I am so impressed with the main gym at the new HS. As a taxpayer, I feel like we did get our moneys worth. Also, the cafeteria is really neat. There are tables and chairs plus some booths that are open on each side. The ceiling is high with angles and there are areas that you can see the sky.
At the start of the 4th period, all of a sudden someone started some music and we were entertained with a "flash mob" dance. There were several guys that we had seen in costumes or others in weird clothes such as overalls with about 1" stripes of blue and white. All of them, the cheerleaders, student section and the band were all in on it.
I would not want to be a teenager again but I sure felt old after watching so many kids have fun. Once again I am wondering how the years have gone by so quickly.
Dh will not be able to take Thursday and Friday off. It seems one of the union members wrote "scab" on a non-union members locker. That goes against plant policy and dh now has to investigate it. For those who might not know, they call non-union members scabs because they benefit from having the union but don't pay union dues. We are a right to work state, so you do not have to belong to your companies union. Dh has always felt like if you would just do your job, you wouldn't need a union. The plant hasn't always been union, but it's probably been union for 20 years.
Dd2 thought dgd3 would fall asleep on the way to my house after we traded vehicles. Wrong. When she picked her up, I followed her to the daycare, so I could set in the car with dgd3 while she picked up dgd22mos. We both knew she would fall asleep and she did. Then on the way home I finally found a recycle trailer that had room for my recycling. I had went to a trailer and then the main site earlier. Both places were overflowing and I was not going to add to it.
After dd2 dropped me off after the game, she had to close the store and then go buy groceries.
They are now saying we could have a foot or more of snow. Smaller towns in the state are cancelling school for tomorrow, even though nothing has started. Our school won't cancel unless they absolutely have to.
Okay, dd2 and her kids have always had what they call "dance party". She cranks up the music and they all start dancing. F ootloose, has always been a favorite.
Guess I need to quit babbling and head to bed.
