Twins… I think keeping up with my daily routines from my box made it possible to do my home in one day. I was up at 5:30 am to start my day because I needed to get my then husband ready for work.

I usually had a load of laundry going as soon as I got up, and I made sure my kitchen was done as well. And on Mondays I would do a mini clean.. picking up foot prints before I had a word for that was done before I went to bed and my bathrooms were swished and counters wiped down on a daily basis

I did my grocery shopping on Fridays and any other errands I needed done. Once I figure out and learned how to use my box it saved my sanity.

Even today I follow many of those routines. I just don’t get up as early as I did then 😂

Glad you had a good day today with your dmom, blessed.

Lucylee, are you getting some energy back now that you're not so apprehensive about the biopsy?

Dh did call, but asked if it was okay for him to go out with the district manager - dh wants to talk to him privately about some things anyway. They may have dinner so I'm off the hook as far as cooking or going out.

Dog is walked and I went and and played a few minutes. Oops, now he's barking again.

I still have a load of laundry to fold. I started a load this a.m. thinking I'd get the one in the dryer folder, so the washer load has advanced to dryer, and dryer load to breakfast area table.

I am relaxing. May leave the laundry. Perhaps dh will handle it when he's up early in the a.m.?

Where am I in January? Not where I wanted to be. The uncertainty over using the website for payments has held me back, and I hate uncertainty. I've not gotten back upstairs to clearing that room some after an initial burst of energy and a great afternoon. I had one great day of writing but haven't gotten back to it, nor gone to the library to review some of the books that should be reviewed.

My weight is great, continuing to lose slowly and I've been able to get the meds. I'm working out again and tracking my walking. Dry January is Damp January, but that's okay.

Feeling in-between today. Not so bad. Those deviled eggs with Sugar Snap peas and croissant were a nice breakfast.

Made a "chicken" salad today with green grapes and celery.

Spent time sewing and planning. Finished the mug rug. Working on a hopeful plan for 2025 UFOs. Getting it written down, physically seeing and touching what's what. Reminding myself with all my notes, and the baggies holding "next steps", etc. Maybe I can go back and forth between small and slightly larger projects.

LadyM, my dd44, with her older boys, has been a broken record of "did you wash" and "did you remember your deodorant" for years now. And when she had not nagged enough, I can attest that you didn't want to be in a close room with them. Do you just bluntly tell her, or are you trying to be tactful with her? I can see that either might have been advised. I fear the other students will be blunt and quick about it, too. When it's just quick-to-wash tee-shirts, it's not as much a problem as winter clothes, which are thick or layered, and not easy to clean repetitively, plus they hold odors. Has she ever been to a dry cleaner and seen the prices/receipt? That is an eye-opener.

Hoping HRH will watch another Hercule Poirot with me this evening. We had a good time with it last night.

Yes, Twins, I am feeling a lot better since I found out I can be sedated for the biopsy. I’ve been kinda lazy today, lots of sinus congestion.
I never vacuumed the carpet or anything today. I have dgrands right now while their parents are at the chiropractor. Later we’re going to meet at the steak house for supper.
I haven’t taken any extra anxiety meds today. I’m a little edgy but I’m trying not to get dependent on the klonopin. Even though I do have a fancy uterus. ROFLOL, Mystery! I hope everything comes back good for your biopsy.
Tomorrow is another day.

I did some stitching this afternoon.

Dh and I watched some curling together before supper.

We had spaghetti and meatballs for supper and tomorrow night will be leftover spaghetti and meatballs.

I have been eating a lot less sweets since Christmas and now I notice how sweet some things are.

Other than walking to the end of the driveway to pick up the empty compost bin, I haven't been out this afternoon. The snow came down steadily for most of the day. It was very light and won't be any good for making snowmen. Is it still PC to call them snowmen?

I have gone into the library numerous times today and each time I do, I look at something and wonder "who" it goes with. Earlier I discovered 3 regular pencils amongst the pencil crayons and brought them in here to live with the other pencils on my desk. I have a mason jar to hold pens and pencils on my desk. This method of organizing is like a game (so far) and it's almost too easy to figure out where things should be.

I can hear that "Wheel" is on, so it's time to turn on the dishwasher. (After 7 p.m. the cost of electricity goes from being Peak (price is highest) to Off Peak.) It might only be pennies, but it has been a routine for many years.

I started with being tactful but now it is blunt. After being gentle about this issue I brought it to DD13 counselor. I asked DD13 today if any of the teacher have talked with her about her body odor and she said they haven't. I have heard from other students that DD13 stinks.
** Is this just a normal teenage phase...... if so then it will resolve itself
** Is this because of previous abuse .... I am 99.9% sure no one is bothering her now. Is this a method to prevent?
** Is this because of some autism thing that I am clueless about. She says she is not sensitive to water touching her.
** Is this because she has low self esteem. She seems happy and lighthearted 99.9% of the time.
** Is this some sort of rebellion toward DD47? DD47 makes DD13 sit in bathtub of water for 30 minutes when she stays there. DD13 hates baths and takes shower here. .....well....she is SUPPOSE to take a shower everyday AND USE SOAP. Recently I checked the shower walls after DD13 left her bathroom and only one shower wall was wet. I asked her how that was possible and she admited that she just turned the water on but didn't get into the shower

If I knew the cause, then it would be easier to come up with a solution.

I have provided all the tools I can think of....took DD13 to Bath & Body shop and encouraged her to pick out everything that she liked. She seemed excited about doing that and picked several body washes in her favorite fragrances.

DD13 now has an assortment of female wipes and one time washcloths available.

I feel like I am missing something but i just don't know what I don't know. DD13 counselor is also thinking hard on this because she called to talk to me about the possible causes/solutions after DD13 last appointment.

Sorry for this becoming so long. I am clueless and frustrated to not be able to help DD13.

After sharing my frustration with raising teens, I must share a lighthearted moment that happened today.

This morning DS16 and I was talking through some details of upcoming events....his girlfriend birthday, a ski/mission trip, etc. Then he said "I have a crochet class on Saturday"
I stopped what I was doing and asked him to repeat that. I was sure that I didn't hear right.
DS16 is going to a crochet class on Saturday with his girlfriend.
I love this! I just never expected to hear DS16 say that he is willing to learn how to crochet.

LadyM one thing that came to my mind was... Is she trying to keep people at arm's length due to past. She might equate this with "i won't be seen (smelled) to be attractive to any possible abuse. I can tell you that one of my most distressing memories is that my step mother ALWAYS came in to say something to me when I was a teenager having a bath. I would try so hard to cover my breasts and between my legs. I hated the woman for a lot of other abuse she caused me (mostly getting me into trouble with my dad almost every night, causing me to be yelled at, grounded and/or beaten). There are numerous types of abuse. Having to sit in a bathtub for 30 minutes isn't nice. Have you talked to counsellor about this?

I did some writing.
Weather has changed and winds have kicked up.
I rested dosed off a bit.
Had an early dinner and got the kitchen cleaned up I like that it's done early.
I think I need to take doggo out on a lead at she dislikes that wind.
Glad for the work I did early in the day & that is was productive.
