Sunday Styles
Good morning, villagers ~
I've been checking out all the new styles that Kathryn loaded on the site for us. Lots of fun ones. I wouldn't mind changing mine often for different backgrounds depending on mood. However, it looks like the various commands move around to different positions on the page. That's good to know. If you are asking where to find certain things like "User Control Panel" you may need to tell the Mods which style you are using.
Ahh, I can hear that the coffee is finished brewing. BRB.

Re: Sunday Styles
Booksaver: this was my exact title for today!
I've got a bit of style in my outfit for church too. Canada Day is on Tuesday so I have a white skirt, red maple leaf t-shirt and white earrings to echo the flag.
I've settled on Social Phobia for my style. When I picked it to load, I thought of Lucylee (based on the name!) even though I had already loaded Tara for her. But it is the closest to the glossy purple I had before.
Dh is counting the fly fishemen in the river off the island in front of us. Makes me think of Flylady!
Off to church now. We finally practiced the anthem this morning. Just too busy before then.

For some reason when I registered, it would not let me use my old handle. I finally put a space between Dee and Clutter. I also can't see the administrative panel, Kathryn -is there something else I need to do?
I had rough night and ended up having to go to the laundry room at 6am. Took 2 rounds (again) for my clothes to dry. Will send an email to the camp office today to let them know the dryer is really unsatisfactory! Think this day is not starting out very well.
Since I'm under the weather we won't be going to church today. Dh finally walked up with dd's dBailey to see why I was up so early doing laundry. Would hate to say!!!

Re: Sunday Styles
I had to disappear suddenly last night because we had a big storm blow in suddenly. I heard it raining for some time and thought, "That's a pleasant sound, we need rain." Then suddenly there was a huge crash of thunder so I turned off the computer and got up to get a flashlight in case the electricity went out. The power stayed on, but the storm lasted a long time so I finally gave up on being able to turn on the computer again.
The weather forecast says we'll be getting more storms throughout today. Looks like I'll be forced to do some non-computer chores today, which is not a bad thing.
I am currently trying out "Style 59" as my background.
I had to look up how to change the font size on the various styles. Some of them have the little A at the top of the screen with up & down arrows for changing the size. That's handy. For the ones where I couldn't find the A, I had to go to the Firefox help site for a general command.
Dee ~ I didn't have to re-register for this site, I just had to login. For some reason, it didn't recognize my old password, so I clicked on "forgot my password" and a new one came in an Email. Then once I logged in with the gobbledygook password, I could change it under my Profile to something I would remember.
I'm guessing your Admin status is tied to your original name. Try the login options to see if you can get it back.

Yes Dee, not just Admin status but all previous posts are for DeeClutter, so doing the "forgot password" thing, and just reclaiming your own password later like BookSaver did would be better. I hope you feel better!
Nancy, I always liked your pretty picture/avatar with your long hair.
I guess there are sites for avatars that would work here.
Whoever wants your avatar back and doesn't find it on your own computer right away, remember to just ask and we'll see if we can "retrieve" it for you.
Any photos that you have readily available and want to post back into their threads, please know that they are SO 100 percent welcome, yet no hurry to do that. If there's one you posted that you're not finding readily, and wish we could retrieve for you, ask and we'll try to retrieve and send it to you.

Hello, I have not posted here in a very long time, but I am Pandora from the old Pam & Peggy SHE boards. I just wanted to say Thank You to Kathryn-in-Canada for having this site and thank you for the notice of the address change. I usually post at the SHEForums, but like to know there is a place to land should they shut down.

Re: Sunday Styles
I made it over here on my iPhone and iPad yesterday, but just logged in on my computer this morning. Dee, yes, all I had to do was to log back in under my old name and password. I may look around for a new avatar - we'll see....
We had a very nice time yesterday with dkids. Both got eyes checked, dd ordered new glasses and ds is holding off for now. We went on to one of our favorite restaurants for dinner together - the owner/manager is a very dfriend so we all got to visit with him.
Is the "View active Posts" not working right for anyone else? I have usually used it to see what's active and respond to the threads that I tend to follow. It's pulling up old posts and Kathryn's announcement only?
We're going to market and then getting dd to bus back to K-town today. Kids are sniping at each other this morning.

Re: Sunday Styles
It's so nice to "see" so many new-to-me old members returning nowadays.
The Style I "was" using was GFTMusic Style, but it was too busy & bright!
Yes, it was fun for a night, but this a.m. it was driving me absolutely NUTS!
So, I've gone back & picked "Spring Element," I love ♥ it, it's stylish, professional-looking, not busy, & it's just relaxing to me. light grey with forest green letters, with threat titles & SHEs Organized at the top of the page, too. It sort of ties in with my new signature I got from a greeting card quoted on a card sent to me by my Dcousin-in-law in CO.
I got up just before 6:25 a.m. without my dawn simulator. Had QT, watched "CBS Sunday Morning," which is a lovely show. Now the morning local news is on from Seattle, so we're up, but not s2s yet. We're a bit tired from boxing matches up until midnight last night. Since I sipped peach herbal tea after breakfast, I feel drowsy & like I could use a little snooze.
Happy Sunday, Everyone & I hope ya'll find your styles, too!

Re: Sunday Styles
Ok, now it let me log in with my old handle & password. I'll see if my name comes up in a red dress now. Kept telling me it had sent a new password to my email but I never did get that. I'll go in shortly and try to reload my avatar. Thanks for sending it to me! Can't believe how fast this all got moved over. You are fabulous, Kathryn (and Ken and dd!)
Aha! there it is -my avatar that is! So happy when I can 'get' something! There I am, "swimming along".
I at least have the bottom sheet back on our bed. That, alone, is a huge task (at least for me). Will finish making it as I feel better/stronger. Don't even know what to think about for a meal. Dh just asked about cooking hamburgers and/or hot dogs. Since I have no hot dogs, think it will be burgers. Bought some Angus burgers from Sam's last week. They are really good and I'm not a 'burger person'.

Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!
