Can't remember when I last posted. I think before the groc. store. I have:
x gone to groc. store
x gone to Micha els looking for a name stand for moms group table; one of them is broken. No luck.
x unloaded and put away groceries
x started crock pot w/ pot roast
x started breadmaker w/ honey wheat bread
x cleaned up kitchen
x kept laundry going - don't remember how many lols I've processed; have a load of darks finishing in the dryer, another waiting to go. All the rest has been folded and put away - or is drip drying
x made bed - so a.m. routine is officially done
x tidied hot spot; just GG and dd15's things are left on it
x put away tp in all 3 bathrooms
x called dfriend re: name stand for moms group; she happens to have an extra one. So, that problem is solved!
x S called and will bring asparagus tonight. I couldn't find brussel sprouts (see below if interested) so her help is welcome! I will make mashed potatoes, with help from dh (I handily forgot to buy cream so the potatoes will be less caloric. hehehe. . . I really did forget- but I'm glad I did.). I'll also cook up some sweet potatoes.

I really wanted to try a recipe for roasted brussel sprouts drizzled with balsamic vinegar; we have some fancy balsamic we got as a gift. However, my groc. store didn't have fresh brussel sprouts; they said they'd arrive tomorrow. That doesn't help me today.

Off for a jog. I can't possibly procrastinate any longer. I'll spiff the bathroom and living areas when i get back. I think friends will be arriving about 6:45.

The story didn't pan out for today. I'll work on it some other time. At least I've gotten one good one in for the June's issue. I can always work on this one another time. I'm leaning towards going back to my poetry roots now anyway, for a nice change back to what I adore and love with a passion.

It's sunny here, was supposed to rain, so the uplifting sunlight is nice and warmed the house up, too. :D

Put towels away; am washing dark clothes. Then will break from laundry for the day. Time to read, write letters, work on poems, etc...

Seems like I hadn't accomplished much today, but realized I spent spurts of time in the garage. Mainly started trying to make room for dh's things to pack. One thing led to another and I kept consolidating and moving like things with like. You know how that all happens. There's a lot of small bags, boxes, etc. of things that came home from the Sheriff's ranch with GD. Now they're all pretty much together. Think after Spring Break I'll spend a little time a lot of days and sort out some of those things -i.e. putting shoes, slippers, boots together, clothing together, drawing supplies, jewelry, toiletries, etc. all in their own little niche. THEN perhaps dd will feel like sorting through some of it. She did quite a bit before Christmas but since then has been in overload from several different fronts. I can't believe how much room there now is to move around. I even (shhhh......don't tell) took out a couple of containers of Christmas stuff that was still in the hallway to the garage.

Started making ice in our little freezer for dh to put in the cooler. We only have a small 12-cube tray. But I've already dumped one. Should have enough before Sunday to put in the cooler.

Good afternoon all. Well, it started out good, I am now in disappointment. The good start = waking up to a phone call from an actual employer! I did not get to the phone in time, so they left a message. I decided to call back in the afternoon, because I needed to get to the job fair at the library. Nothing for me there, except information on ways to work with your mortgage company in times of financial stress. I have not missed a single payment, but it would not hurt to have the payments reduced or deferred. Came home and called the potential employer, who is a staffing agency for a national lab. Interview went well, we set up an in person interview for 4:30 today. (I chose today since I am already dressed for interviews.) She sent me an application to print, fill out, and bring. With the schedule, I would have 30 minutes to do the application, then scram to the interview. Guess what! I ran out of ink!!! The good thing is that when I looked at the forms, they were all there and clear, so I started in on them. Then I get a phone call to cancel the interview - it seems that the lab wants someone with a Q clearance to start. (Most of the time they require it later, so the HR person didn't expect it immediately). PHOOEY!!! Church dinner is corned beef and cabbage, so I will just go to Bible study, which means I had better do my homework!

Here is my plan after I finish this post:
Change and put away interview clothes
DPC
Bible study homework
If time between finishing homework and Bible study (if not, deferred to tomorrow):
file for unemployment
get some Medicaid info
go to Bible study
errands: buy black printer ink, cat litter, and knee highs
balance checkbook
whatever housework I decide to do
crochet with Dr. Who

See ya later!

PS: It has been one day and dFosterCat14 has not thrown up on my bed since I put on the sheets. However, she did throw up on the floor.

Emptynester: Are the thyroid lumps expected to go away? I have had a goiter since at least 1980. The thyroid problem is well controlled, but the swelling is still there and probably always will be. Of course, it is not noticeable to the general public. However, a physician can spot it right away, and an endocrinologist from across the room.

Get well wishes to Sadie and anyone else who needs them.

Another clear, sunny day with almost no breeze.

