No, not newspaper size, Harriet (though I do have a tray that big). A regular sheet of copy paper will fit on the tray itself. Think that's why Kathryn was using them to sort before filing at one point. I tried it to -worked for me and I could just stack the trays with sorted papers on them if I needed to pick up before I was ready to file.

I've cleaned up the splatter from pouring the patio expansion and it looks a lot better now.

Read a couple chapters in a book I've been working on reading.
Journaling is done.
Mail has been processed.

 In my wisdom: I called the library and requested some books on chicks & coups, they did not have the ones I wanted idot's guide to, or chickens for dummies so I asked if they could buy those as I could not be the only one interested and did not have it in the system in a 150 mi. radius! I've had them order books before. One title I recognized and sure enough have it on the kitchen table so said not to get that one.

I finished a puppet and started a new one.

Fielded some phone calls. The Realtor's helper is going to come and get the sign out front. Two fliers have went out this week. Realtor can't get the lock box until next week as she's out of town.

I have granny duty off and on the next few days.
So taking atvantage of my "day off" today as it were.

I read through the adds. they have deli chicken on sale this weekend so we will be having that for at least one meal. Grands will be spending the night here Sat. so I told dd to bring
church clothes with them she thought that was a great idea.

I watched some of the coverage of hurricane this morning.

I mowed today hoping it might help my back a bit I'm thinking maybe it did, couldn't hurt!

Went for dh's passport and we accomplished that. Brought DH and DGS7 back here and I went to DS-A's to process any checks and to sign his payroll checks & put them in envelopes & label those. I was a tad nervous when he said he needed $3,000 to cover payroll -of course I have no idea what his business does these days (and that's the way I like it). I had several checks to record for him and took them to the bank. She came up with $280 less than I had. Finally figured out there were 2 checks missing. So back I went, tracing my steps and very nervous I might have dropped them outside. These 2 were smaller personal sized checks. Went downstairs at DS's -there they were at the bottom of the stairs. Whew! Back to the bank.

Called & left DS a message as to how much I had deposited. At least it was well more than he'd told me -though it was info I didn't need. I was gone over two hours for this little project. But all's well, etc....... Worse part was I had thought of paper clipping them (had 10 checks) but didn't see them right off and didn't feel like rummaging. Uh -this SHE should have rummaged. Lesson learned -you'd think at my age I wouldn't have a whole lot of lessons to learn!

Now I really have earned some reading time. I'm off!

Home from work. The CPE ended up taking until 2 p.m. so I worked on until 5:30. I talked to dd on the way home - she may come here this weekend for the funeral of a girl she went to HS with. (This girl apparently was diagnosed with leukemia just after HS graduation - I've seen posts about her all over Facebook today.)

Our old house officially went on the market today - photos are wonderful, I may post a link in Members only. What a roller coaster - they sent us a link where we can see when showings are scheduled and see realtors comments and we already have a showing tonight.

I didn't get groceries yesterday so need to go now....at least it's close.

Would love to see it, Twins! New one too when you have time someday.

DGS7 has gone with DS-R and I'm done Granny duty for a while. Doubt if I'll have him any more this year. Sad about that. :( People are now talking of 'when' they're leaving for warmer climes. Hardly seems possible. Of course we have 2 months before we leave, but it feels like it's on top of us. Mainly because dh is busily helping ready their RV's for winterizing.

OKay, I posted the link to the old house in members only. As I said, mixed feelings!

Just looked online again and there's another showing scheduled for tomorrow night.

I'm heading to the store now.

OK, dinner is over. Ds managed to take care of his phone issue. He also managed to finally deposit graduation checks in his account. All the thank yous are done except for 2. He is off to a campus group bbq, the same one where our bbq is right now! :) I think he is mostly packed. We've tweaked the departure time tomorrow after discovering the parking permit starts at 9 a.m., not 8 a.m. *phew* That gives us an extra hour. My van is clean! I still need to put the odds and ends back into it. Kitchen is clean, dw is running - not full, but I'm running it anyway. Dh called and all is going well. Tomorrow is their last day, and they'll be sight-seeing in Amsterdam. He, however, is now swamped with a deadline a week from Monday. He was a bit cranky b/c of all the work that is now piling up.

I should probably make a phone call tonight; I need to figure out this woman's phone #.

Ooh, I'd LOVE to see photos, Twins!! I seem to remember seeing photos of your house before. Yes, I too want to see the new house too --whenever you get around to it. Not wanting to give you more to do, just wanting to know more about you. Wouldn't it be interesting if we each posted photos of our homes? It would make posts different to me; I could imagine each of you in your own home setting. I think some of you have posted home photos in the past.

Then again, maybe the point of this forum is that you and your house get to be anonymous. ;)

I finished watching the 2nd episode of Emma. I put things back in the car. I scrubbed out the plastic box that sits in the car under the shelf between the 2 front seats. It was gross! I threw out a lot of the accumulated pencils and pens. I found a smaller box which fits more nicely than the other one did. Brought up garbage and recycling bins from the curb.

I did not jog. The sun sets earlier than I had thought, so it was too dark 2 hours after i had eaten. I'm going to try an exercise video. I am still waiting for m y T Tapp to come. . . . Our bbq should be on its way back, so I need to keep an eye out for them too.

Got so distracted looking at the pics, Twins. I'm ready to move in. Unfortunately a little bit out of my region -hah! you thought I was going to say 'price range'. Seriously, it's a beautiful place, Twins!

Happy Birthing Day Kathryn and Happy Birthday to ds24! Have a good time at birthday party!

I did cuop a little bit at a time today. Kept myself busy with weekly routine. I usually do that closer to the weekend, but got most of it done today. Ds#3 called about 10:30 am. He's at work at that time so I knew something had to be wrong. Ddil's dsmother passed away suddenly yesterday afternoon. Her ddad said they're not sure how it happened; she's been fighting cancer for a few years, but was all right in the morning when he left for work. A friend who's been staying with them found her in the bathroom. They think it may have been her heart.

Anyway, ds#3 called to ask if ddil and her two sisters could stay here with us. Ddil is driving to TN where sisters live tomorrow morning, then they will start for FL after supper in the younger sister's van arriving here between 5 and 8 am Friday morning. I'm not sure at this time how long they will be here, we'll see how things go.

Wow, Cowinkie, 3 cement trucks and construction crews in your neighborhood!

Dee, what a good idea to use a tray for smaller containers in the fridge.

Nancy, sounds like the hen pen is coming along good.

Oh, Harriet, sorry you had nightmares. I don't read S King's novels - they would give me nightmares! I'm happy to say I haven't had a bad dream for a long time (knock on wood!).

I know there was more responses I had in mind, but can't remember now... Think I'll take a walk around the village and see what else is new.
