blessed, I'd been meaning to tell you I thought it was a bright idea to get cards done with your dmother. Goodness, a joy that she had fun with the trick-or-treaters and was so engaged!

For the first time in years, we had the two families of grands at two different times. Ds, ddil and children came early so that they could join friends of dgdC in their neighborhood. She in a western outfit as a particular singer (no clue) and he in a football jersey as a particular NFL player (no clue). I had sewn gifts ready for them - just barely, lol. But did not yet have the card printed for the "Foraged Brew" (my nicer herbal/spice tea in bags).

HRH did indeed bake the cookies, and chatted with online friends saying just what I said he would, lol - the old, experienced baker, ya' know. They were delish and very pretty on a cute plate.

Ddolder and the three youngest boys came at their usual time. I did have the "Brew" card printed and attached to a bag with about 10 organza tea bags. Dolder read the card aloud. I did NOT have enough sewn gifts ready then, but they loved the cookies and took the remainder home, which pleased HRH. WonderBoy came as a green Shy Guy from Mario Brothers games, dgsC as Steven Universe from the Cartoon Network, and youngest dgsJ as the only scary character we had, Ghostface from the movie Scream (not bloody, his mother pointed out - the green light-up one). Their mother got their photograph in our backyard.

Most popular candy in our little mix - Gummie Skittles. Even ds had to have those and said he'd never seen them before.
