Well, that was a good 2 hours that I semi napped. Read a little.
Munching an apple. Tastes somewhat good, but not as good as usual. Know 1 farm around here that had an article in the paper this week -absolutely no apples this year. Weather got them this spring.
Still darker, but hasn't rained as yet. See on the radar there's a big patch coming though. Think I heard a drop on the roof. Supposed to be considerably cooler with the rain front. DH had said he was going to watch a close by football game tonight, but I'm doubting it. I know football plays rain, shine or snow!
Have a 'pig roast' here tomorrow night. Think they sold all the tickets they had so don't know if they'll try to get more food so they can sell more tickets or not. Went back down and got tickets for DS-R & DDIL#1. Called to see if they wanted any because I knew they would be gone by the time they come tonight -if they even come tonight. With the weather forecast, I doubt if they come before tomorrow.
Talked to dd last night and she sounded better (more "up") than she has. Part may be because they're thinking of a new business venture which will utilize dsonil's learned skills from the past few years.

Hello everyone! I survived my busy night last night. I cooked cube steak while I talked to a DFriend I hadn't heard from in a year. Also ran a LOL but did not get it folded. I went to the mission team meeting at church, came home, cooked some fried rice, updated Quicken, and ate Froot Loops for dinner. Tonight I will look in on a friend's cats, do another LOL, clean the floor in the sewing room (DFosterCat is messy), and have dinner of some sort. It would be sensible to go to bed early, I wonder if I will do it? Tomorrow, I deliver cats to the adoption clinic, eat lunch with friend, go to a knit/crochet group, pick up the cats, then get DD for dinner at 5:00.

Back from a really nice 3 mile jog. Not that I am fast, but I am getting faster! It felt reallyl good. Temps were perfect, scenery was nice - along the river.
Dinner is next. We go out every Friday. One of dd16's friends stayed after small group and will go eat with us. Now, to figure out where. . . . .

Hi again. I'm about to leave payroll and go to my friend's house to look in on her cats. I will read some while I am there and let them climb on me. I need to figure out what to do with DD10 Sunday after church. Zoo? I also need to make sure I have milk for her cereal and something for dinners. And of course, I really really ought to get to bed early tonight. I also need to work with foster cat. It is harder now because she is not hiding in her bed. Previously, I would simply pick up her bed and carry her to the LR. Maybe I should do some more clean up in the sewing room (like filing!), or maybe even sew something.

Another week out of the way.
Very very very hectic day... and next week -- really, the next two weeks -- promise more of the same... but MAYBE at that point, things will settle down a bit.
We're about to leave for college town. Hope y'all have a good evening & a good Saturday.

Elizabeth - maybe not plan something every time your daughter stays with you. Life is not always play time or Girls Night Out. Sometimes it is stay in and clean the bathroom or stay in and play a board game or read a book and discuss it.
We are back from Staff meeting, registration, Happy Hour, and Dinner. Oh! all the dear friends we get to meet again. Some sadly are never coming back and we tell wonderful stories about them.
Tomorrow we will get our assignments for next week. We will basically be the hosts to introduce speakers and make sure they stick to their time slot. We will also pass out the hand outs. Not to shabby a job. Get to sit most of the time.
Now to plan what lectures we want to go to. AND make plans to go out with friends. It is not a week to cook.

Twins Mom, I don't think you have to rush to place some natural screening. You just moved in. It will just be a part of making the place "your own" with ideas for attractive space - if you do it weeks after they've moved in, months even, it will make perfect sense.
Good job on taking care of the animals, helia. You get credit.
Harmony, the reactions you're describing sound like a combo of tiredness and hormonal stuff. You have a right to express frustration after long bouts with several physical ailments that were (sometimes literally) irritating.
⋆ Exercise
...Declutter in closet
⋆ Respond to school email
⋆ Get the parent acct set up for school online resource
⋆ Take arm cover to fabric store and try to find a blending fabric
I've brought home some fabric swatches to try out and will lay them out across the couch fabric after my ddad goes to bed. At the first decorator-fabric place, there was salesperson Sue who got the idea I needed constant advice. At the second, very low-pressure sales from salesperson Phyllis, who assumed I was a capable shopper. That made me feel more comfortable. Funny, it could probably cost the same, yet I just feel better about the second so I'm already happier. Note to salespersons out in the world: don't pressure; trust the customer to know their own mind. Telling my same concept idea to the 2 women resulted in a "hmmm... ..I don't think you'll like that" attitude from the first and a "Oh, that will look so nice!" attitude from the second. Neither have seen my home. So, why was the second right? Because her customer was allowed to be right.
Going to declutter in the bottom of dd14's closet with her this evening. So that will complete my 5-by, though I'm late.

Wasted most of the day. But that's ok, the upstairs is vacuumed and dusted and combined with the housework done on Wed and Thur, the house looks fine for dh. Laundry is caught up and the dishes are in the dishwasher.
I spent most of the day watching Monk episodes. Since the series goes away tomorrow, I have been skipping through - jumping to when Natalie arrived and then to when Sharona came back in Season 8 for one episode. I've saved the last two of the series for dh and I to watch.
The darkness, storms and rain arrived here as well. Sure enough, dh's flight is now delayed, although the airport website shows it arriving on time, it still hasn't left Boston (now 30 minutes late leaving.) Dh doesn't want me to come because of the rain. He says the heavy rain won't let up until 9:30 according to the radar and he's due to land at 9:45. Of course, I can wait to leave until 9:30 because the airport is 30 minutes away and it will take 15 minutes to clear customs and get his bag. So I'll hold off and keep an eye on his flight. Can't decide until he actually leaves Boston.
I'm in bed now, resting, since I never had a nap today. I tried sleeping but couldn't.
Edited to add: his flight finally took off 55 minutes late. For 20 minutes, none of the websites showed what was going on - all showed it hadn't took off, and all showed it was delayed but should have already taken off even when you took into account the delay. I still haven't decided whether to go or not but the rain has stopped.
