and then IMMEDIATELY sat down and typed the minutes and e-mailed them to church secretary. WOO HOO for me!!!
Also took time while at computer to confer via email w/former student and fellow church-goer re: a scholarship essay. She may be writing back or phoning me for clarification on that, but it's nice to feel needed.
Now... to reward myself w/good book, newspaper, Perry Mason, and
chocolate fudge pie.

Hello, everyone! Have missed a few birthdays and anniversaries here, so belated best wishes to all!
Got inspired to balance checkbook today, the same day statement arrived, after reading of lucylee and Elizabeth's recent success with that. Having just caught up with that after an 18 month lapse, I don't intend to fall behind again.

I really thought I was only a few months behind. No harm done, but if there had been a bank error, I would have missed the time frame to have it corrected.
Like some of you, I have been talking to insurance agents. Recently switched companies for home and cars. Also finally closed old bank accounts that were left behind after our last move. Fun stuff. Sent Dd a list of statements she and Ds should look for should anything happen to me and Dh at the same time. Have just been getting our ducks in a row, I guess.
Dh and I took a nice road trip to visit Ds and Ddil. Drove for 2 days, visited for 2 days, and then drove back for 2 days. We had a great time and look forward to seeing them at Christmas. They will drive here for that!
Have tried to CUOP, but have missed a lot, I'm sure. Waving goodnight to all.

Kathryn, I THOUGHT that was you, too!
I pictured you in my mind, almost like what you look like in reality.
I believe Dgrson-17's snake's a white python?
I asked DD on a letter, so we'll see.
I got sick after breakfast, s2s, dressed, napped and missed the noon news.
Slept right through 1.5 hours of it. Had a terrible upset tummy with pains, exhausted. I was able to do 2 lol with DH's help and walk 15 minutes.
I've not been walking daily or doing yoga/stretching because of some pulled stomach muscles, but they're pretty much healed and am looking forward to more movement. Tonight it's back muscle spasms, but it's normal because dr. has me weaning off the fibromyalgia med. It's nice to not feel a "drug-hangover" every a.m. and to wake up more wide awake in the a.m.
I need to figure out something. I have my A. M. and P. M. cards, but I don't have anything concrete for afternoons. In the afternoons I routinely sort the mail, try to nap 30 - 45 min., putter around, read, write, do letters, and crochet. But it's like I flow from thing to thing, which is nice, but nothing's written on a card. I think I'll leave it this way, too. It's a "freeing" feeling to not have the card, but I'm very good about my a.m. and p.m. routines/cards.
I never crocheted or wrote on a story, didn't read, mostly rested. Rest's good when you're sick, but I feel guilty I'm not getting anything done. But 2 loads laundry were a lot on a day like today. I feel much better this a.m. God a letter from DD and she has 2 more books to send me. 1 is about the haunted places in Seattle and the other is stories about ghosts in different places in WA State. It's so nice she reads a lot and sends me books.
It's 8:37 p.m. here now. I can't believe tomorrow's Thursday already. DH's b-day's on Sunday. He'll be 72. I'll be 62 in Jan. 2014. Time flies when you're having fun, they say.
But is this fun?

When it rains, it pours. Is that the correct phrase?
My cousin's FIL died today. Viewing Friday night is the one I can go to. I "think" I'll be busy in one way or another during the day on Friday and Saturday.
