(((Cathy)))) You deserve an award for pushing through difficult moments and getting necessary things done. You are doing things to take care of your home and loved ones. I hope you remember to take care of yourself too. I agree with utilizing ANYthing that can make daily life easier is a great idea.
(((Harriet, family and friends))) Such devastation from effects of hurricane Helene. My heart goes out to all involved.
It is day #9 after periodontal surgery and I was finally able to eat semi-normal food. I probably should not have used that side of my mouth yet but it happened without realizing it. Good news - it was wonderful to have full use of my mouth again. Bad news - I had to take pain meds after chewing.
Next up -
** Get DD13 prepping for tomorrow. Backpack checked. Hair washed. shower
** DS16 and friend have decided to take the motor apart. >>>>insert exasperated eye rolling<<<<< DS16 borrowed my white folding table to put all the motor parts on as they took things apart. I seriously doubt if I will ever see that table white again. On the positive side.....he is learning. He is staying out of trouble. He is SO EXCITED and passionate about what he is doing. Soooooo....it appears white tables are overrated. Sometimes a greasy table could be a good thing. That's my story and i'm sticking with it.
** I need to gear up and get homeschool lessons planned and on schedule for this week.

Stay curious. Challenge assumptions. Success loves persistence.

Re: Sunday around the Village PWYC
Hi everyone! I am trying to keep my promise to myself not to forget my village friends. I don't think I did a full CUOP, but I did scan the week. It is easier to keep up if I read every day. Perhaps in 10 years when (if) I retire. Big accomplishment for the day = Halloween invitations sent! There are a few that will have to be hand delivered and caught up later, but I will simply carry invitations in my purse and anyone I see can have one. (Anyone going to be in the Albuquerque area on 10/26? PM me and you can join us.)
We had a work day at church before the service and I was in charge of hospitality, translation - I bought and brought breakfast and lunch. I will be remembered as the first person who ever thought to stock the coffee and drinks cart and DELIVER it. I would call out COFFEE PATROL and was instantly popular. Reminded me of when I was the Beer Girl at my parents' parties. Yes, they had their 5 year old deliver alcohol and keep the candles lit.
Laundry is running, exercise is complete. Still need to practice guitar, several run throughs. I think I will do it now, then after I eat something, then after I get everything set up for tomorrow. I thought I had a dentist appointment, but it is next week. I will feed the cats before guitar or they will pester me. You cannot substitute a Luna mute for a palm mute, too unpredictable.
