You sound so relaxed now, helia. I found a bag of gifts meant for dd 2 from 2024 lol. I put them in her room for whenever she comes home. Oh - her bd is next month, I could hold them until then.

Done:
Emails
Dogs out and in and fed
Refilled water bowl
Checked on dh who needs to be getting ready for an appt - in the shower
Asked dh to deposit check for me
Coffee
Heated up yesterday’s biscuits for breakfast
Weigh
Logged weight and meal
Dh is off
Finished eating
Played game
Roundhouse notifications
Dust
Vacuum
Feed pets
Fill water bowls
Scoop litter boxes
Water 💧💧💧💧💧💧
Dh called, Dr visit done, what do I want him to bring home for lunch (Pounders - Hawaiian meal)
Package arrived from Michaels store
Arranged snowball stems in vase on bar counter, love it 🥰
Backfilled planner for this week using my posts here and meal app, both so helpful
Dh is home so it’s lunchtime and then I will try to read some
♥ Wake each day expecting good things to happen! ♥

Hello, all. Thanks, Kittykatt, and thanks for starting us off. I admire you being able to paint your walls. I was never satisfied when I tried to do mine. I would just give up after six coats or so, and decide to live with it.

It's laundry day for me today. I have a few minutes before I have to go and flip it.

kitkat, I'll take your grey if you can take my cold, LOL.

We were forecast for a warm weekend but the warm just seems to keep moving further away. Thank you, Germane, for not wanting to go out in the cold! Yesterday, she wanted to go out with me. I hesitated because I wasn't sure how cold it was. Once I got out into the -30 C wind, I was happy that she was in the apartment.

helia, it's funny how a "short" week can feel like a long one.

Okey, I've got to go and flip the laundry. I'll be back.

L.Ann, it is interesting that the centre is able to keep running when the weather is bad enough to close the schools.

trissie, I'm glad that you got to work from home and that you are free of payroll now until Monday.
I am like you. Even though the country extends to the ocean, see food is expensive here and it's not good. It doesn't taste the same as what you get when it's local.

Time to check the washers again. Last time they needed 10 more minutes.

According to google shrimp is high in cholesterol but low in fat and some studies show it is good at raising good cholesterol. DD33 has to watch sugar, cholesterol, potassium and sodium with her med. It is a balancing act.
Schools were closed today for semester break Dogged. The center doesn’t get paid if they don’t have the clients. Usually they would have opened sooner but the ice was bad. They had to find a second contractor with the correct equipment to remove the ice and then they gave sand and salt another day. A lot of their clients have significant medical issues and they couldn’t risk anyone falling. They also said if your drive or road was too icy to make arrangements with your individual driver to meet them somewhere or at the end of the drive.

It's good that the centre is being so careful with their clients, L.Ann. Green flags instead of red ones. I hadn't thought of a scheduled break for the schools; I had just assumed that it was weather.
It's wonderful for you to be on the coast and so close to the shrimp that are good for your DD33.

Bama, you are so organized that you have birthday gifts all sorted out before you start shopping for them! ;)
I would guess that the corn cobs and beans and rice just weren't selling well in Canada, and that's why Popeye's dropped them. I remember that KFC had a startlingly different menu in Virginia from what I was accustomed to in Canada. I can't picture Kentucky fried chicken livers going far, LOL, but I appreciated the battered vegetables.
Bama, Bama, Bama, don't use a colour-coordinated Christmas tree to intimidate your guests. That's what the good dishes are for.

It's wonderful that you can have flowers in your garden at this time of year, Kittykatt.

True, trissie, when we have little space, we have to reclaim our space as quickly as we can.

Woo hoo on finding the mojo, Bama! I could picture dusting while waiting for mojo, but I can't imagine hauling out the vacuum without mojo to back me up.

kitkat, it's deadly to put something "away where you won't forget it." Guaranteed, I have forgotten it.

I expect that the meal kits contribute to how organized your cooking is, L.Ann.

helia, I see that you are in the club of having future gifts already bought.

Friday
15 minutes on course
Cleaned up after dog X 2
Got the laundry cart out
Sorted dirty laundry
Got laundry card
Started two loads of laundry
Went up flip them: needs another 10 minutes
Flipped laundry. Brought the delicates back.
Washed far too many delicates. There aren’t enough horizontal surfaces to spread them out.
Put on a pot of coffee

Yes, Doggedly, I've noticed that my definition of "warm" is now 20+*F. It has migrated a bit these last weeks. He he!
I think I'll cook shrimp once next week, L Ann. I have a pound in the freezer that's taking up space, and both dh and I really like it! I knew it was low fat but I didn't know it was also high in good cholesterol. That's something.
I am more relaxed, Bama, since I don't have a class to teach. How forward thinking to have your daughter's birthday gifts bought already. :)

Enjoy your dinner out, helia. I splurged on my shawarma yesterday, so I am restricting myself to what's in the apartment. There's lots of food here. I am in no danger of starving, LOL. I'm starting off with jellied consommé with lemon juice. I think maybe fish and chips after.

I have all of the laundry back in the apartment. Now to apply my creativity to find ways to spread it all out to dry.

I disappeared - but not really:)
Took a reading break, took pup for an outing, took a drive with my camera for my "weekly photo". Picked up some groceries.
Fed Dpup. E-mailed a dfriend.
Need to advance laundry and then I'm quitting.

Have a great night Everyone. See you tomorrow!

Weekly photo sounds fun, kitkat. Have a good night!

Germane can smell that I have cooked fish, and will accept no substitutes. All dog food is out of the question at this point.
