helia, what a blessing that your dmother has had good news about her improvement - I know that must have been scary.

helia, it is possible the lady is just nuts. Did you ever hear whether her daughter actually felt the same way, as mother claims? Have you thought about decorating the bush for Halloween? (further comment deleted for non-ladylike suggestion)

blessed - at least this is a relatively flat object with more storage possibilities than others. If you like it so much that you would say you like it more than a painting your mother painted, it may be you've taken it to heart. As HRH says, "Looks like we took it to raise."

Nancy, are you relieved by the decision to fly the most recent patient to Emory? I hate it for the Dallas hospital - I think but for the grace of God there goes every hospital in the world except the very few - not their fault - but Emory may be a wise call.

Whoops more to say but time for school run.

For what it's worth, Helia: I had a heart attack 20 years ago and subsequently had quintuple by-pass. They tried for 7, but couldn't do the last 2, BUT they had already started to do their own by-pass. Never knew our veins could do that -smarter than we think. I, thanks be to God, have been fine since. And for whomever inquired, today's Dr. visit went by with flying colors. My numbers from lab tests were all very good. My BP was a bit high (the upper #) but she took it again and it had come down 20 points -so she was happy. Sure I'm still feeling some effects of not taking my meds yesterday morning. Who knew they could have such an affect! I would have been pretty  had dh taken me to urgent care!

Oops, time to get my laundry out of the dryer twin. A few odds & ends and our sheets. Dh will help me remake the bed. Then it's up to him after tomorrow. At least my side will stay made.

Home again....went to JCC for meals, then dmom's for visit, gassed up the car, stopped at hardware store for light bulbs and then grocery store for a walk through for things I could remember. Talked to dog sitter on the phone - she is a dfriend of dd's and is a dorm college student w/o a car - we will get my Honda Pilot to her in the morning for her use. Remembered that temple was closed today so wouldn't be cks there to sign - need to let secretary know that she should get prez to sign tomorrow.

House is in decent shape but I forgot to talk to dog sitter about dcleaning lady so I need to text her. Picked up a few things at store that she would appreciate, I hope.

Dh has a dinner meeting so I'm going to see how much farther I can get with the financial info for temple. Setting a timer for 25 minutes....

Hi everyone! I am hoping this is a post and run. The X is coming real soon for the heater. I stayed up way too late last night. Not being productive, but playing computer Scrabble! I did accomplish the library book retrieve and return, found my missing grocery list and bought the items I forgot last night, and attempted a DPC (left voice mail again). I was expecting to have two new foster cats today, but apparently they know something is up. They have a routine where the meet the person who found them when she gets home. Nope, not today. Then, they like to greet the students she teaches in her home. She has not called me, so I assume they haven't appeared.

I had to send a revision to the addendum to the resume, done and over with! There is an autism society support group meeting in Nov. that I may go to. However, the only way they gave to RSVP is by text message. I do not have and do not want text messaging on my phone! Not at 20 cents for each send and receive! So I have figured out how to do it via email. I am going to send a message to the organizer that not everyone has text capability. I have not decided whether to go or not.

Taking second break and nearly done, at least with this task. Then I'll need to walk the ddogs and finally have some down time. Dog sitter will let the cleaning lady in on Friday a.m. but I'll have cleaning lady skip the upstairs so dog sitter gal can sleep in more or relax if she wants.

Did get some things accomplished. Got a big load of groceries, got a set of plans picked up at an office, got the groceries put away, straightened out a whole bunch of papers and one file redone. Got some answers to a bunch of questions from DH while he was rushing to eat dinner before church.

Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow. Wanting to go to bed now. I guess I'll go clean up the kitchen first.

Thanks Dee. That is encouraging to hear! And I'm glad your heart has been fine since then. That's amazing about your veins. Glad for the good appt. today. A friend told me how her father had a heart attack, had stents put in - and now has a heart like an 18 year old.

Dinner is done. Dd16's friend ate with us tonight. Dh has a group dinner tonight which he'd forgotten about -- b/c his admin is so awesome, she takes care of everything without input from him, he says. They are celebrating a student's passing his doctoral defense.

I'm going to work on grading. Then, the girls need to help me clean up.
