I'm bringing up the end of the day. Only time I've had to sit down.
Last night DH called me in the middle of the night. Wanted to know where the Pepto was and I had no clue because it's been eons since anyone drank any of that stuff. I get sick just seeing the pink bottle. Naturally we had none around so we tried a couple alka sel tabs which seemed to work a bit... remember the plop plop fizz fizz ads years ago?
But it was a bit nerve wracking because DH was sitting with an upset tummy and pains all through...which always makes us think, Just what is this, do we need to go to hospital or just wait it out? So I was awake a very long time until he went asleep in his chair and when he finally got up said he was feeling better so I went back to bed. By then I'd lost a couple hours' sleep at least. I think it was his diet that day...
So he went off to church later but I went back to sleep and slept soundly for a while, made up those hours.
While he took a nap I went out and raked and raked. Big pile from behind the fence at the side and that area is cleared out now. Worked on the side yard which has big piles of leaves and no way to get them out and put where?
Finally DH came out and we worked on posts and got 2 more set and adjusted their height to make the fence straight when we get the rest put up. We took down the panels to the master bathroom door. I just could not walk around the house to get in the front every time we needed something from inside any more. I came in for a bit and noticed DH was out raking and I went out and he was moving our leaf piles to the piles of debris across the street (empty lot) and I helped him and we got the whole side yard cleared of all that.
Gathered all the everyday garbage for pickup tomorrow. Helper is coming to work on the roof but I will be gone to the dr. (usual 6 mth visit) at a different place - I guess they are damaged where she usually is. I hope I can find her new place. I must run out first to get something to give helper for lunch if he's still here. It will be a busy morning. Making a shopping list to stop on the way home.
Took apart the refrigerator and cleaned good. When we lost electric I put some meat pkgs into the refrig. because I knew it would defrost anyway and I planned to cook it. But it drained all over the place because I hadn't put it in plastic...so what a mess! All clean now but that was a job I didn't need. I did manage to cook us a dinner tonight. I wish I had time to float around in a pool like RRose. Just too much to do around here. I hope it eases up soon. I need to do laundry too, that's piling up.
