Thanks, Harriet. All of a sudden I realized it was that much. It's come off ever so slowly so I guess that's best. You'll hear me shrieking from here when I finally break into the 160's
Motivation from yesterday? That's motivating me!

Re: PROGRESS, NOT PERFECTION TUESDAY
I think I haven't posted over the weekend. It was fairly busy for us.
Up early and left the house by 7 am. Met ds#1 and family on our way out to the beach so we could take two dgkids in our car. That allowed us to park in the closest parking lot to the pier so dh didn't have a long way to walk. The weather was nice, not too hot. Our dgkids each caught at least two fish each. The fish were plentiful; one man there with his dgson was helping all the kids by letting them pull his line in. He and dgs caught 70 +. After fishing closes they all gather in the pavillion to distribute trophies and prizes. The organization provides a shirt and small backpack filled with odds and ends for each of the kids, in addition to hamburgers, hotdogs, fruit (apples, bananas), snacks and cold juice and sodas for everyone. This is a wonderful organization to be associated with. http://makeadifferencefishing.org/ The prizes are all donated, I believe. Most are toys for boys or girls, but some are really nice. Usually there are 1 or 2 desktop computers with printers, there were 3 laptop computers with printers, at least two 32" digital tvs, a few small tents, ipod shuffles/nanos, an Xbox system, 3 or 4 boom boxes w/cd players, and a digital dvd/cd/fm radio/sd slot player. They call out the wristband number and you get whatever prize comes up.
After it was over ds & ddil asked if dh and I wanted to come to their house for supper. We brought the three dgkids home with us for a little while, (dgd15 was with her band for a competition in a nearby city so we didn't see her) then took dgd11, dgs6 and dgs8 home. We didn't get home until after 10 pm. It was a long day and we were both tired.
Sunday was a little quieter; dfam#2 came for supper. Dgd17 told us she had a competition with her band on Sat. Ddil and dgd10 did a charity walk for cancer on Saturday. Ds#2 stopped on his way home from work on Monday to do mowing and trimming our lawn. He told us that dgds both were home from school. It seems they both are getting the sore throat and cough that ddil had last week.
I hurried through my daily routines to spend some time at my desk, paid a couple of bills. Then I spent some time cutting fabric for the new project. I hadn't worked on it for a couple of weeks, spent some time crocheting my granny squares together, but want to get back to it. I can only stand at the table for a short time before having to sit as my back and hips protest.
I did cuop and answered in my head while reading, so I'll just say "hello" to everyone. I do want to say to Dee WTG on losing the weight and good BS numbers. I'm stuck at a plateau the last couple of weeks. I'm happy for the good news I read; ((hugs)) to those who need them.

Re: PROGRESS, NOT PERFECTION TUESDAY
Didn't properly cuop but did scan.
I'm back from meeting. It was very successful. I managed to stay to the end and am just fine, just the normal amount of tired.
The meeting started for me at 4:30 but I was there early, having left home at 3:20. I picked up the mail, then did the banking, then drove in. Getting there early got me a good parking spot. Unloaded the books and set up. Visited with people. Good dinner. Actually, great dinner. I loved mashed sweet potatoes!
The meeting runs from 6:30 to 9:00 and I always wear a watch because it seems to drag on and on, but they are on time so having a watch on reminds me that things are on schedule. I sat with my minister and an interesting retired minister who I chatted with. It was as interesting as a long meeting could be.
Drive home was careful due to deer danger but uneventful. I ate jelly beans on the way in and home to keep my energy up. Am a bit wired now!

Re: PROGRESS, NOT PERFECTION TUESDAY
What a neat mission for an organization, Sunny!
I did go to the hs band mtg. b/c I wanted to know more. The trip sounds exhausting; the proposed schedule is just jam packed, and I know - and dd14 knows too - what it is like to fly to Europe and to be jetlagged for several days. It looks fun and interesting - but quite exhausting. They are planning to see many sights which dd14 has never seen, many I have never seen! The band director is trying to make this trip to commemorate D Day's 70th anniversary, so they will be playing patriotic music on the Normandy beaches one day. They will also play at two churches in Paris, one which required a band resume' (?) and tapes of the band's playing before inviting them to play, so it is a little special. The other church is a little more lax in the music that can be played and so perhaps the jazz band (if enough come) can play some of their music there. . .I think I will wait to sign up dd14. She said she'd be more willing to go if she knew her friends were going, but since she is new to the school and the band, she doesn't really have many friends there yet.
G'night all! Tomorrow is a busy day for me: 3 medical appointments, a lunch party, getting Pepper to dfriends' home in neighboring town, and getting ready to leave town Thursday.

