Monday Thoughts

Finally able to come here....I've wanted to check in so many times, but you know how one thing and another comes first. I have tried to peek in a few times, but I know I've missed a lot the past week. I see from this last page a few here are sick, so I'm sending get well wishes and ((hugs)) for comfort!

We've had a nice time with our visit here even though ds, ddil and dgkids are at work & school, we do have the weekend and evenings with them; I cherish each minute we spend with them. Saturday ddil had to work, but dh, ds, dgkids and I went to the National Marine Corps Museum at Quantico and we got to see a lot we missed last summer. They also had a special exibit of miniature trains set up. They also have a small cafeteria on the second floor, so we had lunch there. Sunday we drove up to Washington DC to see the new auto show at the Convention Center. We drove as far as the Pentagon then took the Metro to Conv. Cent. We spend most of the afternoon looking at and sitting in a lot of 2013 new cars, all kinds of makes/models. The evenings we spend visiting and playing games.

The weather here has been chilly. We've seen a little dusting of snow, it rained last night/early this morning. Rain/snow showers 60% predicted for this Wed. and again on Saturday. We're planning to leave for home either Sat. or Sun.

A couple of weeks ago my cell phone broke. When I slid to front open to text a message a little tab thingy popped out and won't go back into the track between the front and back. Anyway, ds took me to the Vz Store and helpful clerk called their tech service to order a new phone, which came today. New phone is now set up again. Tomorrow I will mail the old phone back where ever defective phones go. This afternoon we shopped for Valentines for the dgkids.

I can't just sit around and do nothing all day. Dh and I have been keeping the kitchen cleaned up and every day I sweep the hardwood floors and one extra little job like a few of the windows, etc. Today I wiped the fridge, ovens and d-washer with G lass + and folded a lol of dgd15 and mine.

Good Evening, Villagers!

My right shoulder/back area is still the same as morning, although I feel it getting a bit better. DH has put Ben Gay on it twice now. When I turn my head to the right, the shoulder still hurts, but now I can turn it to the left and it does NOT hurt, which is an improvement!

DH is watching a "creepy" series, which is like a thriller and sorta gory and bloody, so I thought it'd be a good time to pop in for a visit.

Kathryn, I hope you'll feel better soon and MT, I hope your neck (shoulder, too?) get well soon, too.

Sunny, it sounds like you had a nice visit with family.

Cowinkie, What is a "cluster" headache? Is it in 1 spot or a cluster of areas on the head? Is it like a migraine? I hope you're better now, too!

Lynlee, Finding balance is tricky for me, too! I guess life is like that for a lot of us though.

Helia, DH has been buying me a chunky applesauce in a jar and it's sure good!

Dee, I'm glad DGS7months is doing a little better! I'll check more regular at J's & C's to read more news, too. It's so worrisome with little ones in the hospital!

Kathryn, Whenever we buy applesauce in the little tubs or serving cups, they go "bad" around the rim where the foil adheres to the container, so we won't even buy that type anymore because no matter what brand we have gotten, it does the same thing! So we get it in the jars now. It's better than getting sick off applesauce or wasting the money.

CathyS, I'm glad your appt. to see the dr. is tomorrow and you got in this week! I hope you get a good rest.

OKay, I hope your DMom's doing better tonight, too.
