Thanks, Kittykatt. You are right; it is a big relief to see Germane eating and asking for more.
You do have a busy week ahead. We'll be here to cheer you on. :D

Sunday
Cleaned up after dog
Breakfast for Germane–she’s eating again!
Tried to check online that there is enough money in the chequing account to cover the rent: the bank locked down my account when I forgot my card PIN yesterday
Called bank
Got my account unlocked.
I think that I remember my PIN, so agent did not change it. That’s good, because I would have had to get back to the ATM within 2 hours, and we are back to winter temperatures (windchill between -20 C and -30.) Aaand, my bank has started locking us out of the ATM lobby outside of bank hours because homeless people where sheltering there
FACE: paid bills, checked balances
Fed dog multiple times. I opened that can last night, and we are down to about a third of the can left. Such a relief!
Cleaned dw filters
Siphoned dw water tank
Filled dw to run later
Emptied the sink
Lunch
Scrubbed out sink and basin
Washed a couple of basinsful of dishes
Wiped down accessible surfaces
Put rice cookers in to soak
Worked on budget sheet. I think that I made it worse.

So... I'm back from walking with dpup. We turned into a family outing: Dgkids joined me first at the bookstore. That was fun... so we continued onto a Winners. DSon and DDIL joined us there. Dpup kept everyone amused:) (she is good at that)
My WHB got postponed to tomorrow, as I got home pretty tired - and dirty from snow/mud/salt combo. I took a nice hot bath
and am ready to relax for a bit, until I start cooking dinner. My book is very good...

LAnn good to see you:)
Dogged - hang onto your canned food - Germane is just being moody. (Veggies I've done successfully w doggies:
cooked carrots, green beans, peas, broccoli, canned (unsweetened) pumpkin, sweet potato, - I hear spinach is a good one but I have not done it. )
helia  - indoor watering! I brought downstairs my blooming orchid from my bedroom so it can join its sisters in the window:) They are doing well. (I hope I did not jinx them)
A 30 min. walk counts!
Kittykatt I hear rain is coming our way... can't imagine the mess it will make...
Yes, DGkids are wonderful . I read a good book a while ago:
My Grandmother Sends Her Regards And Apologises by Backman. It, my own dmom who is thought of very highly by my dkids, plus a friend who held onto her grandmother's memory so fondly right through her life, made me think of the role I'm playing in dLittle Ones' lives. I'm just thankful I'm able to do it.

trissie - your pruning...

Back later - if not, have a great night everyone!

Oh yes, Kitty, my apologies! You already explained to me about the cherry cake. I guess I forgot! Dd27 made brownies which she shared with us tonight. Yummm.....
Kitkat, a family outing sounds like fun! What book are you reading? I'm still trying to finish Happiness Falls; I need to get back into the habit of reading regularly.
Glad Germane is eating, Doggedly.

So many things did not get done today, but I spent about an hour this afternoon just picking up, spiffing the bathrooms, and wiping down vertical surfaces in the living room. I also put out the kitchen counter hot spot. It felt good to get parts of the house a little cleaner. The play room desperately needs some attention but not sure when I can give it.

We hosted CG2 3:30 - 5:50. We spent about 15 minutes chatting with L and B before the Cs arrived with Raven, their Bernedoodle puppy. :) The Cs and dd27 went home around 8:45 pm. It was an active evening with the 2 pups chasing each other around the house and wrestling under the table. There was almost equally animated conversation among the humans as well. :)

I'm going to do duolingo next and then see about health apps. Then, I'm going to read - if I can stay awake.

Next:
- duolingo
- update health apps
- read

Later:
- lists in notebook
- payroll: exam prep progress
- writing time
- can I get in a walk?
- duolingo
- update health apps

TaDas!
- up; weighed self - up a bit (I ate a lot with the afternoon potluck)
- coffee
- email deletions + weather websites
- back exercises
- s2s and self care
- church
- home; lunch
- lunch
- after lunch clean up
- make the bed
- tame kitchen hot spot
- s/s main bathroom + MBR toilet
- tidy living areas
- wipe down surfaces in living room
- 3:30 - 5:50 host CG2
- chat more with B and L
- 6:10 - 8:45 host dinner
- after dinner clean up

I’m so happy Germane has an appetite, I don’t blame her for getting bored with foods. I used to try to stay on a schedule with meals aka meatless Monday, taco Tuesday, etc but I never could stick with it. She knows what she wants!

Dogged, lol at your interpretation of a self heal plant, we were both off base!

Sounds like a fun day, helia, and the food probably was effortless too, I know you were concerned with warming up food for the second round of guests.

Kitkat, a hot bath and book are the perfect way to end a day.

LAnn, I’m not sure I’ve heard bagpipes other than in a celebratory way, that might take some getting used to for me but I’m up for it. Will see what’s on Spotify.

Kittykatt, I hope all goes well with your appointment.

We will be married 30 years this October so I think we can sleep separately and be ok with it lol. And it keeps me from harming him. For the record, we were in the same room for many, many years before this, when Shea moved out in 2017 is probably when I got my own space… seems like not that long ago but her class is already planning their 10th year anniversary, so weird. The kids grow older but I stay the same. :P

We had a very nice day, drove to Mobile, where I’m from, and pointed out all of the growth in buildings and traffic, went to the vintage market that comes around twice a year, visited an antique mall, ate at Waffle House, went by brothers to drop off pw but he was at a funeral so left it for him. Went to Morrisons cafeteria for food which will be tomorrow’s supper as we were stuffed from Waffle House. We hit with the church crowd and everyone was so nice, we had a long wait in line (it’s like a buffet with servers) but everyone was patient and chatty so it was enjoyable. We stopped at a car lot on the way home and checked out vehicles for me, my car is 14yo and will need to be replaced at some point. I did forget to get gas so will have to get it next time. I like to fill up and park so it’s ready to go rather than have to fill up on my way to wherever.
When we got home we unloaded everything, I had to clean up from the animals, then we went outside and pulled up some gardenia bushes I’ve been on the fence about. The snow last year did some damage and while they seem to be coming back, we figured they’re over 16yo, there were five in a row on one side of the front of the house, we ended up pulling 3 to thin them out which looks sooo much better. I will try tomorrow to prune, weed around, lay ground covering, mulch while we debate if they stay or go. The problem is briars have intertwined around the trunks and are very difficult to remove entirely without some sort of chemical treatment and even then they root all over. So long story even longer, if we can’t destroy the briars, all of the bushes may end up going and we will start from scratch.
Watched a couple tv shows before getting ready for bed. Now in bed and trying to get sleepy. Sweet dreams.

I did do some dishes and got my hair washed, and the dw is now running.

Any time you make it, you are welcome, L.Ann. :)

That sounds like a fun outing, kitkat. It is great that your dfamily lives close enough to get together like that.

I can imagine that the two pups had a great time playing, and kept you all busy, helia.

It sounds like a nice, relaxing day, Bama.

Thank you all for your encouraging words about Germane. Since last night, she has polished off a whole can of dog food, and she's just a little dog, so hopefully we have turned a corner with her.

Wtg on remembering your pin, Dogged. Im sure you’ve been concerned about Germane's appetite so I’m glad she’s eating.

I’m just adding on to tomorrows list as I think of things.
