Monday
Read
Gave Germane her heart pill and peanut butter
Put on a pot of coffee
Put away dry dishes
Washed floor near Germane’s pee pads
Cleaned up after dog
Misc tidying
Pills for Germane
Spiffed self X 2
Cleared off the table
Wiped down the table X 2
Put away dry laundry
Put away small drying rack
Watered plants
Bagged up kitchen garbage and took it to chute
Walked Germane
Checked mail
Bagged up styrofoam etc from table box
Brought table box to recycling to make room
Brought bags of styrofoam to garbage to make rom
Moved the tables around
Tried the pedal under new table: failed experiment
Worked on reorganizing things
Found a spot for wire cart that has the dog’s kibble and paper recycling box
The plastic cart is now surplus to requirements and can go to the basement
I need to find a home for the vacuum cleaners. But not tonight
Put tablecloths on the tables. They look really nice now.
Put place mats on teh new table. It looks less nice. I think that I’ll look for clear runners when I’m at the dollar store looking for a fly swatter.

Oh, man, this is not working. Somehow, the tablecloth which I swear I washed before putting it in the cabinet, is giving off dust that will send my sinuses into a tailspin. I'm taking the cloth off back off and sending it through the laundry.

I find it easy to put off dishes until later too, doggedly.

had long talk with next door neighbor to mother, who is now in assisted living, with her dh who has been in hospice for about a year. And she says he is nearing the end fairly soon now. She doesn't want any visitors atm. A very private person. I offered, she declined.
Hospice nurse also called me about dfBS, who was having respiratory distress this evening, requiring an increase of medication.
bffLR mother died Saturday night. Funeral is Friday am. I bought some sandwich meat turkey and ham, also brought bread, mayo, and lettuce so they can make sandwiches on these hot days as family shows up.
Another neighbor to mother has his 85 birthday on Friday - I have to find a really good card for him!

And finally some good news: The corn truck from local sweetcorn farm appeared today. I had first ear of sweet corn for the summer. It's always the very best one, and it was sooo good!
And I had a nice 1 mile walk when the temp dropped to 82. Mosquitoes came out toward the end, but I got to my car within 5 minutes, as I was walking a path a ways from home. I almost always feel better after a good walk. I have 200 steps to go to meet my daily goal. (When I live in mother's house I get the goal without the extra walk, but my house is so much smaller, I have to add in a walk.)

That corn sounds good, Gma! I haven't been out to a farm stall yet this summer. WTG on getting your steps in.
I'm sorry to hear that you have another funeral to go to. You are very kind to your friends and neighbours.

I'm happier now that I have taken the cloth back off of the table. It can come back after it's been washed, and that will give me time to look for a clear runner in the dollar store. But that's a tomorrow thing. I think that I'm off duty for the night now. Have a good one!
