Re: Battle of Thermopylae Thursday @ TDD - C&C
Bama, no. We have payroll Friday and Monday - no days off for the holiday. In fact, I'm giving a test tomorrow which I'm supposed to also have graded by the end of the day tomorrow. It's a writing test so will take me longer -- we shall see. All the Easter prep and festivities will just make the weekend fuller.
Hi Gma!
Not getting much done. Messages with a friend. More payroll messages. I'm heading to the shower next.

Sorry you have to work, helia. You seem to thrive on activities and deadlines so I know you will do well.
Gma, any soreness today? Hope you’re doing well.
Kitkat, depends on my mood as to how I fix cucumbers. Usually my fave is thin sliced, water squeezed out, add a little sour cream and vinegar, salt and pepper.
We are having spaghetti so to go with that… I just got fresh tomatoes so I was thinking tonight will be cukes and tomatoes cut into the same sizes, maybe some purple onion, either Italian dressing or red wine vinegar.
What’s your favorite way to make it?
I guess lunch is over. I’d like a nap after sitting so need a push. Paper chores are next. Need to write out what we owe on things that can be paid off and start tackling that. I’d like to get on the riding mower some too this afternoon and keep the grass at a decent height. Weeds are popping up all over.

Re: Battle of Thermopylae Thursday @ TDD - C&C
Hello, everyone!
FFB, your appointment goes well and they can get rid of that abscess
Trissie, that's a very good point, and also the reason why I wanted to request getting a culture done so we would know exactly what we were dealing with, tether than just guess! However, today's nurse didn't think there was any infection, so fortunately antibiotics are on the back burner for now. (And I hope that's where they stay!)
L.Ann, yay for a successful blood draw!
KitKat, a flower arranging workshop sounds lovely!
That's a lot of evening social events in a week, Helia! If you do go to the church service today, could you eat afterwards to save so much of a rush beforehand?
Gma, I hope you're recovering well today.
Bama, I must try your cucumber recipe, it sounds quick, easy and tasty!
The vet rang the at 8.45 am to talk me through Fred's blood test results and the results that had come through from the lab so far. All good news, so everyone is very happy
We had a lovely Maundy Thursday service, but MQ wasn't at church as she's not well, so we'll celebrate DF PM's birthday next week instead. (Her birthday is on Monday, so half way between the two Thursdays)
Jude was a little angel at weight loss clinic, and has lost another 10 grams. Freddie has achieved celebrity status with his appalling behaviour, and the animal health assistant said today, with a twinkle in in her eye, that he was the most foul-mouthed cat she had ever met, as he never stopped swearing! While I was still there the rest of Freddie's results arrived, so the lovely receptionist asked a vet to come and explain them to me. They were all good too.
My appointment also went well - today's nurse has a ginger cat, who is also named Freddie! There do seem to be some similarities in their characters! She was more optimistic and just out some gel on it when she changed the dressing. I go back next Thursday, unless I'm worried over the Easter weekend, when she recommended the walk in centre.
I think I'm going to try for an early night. I'm tired after a busy day, and Handyman MJ is coming tomorrow morning (his suggestion -he knows it's Good Friday!) to look at the patio door. The temperature and weather was right for it to do its thing today, so DH was able to see for himself, not just a photo on my phone. And painter J has had to postpone the house painting for a couple of weeks (he still has a backlog from the wet winter). I'm actually quite pleased, as the glass for the patio door will have to be ordered, and I would prefer this to be done before the house painting , and definitely not at the same time!!!
