Can hardly believe how fast they were here in ER. Probably part of their being #1 heart hospital. They had him all hooked up in no time. Dr says will probably be kept. No idea yet what's going on. Heart kept racing & very short of breath. Quite weak I notice. Family Dr wanted him to be monitored. Alright when he's lying still but chaotic soon as he tries to even walk 20'. Thanks for prayers. Also has a 'new' feeling in his chest.

Adding to prayers for Mr. Dee! (And you, dDee!!!)

 WOW. 45' of bees!!!??? Oh my... that sounds like a horror movie! SOOO glad none of you were stung!

Thinking about Kathryn's jelly beans... I am proud to say I have had no sugar today to mention, except for a S onic Blast just now. I KNOW... that's a BUNCH of calories, but that is NOTHING compared to all the stuff I ate yesterday. I just kept reminding myself today, "The more you eat, the worse you feel," everytime I was tempted w/junk... and I managed to stay away from C hick Fil A & their peach milkshakes... AND the divinity & taffy @ dmil's... but finally broke down and had dessert @ S onic.

Our (desktop) computer is A cer. I don't know if it is our fault for buying too "small" or computer's fault, but dh is EXTREMELY dissatisfied w/it. So -- I would not recommend A cer.
Got to stop at the library. Such a calm place. I wonder if they'd let me live there.
Oh, (((Harmony)))... that is such a wonderful thought. Wouldn't it be wonderful to LIVE in the library??? Especially if it were a library w/snacks. Maybe I'd rather live in a B ooks a M illion, w/the coffee shop. But wouldn't that just be wonderful... all those books... all those nice cushy chairs... and all that QUIET... * sigh *

Hope your toe feels better soon & the dentist goes better than you fear tomorrow.

Waving to ALL!!!

Dmom did come to the nursing home tonight and she looked so nice, had her makeup done and everything and I think she thoroughly enjoyed talking to a dfriend & distant cousin who is a patient there, along w/the music, of course. So good for her to get out and do something NOT related to insurance and bill paying and bank accounts.
She also visited w/daunt (ddad's sister's wife) whose mother is a patient there, also. The mother is not doing well, and daunt had been there all day. I visited with her a bit, too, along w/dgs.

Amazing moment. Dmom told distant cousin and another lady that I was her "greatest accomplishment," one thing she had got right in her life.   Oh my goodness... I don't know how to take a compliment b/c I know how far I fall short of the mark, and how insane I am. Told dh, here I am flipping out in a crazy fit b/c she might take a trip with us... and she is bragging about me like that. It was nice to hear her say that, yet sorta anxiety-provoking b/c I feel I have a lot to live up to. * sigh * I am crazy.

Well... now what to do... 15 minute zone or play Solitaire on the iPhone.
Hmmmm...
Solitaire it is.

Also meant to tell TWINS -- ditto re: IGNORE that person. You compare favorably to anyone in that group. Don't let Ms. Critical intimidate you!

Praying for Dee and dh.

Yesterday dh mowed the grass in our back yard which is twice as big as the front because our house is on the curve of our street. I did some weeding in our front garden. It was up in the mid 90's here and neither of us are used to the summer heat yet.

Dh and I had a quiet day today. Dh went to W-M for canned dog food and to pharmacy to pick up an rx refill. I puttered around the house: did a lol, dusted the furniture, moved appliances on counters and wiped them down, etc.

Nancy, computers: I have two laptops. One is a Toshiba L505...15" screen because I wanted a number pad on the keyboard. The newer one I got last summer is an Acer Aspire One. It has a 10" screen and feels compact like a netbook. Only thing I don't like is no cd drive. I did get a portable cd drive that connects with usb, so it's not a problem for me. They both have Win 7. I like them both. The Acer is small enough to put in my purse and take with me.

Harmony, thanks for the anniversary wishes! Hope your toe stops hurting!

MT I hope you get to feeling better quickly. It's no fun to be bouncing down the road with an upset tummy!
Harmony wrote:Twins, ignore that person...we all think you are wonderful!
Twins.... I agree !

Ddog Minnie just told me she wanted out. I told her to go get dBlondie. She left the room and by golly they both just came back to me. Guess I'd better go open the door for them!

p.s. ((Dee))... I'm so glad ER took care of dh quickly and he is getting the help he needs! Will keep you both in my thoughts and prayers!

Sunny - not sure which came first the tummy or the bouncing - but the combo convinced DH to stop.

Watched the news tonight and found out we missed VERY HIGH winds and hail storm in the town we were supposed to stay tonight. Nother one of those God Winks to let him know we are being taken care of.

Went to the casino for the buffet. It was very good. Did up the dishes from the past two days. Read a really good Amish book. Now I'm almost ready for beddie bye.

See you in the morning.

PS: Prayers for Dee and Mr. Dee.

Glad to see post from Dee.

Think I will have to take morphine tonight. I was hoping to go without but I'm definitely in pain now and there's no sense struggling.

Ds is home from work. He knew more about my operation so shared it but basically it is summed up by what the Doc told me. My gall bladder was a mess. The nurses in the ER have been asking after me, as well.

Oh, dear. . . Praying for Dee and dh. . . SO glad you have a great hospital near you.

Nodding my head in agreement with the comment here for Twins to ignore that woman b/c you are truly wonderful!

I like the God Winks, MT and hope your tummy is feeling better. So nice you can be so very flexible with your travel plans.

Ah, I too like Harmony's idea of going to live in the library. I almost giggled out loud when I read that. I like lucylees embellishment of a snack provider there too. Mmmm..... sounds wonderful! The library sounds so great to me b/c I'm already starting to feel socially claustrophobic, and this is only the 3rd (non-weekend) day of summer vacation - and dd15 is away at camp and ds is working full time. Oh, help. Am I really that bad at this? Dh asked about having coffee with me tomorrow morning, and I didn't know what to say. I don't want to hurt his feelings, but I'm already meeting a friend for a late lunch.

I did get to Target, picked up ds, went out to eat with dd17, picked up friend of dd17 to hang out with dd17 tonight, and then came home and ate 2 butterscotchies and some ice cream. I'm now working on last month's book club book and starting to feel drowsy. dh is back from his ceramics class.

Yes, grateful for a close hospital and proper monitoring, for a quick answer for Mr. DeeClutter.

Need to check J and C for news from Lynlee.

helia, I don't know why, but my kids always liked the "wet" cleaning more than the "dry" cleaning or the laundry. Well, I take it back - they loved the Swiffer mop, wet or dry. Also, I will say that toilet cleaning never took a turn for the popular (or volunteerism, lol ) until after the introduction of pop-up wipes. Now when faced with a chore she dreads, dd14 will offer to trade it for toilet cleaning.

Sorry you are hurting, Kathryn.

Of course she feels that way, lucylee. Wish you had heard her say it before you retired.

I finished the day off with exercise and am genuinely tired. A long day. HRH was on conference calls. Errands  . Second day of big thunderstorms.
