Good Morning Villager Ladies! :D

Dee, I'm praying for your dgson. Thanks for keeping us posted.

Today I'm thankful for:
- Ddil's pregnancy, it's a girl, after 6 boys for them, and pray it won't be a high risk pregnancy again.
- For DD's email, which was highly "preachy", which stunned me, but I'm thankful that I know where she's coming from, is 40 1/2, and living on her own and not at home anymore.
- For the sunshine, the birds, and bunny I saw this morning.
- For a fire in the fireplace insert.
- For a nice hot shower, where I'm heading to now. :)

Have a great day, Everyone! :D Sorry this is short, but the cuop list got long. Oh, I had a GR8 sleep, too! ;)

Mystery, here is an article about Tens.

It is controversial whether it works or not. DH feels it does so I help him with it. Doesn't hurt anyway.

Sadie - I have used TENS at the ortho and the Chiro office many times. I think it makes things better. They used it on my back and on my knee. I really hate electricity so it is not my favorite but when it makes things not hurt it is good.

It is almost 90 today. AND, of course, I'm sewing patches on our denim shirt so it is hot. We could turn on the AC but I'm enjoying listening to the birds outside the window.

Tomorrow we have to get up and get going early as we need to be at our friends' house by 11. So we will pack up everything we can tonight and then get going early.

Hi everyone.

I did my cuop while walking on treadmill, but I can't type while walking so am resting my legs propped up and now I can type.

Thank you Lilac. And to answer Harmony's question...ds#3 is advancing from Staff Sgt. to Sgt. First Class, same job (Human Resource Officer for U.S. Army Band). I know it's a lot quicker to fly from here, but I would prefer not to land or take off on ice and snow covered runways. We did that when we landed in Detroit on our way home from Seattle a few years ago!

Ivy, congratulations on your dgranddaughter to be!

It was sunny bright here all day till a little while ago, now cloudy. Looks like we might have some showers later this evening.

Dee, so glad to hear dgs19 came through surgery and is resting. Will you be able to go see him?

I just heard the postman drive past. My legs don't feel so wobbly so I can check the mailbox now.

Yay! Hooray! Now I'm thankful that I was able to get the internet going again. I've plugged in, unplugged, changed this, changed that -and now I finally have it again.

Mystery, I'm pretty sure dgs has been going through something very similar to ABVI (assoc of the blind & visually impaired). Not sure what. Hopefully this new stay in the hospital might bring a social worker to him who might be able to help him. As I read scattered's ds19's list of the 3 things he's thankful for.......yep, those 3 dgs19 would be very grateful for right now.

Snoozed for a bit this afternoon. Now have "something" thawing for dinner. It may or may not be edible. I usally know right off what anything is. DH claims it's chili. We'll see. I don't remember it so it may be beyond its prime. Trying to use up anything in the freezer & fridge. Friend from campground (our guy who loves to cook) told dh today to tell me not to cook tomorrow. I rather think we have New England clam chowder coming. He makes soup that is chuck full of goodies. Yum already!

We were going to stop to see dgs today, Sunny, but it sounded like he was needing the rest. So we'll try to go see him in the morning -I hope. Now have to go back far enough to see why your legs are wobbly -I must have missed that.

I should be thinking of Plan B for dinner I think. We may be thankful for about anything at this rate. Have the screen open -it's beautiful today.

Next weekend is the last weekend for 'seasonal' campers to camp out here. (Permanents have until October 31st. Know dh intends to turn off the water and gas to the laundry and showers 'on the hill' at 10pm the 15th. Then it will be a few trips to the laundromat in town. Could use either DDIL's facilities but they're both up and down a lot of stairs. Just can't do those.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

Sadie, Mt, & ... - I can't use TENS because I am extra sensitive for some reason, even at the lowest setting I can get shooting feelings and tremors. That's me, just plain weird.

Helia - I think you taking Hebrew is cool at least it isn't a practically dead language, I want to learn Gallic among other weird things I would love to learn.

Kathryn - Wow that's a busy day! Don't overdue it.

OKay - Wow, how wonderfully artistic and inventive you are, let us know how it turns out.

Harriet - I refuse to accept that it is winter... or even really fall yet and I am north of you.

Sunny - Congrats to you DS

Dee - WooHoo she's Online!!!

Asked DS13 what three things he was thankful for and he actually surprised me on the last one but I forgot to take into account he is a guy too, his answer "my dog, my cat, food."

I am now going to chill out and watch one of my favorite Star Trek Movies, A Voyage Home (the one about the whales). I am going to enjoy my evening OFF except for making dinner that is.

will check back later.

Dee, nothing serious.....I haven't walked on the treadmill for quite a while and pushed myself to walk at 2.5 mph for 1 hour. Took that long to work up a sweat, but I'm not tired, legs just had that funny feeling for a few minutes! Wanted to say that way back when I was in grade school one of my best girlfriends had that condition. I don't think she had a shunt, may have been before the time that was done. She was as smart as any of us, but had a speech defect and physical deformity because of it. People who didn't know her thought she was "retarded". So sad -- she was a really sweet girl!

Thanks Scattered. Your dboys chose good things! (dh is watching that movie too.)

I'm thankful for my family, friends and good life!

Did a quick CUOP & now need to do a quick post -- must ride herd on the girls to get them out of here in about :10. Coach's wife e-mailed to say that they will be at the rink early enough that I can drop dd there, so I will drop dd, then take DD. Don't know in which order I'll do pickup; I think I've got to get gas somewhere in there. Want the girls to bring homework with them for car rides & wait times.

We're each having a slice of pizza now & will have the rest later.

I got that 5" stack down to about 3" while I was waiting. Didn't get there as early as I hoped b/c the car is making a funny noise that I needed to check out.

Thanks for the info about the TENS -- interesting! Will have to mention it to my dfriend who's having pain.

Praying for a healthy dgd, Ivy, and an easy pregnancy for your ddil.

Time to hustle these girls out the door!

Good afternoon! The lead I had for last night was unworkable, will need to do something else. I am making my annual Halloween party invitation list. Not sure whether to invite XDH or not. I slept late this morning because I had to take migraine meds last night. I am convinced I need to up my thyroid pills because the migraines track with that. I got a good report about the blood work I had done yesterday. I am a little concerned about the cholesterol, which was 195, where < 200 is good. Tonight is art class, it is unlikely that I will finish my current project, but I have decided what to do next. I am going to do a 1961 Mercury Comet and figure out how I want the real one to look! I even found a model of it online, but won't order it until I have a steady income again. I have a DPC to make, which I will do after I post this. Tonight dinner will be at Cracker Barrel, like always on Thursdays. I have GOT to charge my cell phone tonight. Also need to get tomorrow's lunch figured out. Tomorrow, I will be packing for a Girl Scout Camporee. I need to remember wet wipes because I HATE hand sanitizer.

I am THANKFUL for my savings, which I am living off now. I am THANKFUL to GOD who provided me with opportunities to save and the discipline to do it. I am also THANKFUL that I did not decide to buy a new car this year. I could fill a book about things I am thankful for, but the concise version is that I am thankful for God's provisions.