Elizabeth, I don't know what a Q clearance is, but I'm sorry the job interview fell through.
Cathy, good wishes for your cruise.
Sadie, I'm glad you enjoyed your trip with dh and ds24. Get well wishes sent to you and ds.
Twins', hope your Temple issues are resolved quickly. Won't be too long now and you won't have that stress any longer. Hope your weather was better today.

I had my big laptop on this afternoon for a few hours. Lately, after that long it starts running very slow, loading pages, etc. So I turned it off and am on the net book. Anyway we have a desktop computer we got in 2004. I haven't had it turned on for almost a year and since it has win xp I thought I should get any updates it needed. I messed around with that for a couple of hours. There didn't seem to be any critical updates needed, but it runs very slow also. I'll try again on Friday.

Dee...I'm excited for our meeting tomorrow. My camera battery is charged and the gps is ready with the address......

May have been my last board meeting tonight! It is going to be weird - already people are speaking to the incoming president asking what he plans to do and I am able to say that I am deferring issues to him, which is lovely. :D

I worked on temple biz all afternoon and never got ddogs out. Left here around 5 to meet at 5:30 then at 6:15 with full board. Long meeting but I walked ddogs just now and ordered myself a pizza. :D I bet I sleep better tonight.

I have a busy day going tomorrow - meeting at 10 a.m. re: temple fundraiser. Then need to get dmom to doctor appt (will pick up her meals after doc appt because it's in the same area.) Then will need to refill meds, etc.

Dh gets home tomorrow evening - don't know what time.

Another call today about dsis from nursing home that she was moved to the new unit today. (I thought she had already been moved but they were awaiting permission from me?) They think she has dementia that is increasing. I can't quite figure it all out - she seemed so good last summer and has gone down so much since. Is it the nursing home? OTOH, I don't have a lot of choices for places to take her with physical and mental issues and Medicaid, especially with her undressing and exposing herself and smearing feces at times. She had also shouted at other patients and upset them. Too much OMM there.

Elizabeth: No, the lumps won't go away. The problem is that there is a 5% chance of them turning to cancer. That is why one of the options she gave me was to just have it out now. I think the odds are small enough to just watch it and/or maybe do the biopsy she also suggested.

Got lots done today. Meds set up. List made for OTC meds needed next time we go to Cost co. Two meals cooked and cleaned up after. Papers printed off for Presbytery meeting next week. I even got a couple hours of carving in today.

Late afternoon and evening were non-productive. Not a thing to report about here except tidying up the kitchen after dinner. And I only did that because dh had a friend over.

Off to bed now. Tomorrow is another day.

Sadie, I'm sorry you're ill. GET WELL SOON! :!:

MT, Good luck with the thyroid. ♥

Sunny & Dee, ENJOY your visit with each other! :D

After I cried  over my story, because I "knew" I was meant to write it, but it just wasn't coming.... DH talked me into not writing as much, I don't need to, I get S. S. now, so I went to bed, slept hard for 1 hour, got up and did what *I* wanted to do! I wrote the story! :!:  I've sent it, was very happy with it, but now, since I've sent 2 stories within the past 2 days, it's time to rest. I'll read/write poetry now, letters, read on books/magazines, crochet.... Did I mention housework? :?: I'll do that, too. At least I'm real good about the laundry and we keep dishes done and pick up after ourselves,.... unless I'm cluttering up after myself.

I can't believe tomorrow's Thursday already. I need to write DH's Friday grocery list, when he goes to the pharmacy at that store, too. No letters came today, just junk. At least it wasn't an empty mailbox, so we know the mail WAS delivered.

Dsis sealed tile at work today, her boss walked in, very impressed at how nice the office was looking there. Dsis works so hard, used to be on a cleaning crew and before that, she had her own cleaning business. So she's in the right place, whipping her employer's business into shape, among a lot of other duties, too. :D :D

Twins', Your news is GR8! Congratulations! :D

Hi everybody. Enjoyed reading...hope Sadie is feeling better by now.

Sleepy, Sleeping, Tired, I'm in that same HMS Sleeptight Often boat with Harriet. Stress does that. I hope I'm recovering and soon find my energy. You too.

Today DH had lots of errands to do, places to go. He also went to Youth Group tonight and dropped off some door casing at the church while he was there. He was out most of the day and the evening. I asked him tonight if he wasn't worn out with all that activity, but he said no, he really didn't do anything but sit at those places he went.... but I know there was a good bit of walking about and then there was the driving from place to place...

I was grateful I didn't have to accompany him today, but at the same time I felt guilty that I didn't. And I got basically nothing done except a little paperwork, meals and emptying the dishwasher and S2Pajamas tonight. I napped several times today. All I need to do is sit down and PFFT! I'm out.

However, I do feel as though I'm recovering a bit. It's about time!
