Day is almost over. I might spend an hour on my Bullet Journal migration to the next notebook.

Music practice went way better doing it at 1 instead of 8p.m. I'm not feeling confident about Thursday's concert.

Dh then went out for a walk and was gone well over an hour.

I got the vacuuming finished, the floors damp mopped, ate lunch/snack, chatted with the grands for a few minutes, downloaded all the reading for tonight's meeting, changed and then dh and I headed out for dinner and then the visitation. The planned restaurant was packed at 5:10. We were offered a table between two other full tables just a couple feet away. My tummy sunk and I apologized and said, "I just can't."

Dh remembered the restaurant in the next village and we were one of 4 tables occupied in a restaurant 2x the size of the first place. We were late for our plans but service was fast and friendly. I was completely comfortable there (unlike at the other place.) We picked badly off the menu but that's no-one's fault but our own and we know for next time. Our appetizer and sides were great.

I read all the docs for the meeting while waiting for the food. We did the visitation and left, 15 minute later than I had hoped so I made it to my meeting 15 minutes late but it was online so I at least made it.

It went well but I have 5 action items from it.

I just started a load of laundry.

The bedroom still smells like a dirty ashtray. If I had to bet, I think something happened in the fan exhaust system causing the alarm because it is the bathrooms that smell the worst. Unfortunately, something has happened to dh's fan duct and it is making a bad noise so we can't run his fan. Mine's fine but I keep turning the light (hence the fan) off when I leave the bathroom. It is automatic.

Tomorrow I have grocery shopping. Not sure if dd will want to do something or not. And she wants to do apple picking this week or weekend as well.

Good evening!

Happy anniversary to lucylee and DH!

So good to have Kathryn posting again! Also tickled that Elizabeth gave us the lowdown on what’s been up with her.

Not much in the way of ta-das today. Did the usual drives to take DC to school and bring them home. Picked up Thai for dinner on the way home. Chose menus for the next week or so and started working on a grocery list. Watched my poor Guardians get beat up by the Yankees. Ah, well. Given that at the beginning of the season, I thought they’d do well to make it to .500, I have to be happy. Now to root for DBIL’s Phillies. :)

We had a mouse or vole in the basement last night. It was very small — about half the size of a normal field mouse — but far too furry to be a baby. Got DC, who has a tender heart for all wildlife, to gather it up into a box (there was no need to catch it; it was curled up on a rug and barely moving — when I first saw it, I thought it was a ball of lint) and take it outside. The weather was miserable outside, but they put the creature by the wood pile, which provided some shelter. Part of me felt bad for the little thing. Part of me thought it would make a tasty morsel for the tuxedo cat that’s been roaming around, which DC has also been quite taken with. I did not say this to DC.

Got flu and Covid shots yesterday. DH just had the flu shot (he’d already gotten a Covid booster at school); it seems to have knocked him back. Both the offspring are also slightly under the weather. Everyone has gone to bed early, and I might do so as well.

Sweet dreams to all of you (and a good morning to Lynlee, wherever she may be)!
