I had set out to make hot and sour tomato sauce, but ended up packing so much food into the small slow cooker that I had to move it around to fit the tomato sauce in. It will probably cook down to be more saucy.

thanks to laurlind, I was prompted to clean my refrigerator! Thank you, laurlind! The body of my refrigerator is clean, including removing, washing adn replacing the snack bin and the fruit/veggie crispers. The door will wait until another day.
DW is running, and Dilly Bread is rising (yes, I mixed up the bread dough for church supper tomorrow as well).

I need to get off my feet (sore foot) for while.

And it's time to call mother, to see how BINGO went today. I hope she won at least something. (They are rewarded with mini candybars for a win, and $1 for the first coverall. ) She really enjoys it.
After I eat supper (in a couple hours, and I will have the meal I saved from yesterday's good supper, so no cooking) I will gather a bag from one of her shopping expeditions, and bring stuff for her to try on. Plus Easter cards in case she wants us to address some.

I can pat myself on the back, and recognize that I can actually get something done at home, when I have time to stay here, am not interrupted, and can focus.

Good afternoon, everyone.
I keep trying to post more but when I get online I get distracted by my many open tabs and end up going in a totally different direction.
I love roses. I think I’m going to look for a climbing rose. I keep seeing photos of some gorgeous ones. We bought a rose bush a couple of weeks ago that is yellow with a red or dark pink edge. Now I’ll have to see if it still has its name tag, not sure if it’s a tequila sunrise but sounds similar.
My college daughter got us hooked on Bluey several years ago so their theme song is an earwig to me on occasion.
I’m trying to do round robins so hope posting will keep me on track.

Trissie, I've never done an escape room, but, from what I've heard, it does sound enjoyable. I'm not a huge fan of Friday evening events either. I hope the parent - teacher evening wasn't too awful for DH -at least he now knows just what you've had to put up with!

Laura, I hope your day was both productive and enjoyable.

L.Ann, we don't usually get so much an extended period of warm, dry, sunny weather this early in the year, so I'm trying to make the very most of it. The nights are still chilly though, even down to freezing.

WTG cleaning out your fridge, Gma! I'm glad your DMum has found something she enjoys at the NH.

Hi, Peaches!

I had a good time in my garden -this beautiful weather means my patio set is being well used! And I also did some weeding and deadheading. The predator again st the fuchsia gall mite arrived this afternoon, so I'll set that up tomorrow -Ill just use short stakes to hang the envelopes on, if there isn't enough new growth.

My sitting room is now clean and tidy, and I've cleaned the patio doors. I've also picked up my foot in the kitchen! Paperwork is dealt with and the financial stuff is dealt with, and I've ordered myself a new summer cardigan as a remit to be gracious and accommodating about BIL's impending visit. (I know I shouldn't really need a "bribe", it *should* just come naturally, but it doesn't, yet )

I'm in bed now. DH is back from choral, and I can hear him repacking the dishwasher that I packed before I came upstairs.

Off the top of my head, clean gutters and the swan neck on the downpipes where "stuff" tends to accumulate, clean cladding back and front and downpipes, and short return wall as well. Replace the bit of mortar that's fallen out of the edge of the roof (I think its called the verge?) , fix dripping kitchen tap ( new washer?), sort out cabinet that wobbles, fix garage guttering that's loose at one end and bending down. More as I think of them? ( Still waiting for a reply) In the circumstances, leave until after Easter them contact him again before looking for someone else.

I called mother. She said she didn't do BINGO, that she has been very tired all day, sleeping off and on and she has a fever. I called the nurse.
Nurse went there immediately and checked ehr vitals, they are all normal. No fever had been reported either. They are very good about paying close attention to her.
My bread is rising, or I would go there right away. But since her vitals are normal, I will finish the bread - it will take 2 hours - 1 for rising, 1 for baking - then go see her, and bring the dog.
