Yes, Ivy, Sadie and Willis are wonderful dogs. I love them both and they seem to really love Mr. Guy and I. Willis always climbs onto Mr. Guy's lap (and he is a huge dog) and wants some TLC. He gets it too. :lol: I have some really cute pictures of Willis climbing on both Mr. Guy and Sweetie.

Today we had lunch (for Mr. Guy's birthday) over at Walleys Hot Springs. We had never been there before. It was OK, but not something we would be running back there real soon. There are so many places in our area and I think as soon as his knee is able we will go up to Lake Tahoe to a place we have been hearing about. It is a locals place and gets good reviews.

Giants are back home after a not so great road trip. We have a new guy that is so impressive - Joe Panic - 2nd baseman and we are excited to see him in front of the hometown fans. Go Giants! Go Panic! Mr. Guy and I have come up with a new Giants shirt - "Do not Panic - Joe is Here!" :roll:

Ivy, thanks for sharing about your dog. We had to tell another disappointed friend just the other day that Sammie is gone, so I know how it feels to have people ask about your dog and have to tell them. I will agree with you that still having a cat somehow does help. We have no illusions about the differences in how cats and dogs relate to their people, but we know Tobias considers us family (smile).

With dd away at her friend's, HRH and I went out to the burger joint that is sort of '50s in it's atmosphere - at least I think so. Everything was great except the food was disappointing. :? So even though I had fun, I know HRH will not want to bother with the place again.

While a second load of laundry spun, I exercised tonight. I found out I need to go amend my report in yesterday's H and F because I greatly underestimated how much time this new workout takes. :shock: Wonder if I would be doing it if I'd known in advance how long it is! :lol: What's funny is that just because I read online from another person (another exerciser) that it was a certain length, I believed it, even though I was doing it myself and should have known (felt?) she had timed it wrong. :roll:

Norma, what a great name the ballplayer has! LOL so easy to chant for him, I'm sure. I like the shirt!

One TaDa I didn't mention here yet was taking dd out to the high school parking lot, where she parked and drove and parked and drove and parked and drove. :)

Ivy, one more thought - if you are having tummy issues that are badly affected by coffee, also turn a suspicious eye on that yogurt. If it is the acidity of the coffee, the yogurt could also cause troubles because many are highly acidic. Dr. Jamie Kaufman says some people have a real problem with the acidity of yogurt and some do not. You just have to have trial and error. Kaufman did a study of the PH of yogurt (you would want it to be higher number) and posted results here with a list of 10 possibilities that are not too acidic. I went off yogurt for a while and felt so much better (complete surprise to me), but when I do have yogurt sparingly now, I have one from this list and can usually get away with it.

Happy birthday to Mr. Guy!!! :D :D :D (I know I'm kinda late to the party, but it's been a hectic day around here. I apologize!)

Hope things are okay with Sadie & her ds...

:D @ LO and his swimming lessons... I'll be so glad when dgs can take swimming lessons... one more worry to cross off the list -- you know, drownings, gun shot accidents, abductions, being forgotten in hot car all day... * whew * There really are a lot of things to worry about with little kids. (I'm not obsessing about this stuff, really, just crosses my mind when I read the paper/etc.)

BTW -- are y'all seeing the news about the child in Georgia who was left in the hot car all day & died? So tragic... and now they are saying it might not have actually been an accident? The father has been charged with felony murder, I believe, according to report from dfriend in the area.

(((Hugs))) (((VERY GENTLE hugs))) for Harmony... I certainly can relate to sunburn woes. I am very fair skinned.

I understand what you're saying about your dMolly, Ivy... we are the same way about Pluto, (German shepherd/Lab mix -- we think!) who we lost almost 10 years ago. We got him when ds was about 5 years old and he died while ds was in college. Just never had the heart to replace him.

Hope your ankle feels better soon, Ivy! And likewise for you, Kathryn!

Hmmm... orange and blue look GREAT on football fields... (much better than crimson and white, btw... just sayin' ;) Some of y'all will get that... LOL...) But no... I have pretty much nothing orange in my house, either, Ivy.

WTG to Harriet's dd! Beginning driving is really nerve-wracking sometimes.

Today, I walked 3 miles w/ds (and dgs in walker) and then dh & I went to Wmart. After we put the groceries away, we went to the mall, ate at Chick-fil-a, finished getting dgs's birthday presents, and saw Jersey Boys. We loved it. It's not getting rave reviews, but we both really liked it. It's not exactly dh's style music, but I've always loved Frankie Valli -- dparents were fans, I guess. They saw him (with the Four Seasons) once in concert, while I was away at church camp as a teen. I was pretty aggravated that I didn't get to go with them.

Tomorrow dh is golfing and I think I'm going to have dgs most all day... and then Wed., dh & ds are going to a baseball game and I'm going to have dgs most all day... but that's okay. I'm not on track with my cards at all... but they'll still be there when dgs is too busy for me, right?

I've been drinking International coffee, I don't eat fruited yogurts, & am eating Chobani Greek Vanilla Yogurt & strained Greek plain yogurt from Costco. They seem to coat my stomach so I feel better, after I've had them. I won't use fruited yogurt b/c of acidity.

It sounds like a lot of us have or have had wonderful dogs. :D

Dgs helped me change my Avatar back to one I liked awhile back. I got tired of the kitty one.

Dgs & DH are watching the Mariners game, then flip over to the Ninja Warrior competition.

Dgs, DH & DH's buddy-neighbor will stack firewood here, in the morning, giving us nearly 6 cords. We need 9 to cover us from fall through early spring. We're getting closer & closer all the time. :) :)

I set my dawn simulator, will get clothes out soon, & shower before bedtime. I've been working on snail mail.

Dgs & DH go to Costco & a few other stores on Thursday. :) :) Our cheap gift cuckoo clock fell & now it has a funny grinding sound all the time. DH wants to go to World Market to buy a nice one. I can't seem to spell the name of the clock right & spellchecker isn't giving me any of the correct choices either. :roll: OH! I finally remembered how to spell it. That's odd. A writer who can't spell? :lol:
