Ahhhh, Lady Maverick, seems so strange to have you back under that handle and Cowinkie as Ramblinrose! I'm afraid I don't remember that handle -have to train myself anew.
Now I can type "okay" instead of "ok" and be ok with it.

Re: Sunday Styles
Good Afternoon! I just logged in like usual and got right here. I bet my avatar is gone. Darn! I will have to find a new Peregrine Falcon I like.
Mr. Guy is doing pretty well - after the paramedics came and got him off the floor at 3:00 a.m. He had gone into the bathroom and coming back out he went backward on his rear. There was no way to get him up except "call the guys". They came and got him back into bed. Nice guys. I hope that doesn't happen again.
Our SF Giants are doing terrible. I told Mr. Guy NOT TODAY FOR THOSE LOUSEY GIANTS but I see he has them on .
Nice rest of the day everyone.

Dee!
You're too funny!
I liked that, about okay & ok.
Norma, I'm so glad you made it here, too!
Sorry Mr. Guy needed to have you "call the guys". I hope he gets to feeling better & that the SF Giants "might" win for him today!
Lady Maverick reminds me of Annie Oakley or some other Western woman rider that's macho & a Tom Boy!
I love it though.
Ramblin' Rose reminds me of some beautiful trailing roses on a trellis in the Southern States.
I like that one, too.
I finally s2s, put on my July 4th tee from about 11 years ago, or more, & it FITS!
It felt good to shower.
I stripped the place mats & tablecloth off the table, shook the place mat crumbs over the sink & put on a red, green, & white striped tablecloth because another grandson comes the 5th. Didn't think he'd like flowers. This one's in Christmas colors, but such a pretty bright tablecloth I dearly love. I have matching green woven vinyl place mats on it, too, so it's really pretty to me. Also, there is a motive: If I've got my Christmas tablecloth on, maybe I'll go faster crocheting the Grannies for dgd's afghan.
Truly, this tablecloth looks summery, to me.
I love that.
I can't get my calendar to work, so printed up the week's worth of reminders, trimmed the blank part of the page off, then stapled them together for my clipboard, to go by. Just watch. One of these days 100 calendar reminders will hit my Inbox & I'll be pulling my hair out by the roots!
It's okay to have a glitch in the system once in awhile. I should get my SHE-index card folder out again, too, to go by again this week. I looked at it a few times last week. HONEST! I actually DID & I'm proud!
I've had lunch, am off to do laundry now. BBFN! Have a great afternoon, Everyone!

(((Norma & Mr Guy)))) Glad the paramedics were there to help
Ivy - which calendar system do you use?

I used the LadyMaverick handle for years on the CB radio before I came to the SHE board in 97. It feels good to "be myself" again.
Next up -
** MPB daily CFO cards
** log incoming papers
** Add character study to calendar

Kathry .... No I can't "see" the members only stuff.
Ivy... Ramblinrose is the name of a song that Nat King Cole sang. When I was young my dad would take me to a tavern on Sundays with his friends and their kids. The neighborhood bar was served pizza among others things and had a shuffle board. It was a miniature one where you used your hands to slide a puck down a sawdust covered board. The place also had a jute box. When the song Ramblinrose was played my dad would dance with me.
We had a very difficult relationship for our entire lives. There were many reasons why but alcohol played a large part with it. The song is a reminder that for a few moments in time I had the daddy all little girls dream of. Strangely later in life my first "real" boyfriend nicknamed me Ramblinrose so I figured that name was meant for me.
When I signed into the P&P site long ago I was new to computers and didn't understand you could give yourself a name. Thought the handle had to be part of my email which is cowinkiedinks a name from my son so that's how Cowinkie came about. But in my heart and mind I've always been Ramblinrose and like Lady Maverick I'm really happy to have it back

Re: Sunday Styles
When I first met you on the boards, you were LadyM.
Glad Mr. Guy is OK, Norma.
I agree, it is nice to see a lot of names here that I haven't seen for a long time.
Today has been church, a quick lunch at a local sub place (I had a salad), and then home around 12:40 which is unusually early for us. Dd16 had an oboe trio rehearsal at 1, which dh took her to, recognizing my need for quiet time at home. I relaxed - did a sudoku, followed the Netherlands world cup game a bit online. At some point late in the game, I assumed they'd lost. I was quite surprised when i came back to check on my laptop and saw that not only had they caught up w/ Mexico - they had won!
I called ds and chatted with him. He is doing well. I passed the phone to dh, but he lost the call and is now on his own phone with a work-related call.
He says he will call ds back. I forgot to check w/ ds re: which day I show up to bring him home. I need to buy my plane ticket soon. His last day of work is the Friday before dd16's band camp's Sunday concert at Interlochen, which I traditionally go up to see. I may skip dd16's concert this year and fly up to fetch ds that Friday instead. Not sure.
I'm going to call my parents now - and then we'll need to start thinking about dinner.
---This sat here for a while. Dh and I are flying ds home for the 4th b/c he has a 4 day weekend - and all his roommates are going home. I'm not too keen on him being in an apt. by himself. Maybe I'm being over protective? He's pitching in with the cost.

For what its worth...
I think I figured out part of my phone problem. I can only access this site through my email link.
If I enter the new addy.org on my search engine...either Bing or Google...I get the old site.net
So if you have an iphone like I do, the only way to get to this village is through your email link.
Hope this helps some of you....

Re: Sunday Styles
Ramblinrose - I think this name fits you perfectly!
My last set of Next UP items are done.
Bernice - it is good to see you here!
It is doubtful this calendar information would be useful to anyone, but posting just in case..... I use Google calendar as my primary calendar. I needed to add some calendar items that reoccur every 100 days. That isn't possible in google calendar (it only goes up to 30 days). My solution ….. I sync'd google calendar with Outlook calendar then added the 100 day reoccurring events using Outlook. The events sync into google calendar retaining the 100 day reoccurence with no issues. Problem solved!
Next up -
** Serve/eat dinner - roast, green salad with fresh garden tomatoes & peppers.
** LOL twirling
** LO sight words