Re: PROGRESS, NOT PERFECTION TUESDAY
Helia, I loved Pepper's photo! Beautiful healthy-looking dog!
Harmony, It's good you don't have an autoimmune situation, too.
Sadie, Glad your DH is slowly getting better.
Elizabeth, Do you ever crochet pet mats that go inside cat crates? I made some for the local cat adoption agency.
Dee, I hate it when I get the between-the-shoulder-blades pain! I use Icy Hot Pain Patches on it, sometimes.
Nancy, Glad the hens are fine and the kids are enjoying them, too.
Deb, I think a lot of us hibernate in the winter. I tend to gain a few pounds, too.
Sunny, You sounded so productive and busy!
Kathryn, I'm glad the meeting went well.
My ta da:
- I've been sorting files and working on the office shelves.
- I finished reading the de-clutter book.
- I got out more stuff for ARC to donate, like a magazine rack.
- I purged magazines
- I stripped the bed, washed the sheets, and made the bed fresh before DH got back, to surprise him.
- I wrote a thank you card and letter to a pal who sent me a thinking of you card with butterfly stickers.
- I read on a book and took a 45 min. walk.
- Crocheted on a gift afghan.
Today was my Light Cleaning Day, but I didn't do that. I did the above things instead. So my routines/card days are a bit askew this week.
Have a GR8 night, Everybody!

Re: PROGRESS, NOT PERFECTION TUESDAY
Making progress... but far, far from perfection.
Tonight, I concentrated on grading papers & exercising, since I omitted those two last night.
Another busy day and I have not really been able to cuop closely either... so I'll just have to give a big wave in all directions to ALL of you!
Ta-da's:
* talked to dmom on phone
* posted lesson plans
-- kinda a mixed ta-da/sigh... realized an hour or so after posting that Thursday was NOT a good day for test b/c of field trip for quite a few of my students... and that now is NOT a good time to show video b/c of other conflicts... sooo... will be back to the drawing board with that tomorrow...
* went to drug store for dmil
* delivered items to dmil
* went to co-op (for peanuts, but they had not come in yet. Dh loves the raw peanuts they sell @ our local farmers co-op)
* picked up ironing @ ironing lady's
* went to store w/dh (for peanuts, LOL!)
* ate supper
* grade papers graded papers graded papers
* watched Dance Moms
* "walked away the pounds" for 17 minutes
* talked to dmil on phone... No, I did not know why ds & ddil were not answering the phone... no, I didn't think she had gotten sicker... (she has sore throat & slight fever)... no they had not brought dgs to us... no I didn't think they had gone to the ER... * sigh *
* talked to ds on phone... Yes, that was grandma on the phone w/me... relayed messages, told him to please call his grandma... told him to tell ddil, "Welcome to Mayberry."
(DS said nothing was wrong, he was feeding dgs & ddil was in the bathroom, no one could get to the phone before dmil hung up. When he tried to call her back, line was busy. Welcome to my world.)
Back to grading... see y'all tomorrow.

Re: PROGRESS, NOT PERFECTION TUESDAY
Chinese food has been eaten. Girls' Night Out with DD10 started disastrously, with her being very upset with her math homework. I read kids ghost stories for her until she calmed down. She wants to take the book and read to the other kids at the campout this weekend. She calmed down enough to do two problems. She also knew where she put my scissors. After she left, I picked up for the maids, put new sheets out for them, and put the trash out. Then I looked at some websites for my job hunt and applied for a software engineering job. Tomorrow, I desparately need to buy cat food.
Ivy: We have enough cat beds that I have not crocheted any intentionally. However, I tried to increase a pattern to make a rug and it turned out too small, so it became a cat bed!
Good night everyone! I am going to watch an episode of Hogan's Heroes while I crochet a baby hat for the church's February Care Net baby things drive. Then I need to skedaddle to bed!

Re: PROGRESS, NOT PERFECTION TUESDAY
I have read through posts, but everyone is in bed now I'm sure. I've been napping on the couch and got up to finish the kitchen and get ready for bed myself.
Church prayer meeting was very nice. Our committee put it on. It was just a shame it was not better attended. We had decorated the room beautifully, had communion which I helped with (speaking part and all this time) and prayer together and in groups. Then the cleanup.
When I told the dr. how much better I felt with the B12, she said ok, but it is not the big thing in making you feel better. She said I will feel way better than this once I get the meds going. Well, how do I do that if they never fax it over to pharmacy like they said they would? I stopped on the way in to church, no never received a fax. The pharmacy called them, was transferred back to the dr. hall but received an answering machine and left a message. I stopped on my way back and was told they still hadn't gotten anything from dr. office.
I am beyond frustrated. I started feeling bad enough to know something was wrong way back in July. What a long process to have something diagnosed and treated. Maybe tomorrow it will be here.
I have to run to another bank tomorrow and get gas in the car and pick something else up...so tomorrow will be really busy.
