I am really not feeling up to par today. I've had a very slight sore throat and bronchial cough for a couple of days, but it may be allergy, not illness. And my head hurts. We had torrential rain earlier - flooding and schools cancelling afternoon/evening activities - and I was out in some of the worst of it. I picked up fav dcousin to go visit dmom and we were on freeway with rain coming down, traffic slowed, emergency blinkers on, people pulling over. Eventually visited dmom, and then got her back home, still in the rain albeit not as heavy as earlier. Since getting back home around 3 I have just been collapsed.

I should do some things. I didn't have that much time this morning - was getting dcousin around 11 (ran late also) but didn't get to all of a.m. routine. Tomorrow I need to work on temple accounting for meeting on Sunday, dcleaning lady is coming and hopefully dishwasher repair person late afternoon.

Trying to work out schedule for next week; I need to visit dsis and dcousin may want to go with me. It would be nice to have her along for the trip. Her dsister died a couple of years ago with many parallels to my sister, altho her sister was over medicated and addicted.

-start a lol
-finish washing up dishes from non-functioning dishwasher
-make the bed
-feed the dogs
-get rid of 10 pieces of paper on the desk

Mr Crankypants (prompted by a text from his lovely dd) has an evening meeting that he has shown as scheduled until 9:30. It takes the place of a board retreat that this bd hadn't been able to get scheduled. I've really been sleeping poorly (ddogs not helping, but I've felt restless and coughing) so I may be in bed by the time he gets home.

Dh picked up a cooked chicken and french bread while I cooked up veggies and we ate at home. Watched the second last episode of House of Cards. I declare, we'll be the last people to watch it for the first time, we are going through it so slowly! We love it but we don't binge watch tv.

I mailed the letter I prepared and we got the garbage and recycle thrown out! Yay, more things out of the apartment!

Dishes are done up and the dishwasher just finished. Dh is reading until his regression test finishes, then he'll deliver and go to bed.

I'm trying to decide if I have enough concentration left to get Sunday's service outline done. Dh is away all tomorrow so I'll write the sermon then. Not that I have a clue what I'll write about at this point. So I need to do exegesis as well.

Dee, our audit was for our Workers' Comp company. We itemize into different categories all our payroll, which is no easy task. All year I must keep track of every job the guys do...by categories... I have to do a General Liability audit also with the same information... man, today was stressful.

The mess on the table was bothering me so I did go tackle some of it. A couple hours' work. I found the missing set of papers I couldn't find when the auditor was here... and got the ones fixed that were stapled together incorrectly. There is still much to do there.

Dinner and dishes done. I'm sure glad I didn't have to cook tonight, just heat up leftovers.

I hope everyone feels better tomorrow. Twins, send some of that rain down here, we need it badly.

The walk to and from work was very nice. I was running late and almost drove there after all, but then I thought no I already said on PWYC that I was going to walk so I had to do it. :)

I feel better for taking the extra steps. It also let me notice more details walking past the construction site than I've been able to see driving by it.

Tomorrow is errand day. I need to make a grocery list.

Dd16's prom dress is here. Custom-made fit and length (saving so many headaches) turned out great, although the bust will take some thinking since the dress has a minimally cut-out back. So dd and I will learn together about backless bras. I just ordered the one with the highest reviews on Amazon. I guess that's not rocket science.

She really looks beautiful in the dress. HRH was very complimentary to her, but privately disappointed to me that she looks so grown up.

HRH says, "You need a couple more buttons in the back, there. They didn't finish that up." :D

WTG, Booksaver! Glad you decided to walk and enjoyed it.
LOL at the "more buttons" remark.
