I'm still taking joy in the board being open for us, and that we're together.
Some comments from yesterday:
Lucylee:
never taking for granted the joy of having this circle of friends to come to for support, advice, reassurance, and just something “normal” when things are spinning out of control.

What a joy to come here and read CI's. I don't want to ever take that pleasure for granted.

Hi! Great quotes. Thanks for opening the village this morning Twins' Mom!
So far today I have taken out garbage from the bathroom and kitchen, emptied/deep cleaned the litter box and taken out the compost. I also emptied the dryer. I did manage to get both of dh's blankets washed last night. I also re-washed the fitted bedsheet after shaking it many times AND going around the entire edge inside and out with some sticky tape to get all the bits that were along the edge. By the time I got it back on the bed, it had very few bits of white stuff on it. Too bad it was is such a dark red sheet. (If the sheet had been white, I doubt I would have seen all those bits.)
Dh has requested rigatoni with meat sauce for supper.
No knitting this morning, as the library won't open until noon because it is Remembrance Day here, with ceremonies starting at 10:30 with 2 minutes of silence at 11 a.m. There is knitting this afternoon.
As usual, dishes are waiting for me in the kitchen.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.
I had a normal start to my day except for not doing school things. I woke up before the alarm, showered and was out the door to do the morning mile walk before I went to open the kitchen. I do look forward to that cup of coffee reward.
Today DS16 is returning to work on ranch for his boss that fractured 5 vertebrae. DS16 just called to let me know how nice it is to be back there. He enjoys the peaceful and calmness of working in the country with wide open spaces. Last week DS16 worked in the city for construction crew that is doing house renovation. That boss has known DS16 all his life and is high quality person. The variety of knowledge & experience that DS16 is receiving from working especially since he is under the mentorship of multiple successful bosses is a good thing IMHO. I don't know what DS16 will decide to do with his life, but I can't see anyway these experiences won't be a help.

Mornin' village and Happy Veterans Day, Remembrance Day.
I think I got a good sleep last night, important because tomorrow night will be less certain.
We had an order of groceries delivered today, including some clear drinks I never buy like apple juice, but which are suggested to have on hand as I fast some of the hours tomorrow. HRH bought enough gator ade for a party. Sigh. He got all that in and put away, because - of course - within the 4-hour delivery window, it came at the very moment I had my breakfast on the stove. I was warned that schedules might change, and I wouldn't have so late a day after all, so if suddenly I don't have to fast at all, I will need to call the kids and give all this away.
HRH managed to get an incredibly stubborn map printed out for his drive and parking access tomorrow. Honestly, I don't know how people without a good working knowledge of computers are expected to do these things. And this is from a prestigious medical place.
Mystery, it is a joy to see you and your post is so interesting. Yes, we all have these decisions about when money is well-spent in a meaningful, wholesome way, even if disappointing to let the money go. I had a somewhat similar conversation with my dd44 last evening. She just spent thousands on UV protection against mold in an HVAC unit and talked out her reasoning with me (insuring future health of her boys and herself). I've been told the same concern has been spotted in my unit, so it's something to think about. I have another large-price-tag health-ish potential buy, but it won't really "hurt" me not to have it. Weighed against something that actually guards and cares for our health in a more proven, sustainable way... .. I think I'd rather consider more wholesome purchases.
I am up on time.
Did journaling.
QT still to do I've been changing that up this past week got way ahead in my devo. / did it.

Amen to all the above! Much thanks that this board is still here. And much thanks and love to this community we have.
Feeling a little off today; it may be my body adjusting to new medication. The cardiologist changed my meds because my psychiatrist would like to put me on Adderall; my old meds would make that a definite no-no. So I’m to try this new regime for a week, then get some bloodwork to see how it’s going.
I’ve got half an hour before my therapy appointment; that’s probably enough time to get a wash started, isn’t it? Off to tackle Mt. Washmore!
Whoa! Everybody got here at once! When I started this post, only Twins was here; now, Cathy and LadyM and Harriet and Nancy are all here! Hello, everybody! Have a virtual muffin!

I have turned off the stereo and I'm going to turn off my computer for a bit. It's too overcast for the Lancaster bomber to do it's traditional fly over today. This plane flew during WW2. Now it's at the Warplane Museum in Hamilton.

Up… earlier than my usual, bc Dgd is an early riser.
She and I have played two games of uno and now she wants me to come up with something else “fun” we can do. I told her I am not the activities director.
Dgs is also awake now. Maybe they will do something together and I can s2s.
LadyM, I think that is absolutely wonderful that your ds is getting all this work experience. It will help him his entire life, no matter his career path. I wish my ds had worked more with my ddad. He would have; ddad just didn’t call on him.
Dh has already suggested that we eat out tonight, in part because it's the last good dinner I'll have until Thursday, after the colonoscopy. The prep starts tomorrow at 6 p.m. for a 9:30 a.m. appointment on Thursday. So much to look forward to this week!
I only sold one stamp set so far, but I it ready to mail. The other three haven't sold, even at $5 each. I'll leave them up longer and wait a little. Meanwhile, I'd like to put a few online every day. I'm afraid I'll renege in getting them out of the house.
We started out with heavy fog this a.m. and the sun is out now. Highs back in 70s.
