Hi, Peaches!

The rain started soon after 8 am and it has rained continuously since then. So when the JWs rocked up soon after 11, they were very wet. I didn't keep them too long today, as it would have been unkind for them to get even wetter. And no cards were delivered today! I'll try again tomorrow or Friday. But the kitchen is clean and I've PUPA and hoovered through the house.

Well I feel like I got somewhere but nowhere today. The day rapidly turned around. Kinda. My life is about to change. In what way I am not certain.

Cookie party was fun but missing quite a few people cause a lot are sick. So is school missing a lot. Ds seems a little better now that he slept till after 1030.

No sooner I got to the party my sister called. Dad had gone into the support person at the hospital. Ended with finding a room for mom. Looks like she is going to the hospital tomorrow morning to stay until her spot at the care home opens. Big deal... I am sad but relieved. Dad is not doing well. He was desperate for help. And I know mom will get care while I'm away. Anyways spent a good amount of time on the phone and got mom and such. Everything is falling into place. Except my shopping 🛍 . I didn't get to any store.

Oh well maybe dh is thinking.

I did clean some. Should deal with laundry. Make supper. Gonna reuse some leftovers.

Maybe your trip was the impetus your dfather needed to place your dmother where she can get the care that she needs. You can be confident that things are being looked after while you are away.

(((Laura))), we look up to our parents so much as children that it can be hard to switch roles. It seems to hit harder over the holiday season. Prayers for your parents as they also deal with change.

Kittykatt, I read your post earlier and was going to say that sounds right but I asked dh when he got home what a sultana was and he reminded me where I’ve heard it before. It’s a flowering plant! Also known as an impatien. *headsmack* This stuck in my head all day and he was like “no biggie, it’s a flower” lol. My family may have used the term referring to food as well.
