Metal detectors would be great! I doubt they’ll go that far. They did say they would be using a magnet when all done, but I was pleasantly surprised when I got home tonight and saw how much they had cleaned up today. I left around 6:00 to go to a meeting at church, and then ate supper with ds and family, so I’m not sure how late they stayed.

I’m also still having some issues about that satellite dish on the pole now. I just think I want it back on the roof.
Ds and ddil say I am crazy for having it at all. They strongly advise streaming. They use Hulu. Do y’all have any thoughts on this?

I still need to take care of laundry, shower, and settle down for the night. They’ll be hammering and stomping around early in the morning.

LucyL. dson has Hulu or some type of streaming but still has one of those really tall poles like you were talking about
in an earlier post. His shop is lower than the house and he has I'd by the shop so he can use the t/v's in there and
work on equipment [I have cable b/c I could not figure out the streaming on the t.v's. LOL!] my chrome book streams from the router
to it and phones work wirelessly. No clue how that happens! Some thing to Google or use ai to learn about maybe.

Well we didn't do a walk today ddoggo declined the go out in the rain with me for yard work.
Aka "princess puppy" according to DD lol! We did walk to both corners as sun had just went down,
it was nice, dusk and getting dark so I took the flash lite.

Some one needs to wash her dishes up. Me.
I did some earlier.

Happy with my progress and my hip & leg are better yea.

I've not watched much t/v today but have seen some classes on art and journaling in a comp note book
that I'm grateful I found. One of the assignments" was to read the writing out loud so ddoggo Sat at my
feet and listened to the story!

Finished up a hot pads and had music time this evening.

Nancy, I think I do not want to try to figure out the streaming services either! Ds and ddil think I am crazy, and I’m paying over twice as much as they do, but I just hate to change. I may drop the movie channels though. I almost never use them.

I went out and ate with ds and family after the church meeting.

I am struggling with a little bit of nerves tonight. I don’t really like having all these strange men at my house all day. Of course, I’ve barely spoken to them, and when I have, they have been very nice — offering to move their truck, etc.

LucyLee, we just use streaming for TV - I dont know anyone that still has a dish. Personally , we just use free streaming services (because I'm too mean to pay for a subscription!) but the TV handset has buttons for Netflix if we wanted to take out a subscription for that. Sometimes we use the Humax box for more free channels, but mostly just use the TV. Some friends have subscriptions to Sky Glass which is also a.streamimg service (I think that's more for sport?) Some people I know use Virgin media, which used to be traditional cable, but now uses WiFi (not sure exactly how that works either, but they seem to be very happy with their choice!)

If your new tv choice is tricky to set up, then I'm sure DS or DGS would be able to do it for you in just a few minutes! Also,.when my older neighbours switched to Virgin, someone from the company came out and did the installation (for free).

Edited to add:
I've just remembered, our broadband company also sells pay TV streaming packages, and if we ever bought one, they would come out and get us all set up for free. (DH is perfectly capable of doing this, but I pointed out these installers do it day in day out for their job, so why not take advantage of their free offer?)
