Glad you found us, CL. Sounds like you had fun with Lil H yesterday, Smile*Lee. I do a lot with Little Bit as a grandmother but much less with the Utah crowdβ¦. But when they move across the country that is what happened. They are really good at finding family in a variety of ages thoughβ¦. I think because my son in law was military and used to moving and they are also super involved in the church and find family there.

Re: Maple Tree Monday @ TDD - C&C
Just a quick in & out. *waving to all!
I DID go to the gym. Walked a half hour on the treadmill and I was wiped out. Still, it was good for me to go. I'm still not completely over the virus, so I've ordered something different - a "silver" tincture that's supposed to be anti-viral - from a trusted source that might help snuff it out My other supplements haven't done the job. So... we'll see. Okay.. gotta jump in the shower. G and I are going to get a REAL ID. Illinois has to have them by May.

Re: Maple Tree Monday @ TDD - C&C
welcome back from your trip, cl. I think this new site is working well for us.
One thing I have noticed - making a post doesn't automatically mean notification for new posts. At least I have had to click on subscribe topic in order to be notified.
I didn't get to the K last night - nor today.
dfBS called around midnight, needing an ambulance ride to local hospital. So that occupied some time and energy, tho I didn't go to her house or to the hospital. Then she called before 0730 so my night was short! I did go to her house and the hospital this morning, which replaced Bible study time and more.
BTW, ANYONE who has used 23 AND ME: They are declaring chapter 11 bankruptcy. The attorney general in California has recommended deleting data for privacy protection, because a future buyer could change privacy policy, and there have been hacks into the data as recently as 2023.
This does not impact users of Ancestry. com. they are 2 completely different and competing companies.
I received this information from The Washington Post, a reliable and mainstream newspaper

Re: Maple Tree Monday @ TDD - C&C
Last CI before bedtime.
Trissie, so far I have daffodils, pansies, hellebores, periwinkle and crocus in flower in my garden.
L.Ann, puddle jumping sounds fun!
Gma, you're a very good friend. That all sounds very tiring!
Smilelee, what's "real ID"? Over here we don't have ID cards (although almost everyone has a driving licence, bus pass, work ID etc) Fun fact: a large minority of the population don't have photo ID, as they still have the old "green" paper driving licence. (When photo licences first came in, the government wanted to make it compulsory to get one, but then realised they couldn't actually throw 1.5 million refuseniks with a perfectly good paper licence in prison! So they're just letting "natural wastage" take its course.)
Hi, Peaches!
Upstairs is clean and tidy, I've cleaned the windows upstairs and done the maintenance, so that leaves downstairs for tomorrow. Everyone has been fed, so I'm calling it a win.
Night night, everyone!

Pick up my footprints! (Thank you, RRose!) What does this mean specifically for me? 0ff the top of my head: PUPA things out of place before I go to bed, PUPA tools I have used to do the housework, wipe down kitchen surfaces when I've finished there. Put my breakfast bowl and mug in DW. In other words, pick after myself!
Make list of outstanding jobs on the house and send to Handyman A. DF PM, who has been mentoring him through some difficult turns his life has taken, thinks he may be ready to start some jobs again. (If he doesn't reply in a reasonable time, or doesn't want to do anything, then I'll look for someone else, but I would prefer not to do that). Off the top of my head, clean gutters and the swan neck on the downpipes where "stuff" tends to accumulate, clean cladding back and front and downpipes, and short return wall as well. Replace the bit of mortar that's fallen out of the edge of the roof (I think its called the verge?) , fix dripping kitchen tap ( new washer?), sort out cabinet that wobbles, fix garage guttering that's loose at one end and bending down. More as I think of them?

Find picture hanging equipment for DH
Sort prints and put in albums (this will probably be an activity to do on wet days!) WIP
