I have (kinda) gotten my act together, at least a little bit, today.
I had the dgrands till around 1:00 pm; then they wanted to go eat at a pizza place in Next Town, so we called ds and he agreed to go with us.
I had already started a load of towels and underwear in the washer. After we got back from eating, I left them all at home and came home, continued with laundry AND vacuumed the kitchen and hardwood in main area of the house. (I still need to do the rugs.)
I have also gotten dbil's extra ticket, listed all these tickets online for Saturday's game, contacted dfriend who thought she might need one (but now doesn't) and returned dgd's backpack to their house.
Talked to dmom earlier.
Talked to ddil a little while away.
Much text interruptions from Sunday School class as we go through who's bringing what for family meal following a funeral Wednesday. (This makes the TENTH church member we have lost since Nov. 1 of last year. Three of these people never came, and a fourth was homebound, but still -- this certainly seems like a lot. This most recent loss is a lady the same age as my dmom. I taught both her sons in school. I will be late for the funeral because I'll have GriefShare Wed. morning, and this will be the last week. The lady whose funeral is Wed. was a sister-in-law to the homebound lady. Their family has been hit hard. Of three siblings and their spouses, only one brother now remains. There are several children and grandchildren.)
Blessed, this is fascinating about the letter! I hope you get it translated.
I had to LOL at dd13, LadyM. I need to force myself to move for 5 things. I actually did today, but some days... y'all know how I am...
(((Twins))) We'll be cheering you on as you go through this prep. I can't imagine drinking that stuff. The only time I had a colonoscopy, I asked for pills.
They gave them to me, but they were HUGE and I had to take about a million of them!
I am afraid my dmom is about to need more time and attention from me. She told me this weekend (again) that she was just going to have to start buying groceries with me, so she could ride the scooter and I could do reaching and lifting. Her back is really giving her fits, along with her feet, which are a constant problem. She has another appointment with the pain clinic next week, and she hopes they will authorize home health to send a physical therapist. This whole thought just kinda scares me -- I am not ready to become her caregiver! Trying not to let my mind go to the "what if's" and take ds' approach to life. Nothing bad is happening today... no need to think about what might happen tomorrow or next week or next month.
I'm so sorry if I have left out people I needed to reply to -- you are ALL so important to me!!! I am sooo glad we're back "HOME"!!!
