I am still working on paper taming and procrastinating on the DPC.
Good progress otherwise!
OKay, that is good suggestion. We have one at the temple so we can tell when someone approaches our office/ed building door. We also a thingie that makes a lamp bink in the rabbi's office - because he is hearing impaired he doesn't always hear the beeper.
The first loaf of challah got overbrown on the bottom. I will give it to neighbors but I think I owe them another...it's not very pretty and doesn't have a good smell!

Testing WiFi signals and lose it when I leave the office. We picked up two possible solutions on our way here.
New offer from same buyers would tie us up until the end of the month so said no but that we hope they get a sale and will be able to come back with an offer before we list with an agent.

Going to the groc. store after tutoring. I have:
x done the a.m. routine
x cleaned the bathroom well, including wiping down outside of garbage can
x washed walls and white baseboards in front entry way and adjoining hall where dogs have gotten them quite dirty. Note to self: do this more often.
x made a list of all I'd like to get done before the party
Next:
- check activities for student today; mostly he likes to practice talking, so that's not too difficult
- switch laundry
- go pick up the girls
- tutor
- groc. store
Dfriend E will be here between 6 and 7.

BOOTS FOUND!!!!!
I really have to do something about paperwork backlog. My failure to keep up with paperwork is having a increasing negative effect on every area of our personal and business life. The stack of papers next to my desk was blocking the view of boots.

Okay... your boots would have become lost in my office as well... I need Harmony and Twins to come over here and help me. I will be serving hot/cold tea... southern sweet tea with or with or without lemon can be arranged... water, soft drinks and cookies...I also have homemade truvie sugar cinnamon coated almonds for those watching their sugar intake....
My day did not go according to plans. Last night Sweetie said he wanted to go to the hardware store this morning. I needed to do a small w m run which is on the way to the his store. This morning I did my routine and told Sweetie I was ready to go anytime he was. I waited and waited. then he came in my office and said...I'm going to Home depot instead. Grrrrrrrr...there went half of my morning waiting for him when I could have done my run and been back before he left.
Now I have a terrible case of the Idontwannas...There's plenty for me to do, but I've sort of lost my mojo. Doesn't matter, I've been "doing" all week long. Just mad cause I could have done today that which I will do in the morning. I woke up a little after 4 this morning and finally got up around 5. Maybe what I need is another strong cup of coffee to get me going.
I bought an office chair last night and invited the Cowinkie's Home Improvement Center to come and assemble it. While playing with allen wrenches, screw and bolts I was thinking about Elizabeth and her independent abilities to fix what ever need to be done around the house. I'm sort of a girl like that myself, so it really ticked me off when I had to ask Sweetie to help assemble the chair. The screw wouldn't line up properly when attaching the chair arms to the chair and I thought I didn't have the strength to screw them in...that is my major number one complaint about aging. I don't car about wrinkles and i don't care about sagging skin, but I DO care about loosing my strength. I've always been the strongest woman I know, but the fact that opening a pickle jar is becoming a challenge does NOT sit well with me.
However I am some what happy toreport that even SWEETIE had a terrible time getting the chair arms attached to the chair there by convincing me I could have assembled the chairs if the person or machine who drill the screw holds had done it right in the first place.
Ok... off to make that coffe. Who cares if it 108* outside. My aunt and uncle would always drink hot black coffee at noon on a hot day on the farms. Would tell me all the time it helped to cool them down. Country people have amusing ways of entertaining themselves sometime. Gonna go see if it works... I can always jump in the pool if it doesn't

Cowinkie, I'm a big fan of iced coffee when I need an afternoon restart.
No, I'm not the one to be digging anyone out. I'm in the same paperwork boat as
OKay. Sometime last month the bank printed up a sheet of cks for dsis's account and I can't find them now. I really need to reimburse myself for paying her house insurance and can't find the cks to do so.
Body work good - I came home and napped. When I stopped to drop off the challah no one answered the door so we may end up eating it. They are a very private family and I understand the end is near.
I need to s2s and get ready for my next round of activities.

Oh Cowinkie I am laughing out loud about you and Sweetie and "the chair"!

Does that chair happen to be made in China?

Mr. Guy about went nuts earlier in the week trying to assemble our new little wine rack. It is so cute ......... but it was made in CHINA! The air was blue around here, so bad that I thought it was going to ruin my new paint job.

I have strict orders now to never buy anything made in China that he has to put together because it will never get done. Oh Well!
Is a beautiful day in Northern Nevada. We had lunch at our favorite place and then went shopping for the weekend. I had a small list, but how the heck did I come out with $66.00 worth of stuff? It gets worse all the time. Mr. Guy wanted to go for a ride in the new hot rod, but I am too busy with getting my books back in order and on the shelves to do that now. Maybe tomorrow. Speaking of tomorrow, our local horse owner Steve has been on all the news shows last night and today ahead of the big race tomorrow. Go California Chrome!! We are so hoping this is the year we have another Triple Crown winner.

FNG prep is done. Furniture moved, table & chairs set up, drinks prep, cookies baked. All I have to do now is start coffee maker and pull out cold drinks/finger foods when DFriends start arriving.
LO is climbing the walls. I just realized that I have slacked off with keeping LO busy with his summer activity cards. Starting those again! A focused and engaged LO = a happy LO. Setting timer for 15 minutes.......his next card is playing with outside toys.

Sorry, I can't be social now. .
Done:
x picked up girls
x went to tutor - student didn't show up; I realized I forgot to confirm our lesson this week after a skipped one last week. Emailed and called him. Did emails while waiting. After 30 minutes, I left.
x MIchaels for a couple things I'd forgotten about
x groc. store
x TJ, in search of San Pellegrino. They didn't have it.
x completely unloaded car
x spot wipe baseboards as I walk by and see dirt, etc.
x brought up cooler
I couldn't put clean sheets on the guest bed b/c dd16 was sound asleep on it. I finally woke her up at 5:55.
Next:
- email S and R about borrowing their cooler
- clean sheets on guest bed
- start dusting/wiping down all horizontal surfaces in living areas
