Re: Sunday - some spring forward
Wasted the evening.
Made phone calls and booked a kid for tomorrow afternoon to schlep boxes for me. Yay! I'll get him to load up the car with things to donate and we'll drop those off on Tuesday. He can also return the things we've packed to the storage room. That will help clear out space and I can get to work on the next items that need sorting.
Also talked for over an hour with dd. We'll see her next weekend, going down after my service on Sunday morning and returning some time on Tuesday. Not a long visit but enough to let her know she is a priority to us.
I've only done a bit of the data entry so will spend some time finishing up one account and then head to bed leaving the rest for the morning.
Moved the Lenten thread to Members Only, BTW.

Happy Birthday Lilac!!!
And hello to everyone else! DD12 and I survived yesterday with all its activities. A friend wanted us to go to a movie, but I decided it was too late, and it was also PG13. Turned out to be a good decision as she broke out in an itchy rash later and needed Benadryl. Of course, that meant she was tired this morning, but she got up and moved anyway, and we got to church with the cake in time. I'm afraid she slept through most of the service, but I told her that God would understand. We had Chinese take out and she wanted to nap, but couldn't get to sleep. So, we played some low-key computer games then colored and watched a video. Twelve may seem like 'too old to color', but I am near 50 and still like it! She also helped me by holding kitten while I clipped claws. He was no trouble and purred the whole time. A LOL just finished drying and needs to be put away.
When I dropped of DD12 at the X's, she was unhappy because she had to do another Girl Scout cookie booth. The X gave me some cans of peas that he said came from cleaning out the camper. I get home and find out they are all expired. Gee thanks.
I have checked my emails and STILL no notice from the library, which means that someone has the Dr. Who video I have reserved. You can only check out videos for one week, they have had this one for three. Very aggravating, because I want to crochet with the Doctor. I am on the sleeves of the commission project and those are BORING. And one sleeve takes ALMOST NINE HOURS!!!
I am off to download FlyLady's cleaning list for the week. I need to prepare for guests.

Elizabeth ... You can find wonderful coloring books for teens and adults on amazon. You can also google adult coloring books. You'd be surprised what's out there. I m not good at coloring g and don't find find it relaxing, but know many who do. I think it's wonderful the two of you enjoy this activity together...
I buy adult books for my son. He is quite an artist on his own. He loves thes books cause he can use his talent without much effort. Because he is so focused and busy at work, this gives the opportunity to still remain creative and use the right side of his brain.

Cowinkie, check out the Zentangle books for him, too. Both the drawing-within-spaces ones and the color ones which are newer. Also you can look up printable Zentangle and print small items to color.
I am very tired and my throat is so sore. With much apple-cart-turnover of everyone's plans, we did entertain my dsisil this afternoon and evening, but since she is going to be staying longer now, she got a room at a hotel. HRH was worried about that, but I see her point about the difference in setting up "house" for a while rather than just asking us for a one-night bed. After all, every morning dd will have a 5:45 alarm, and the truth is the house starts bustling from then on.
Long talk with my dsecondmil, who, of course, is sad, too. In fact, many many calls, emails etc. All photos requested from us or from dsisil have been found, scanned and emailed. Other info for obit emailed. Will have a final looksee at obit tomorrow - very glad of that, and grateful to make sure of accuracy, you know. There is some disappointment and difference of opinion about service but we will all work it out. Distance between funeral home and graveside is troublesome.
Photo search pointed out to me that although we do know where our photos are, we do not have them in enough order to enjoy them easily. None are missing, no, but it's nice to have all from a certain time together, that sort of thing. Unfortunately, there is more than one way to organize photos, and we've done a little of several ways rather than being consistent. So, that's a good future project.

Re: Sunday - some spring forward
Happy Birthday, Lilac! I hope you had a lovely day and are enjoying your vacation.
Our cell phones and laptops changed their own times. I changed my clock radio last night and dh changed the kitchen clock this morning. I never changed the cuckoo clock last Nov., so now he's right on time again.
Dcousin and her dh will be on their way to Alaska via VA for the summer next week, so we had one last visit with them. She had a delicious dinner for us and after dinner had some good conversation while watching the travel channel.
Yesterday dh and I went to an annual rock and gem show. We used to belong to the local group and like to support them when they have their shows. There is a lot more finished jewelry and not so much rough stone nowadays, not like it used to be.
I've noticed, also, the last few days since there's been more sunshine hearing more songbirds singing, especially in the mornings. They know spring is coming! Our amaryllis are all blooming and our Easter lily plants have sprouted. I hope they bloom for Easter Sunday.
Tomorrow is desk day and whatever else I decide must be done. I'll just have to see what else calls to me tomorrow morning!

Happy Birthday Lilac. prayers for you on your vacation, and for the year ahead.
The 'dispute' with .... retailer continues, with their having sent all canc orders to another state - apparently. According to case worker - its not over until they find it.
I wrote on it as contract$ was not as per initial phone call.
Too much is going on here atm. I still need to take time to document that other matter.
yoga this am. I did little. lots of rest instead. or different poses. At least the blocks were there today.
poor sleep last night. Hoping for better tonight.

Just begin.
Living this day, today
Take a reality check; Remember to breathe; Do what I am able to do.
