Waving from Sunday.
wtg on pre-preparing Kathryn. Indiana was also a great role model for downsizing way before the move.
I am back in a going to church habit.
I have some things I want to do today , then tomorrow Monday is my big day to drive 2+ hours to dd's place. I paid the toll fee today.
At church - Also asked dd's school friend's dm for prayers for my arm. It is so less functional than when I decided to drive that far. For me to drive safely, and for everyone else to be safe too. Afterwards I remembered - That lady lost both her DH and youngest DD (my dd's df) in a tragic traffic accident. (((DLady)))
Don't laugh OKay - I went through the auto car wash for the first time today. lol.
There are a few clouds about so 'll bring in yesterdays washing next.

Re: SATURDAY -LAST DAY OF SUMMER
Just begin.
Living this day, today
Take a reality check; Remember to breathe; Do what I am able to do.
Look for the good in all.

Re: SATURDAY -LAST DAY OF SUMMER
Well I have certainly had an unproductive, lazy, useless day. I did not even s2s until about 4:00 pm and then I went back to the couch where I dozed and played games on my phone while dh watched ballgame. Disappointing ballgame.
I haven't even called dmom today. I have just been a slug. I don't know what happens to my energy. I don't think I have any sickness or health concerns... I am just... lazy, I guess. I really have to figure out a way to discipline myself better now that I am home and have no regular schedule. I knew this would be a major problem.
OH -- and dfriend/cousin called inviting me to a meeting of an organization of retired teachers Monday. * sigh *
Y'all can just imagine how excited (NOT) I am about the prospective of joining some SOCIAL organization.
* sigh *
Can't go at all Monday -- dmom's appt w/foot doctor -- but this will probably be a recurring situation every month until I hurt her feelings.

Lucylee: I think the key for you and I is to have steady energy. We both tend to have super productive days but never manage to string more than a few of those together. Then we have a slug period.
Today was super productive, but look at the time. It is 10 to midnight. I should have been in bed 2 hours ago. Dh will be home in about 20 minutes. Hardly worth trying to go to sleep now!
I'm all ready for tomorrow - my preaching bag is packed with my sermon, invoice, the hymns marked in the hymn book and the Bible with the marker in the right place. I have the route for the race tomorrow for after church. My clothes are laid out.
I'll go to bed now with my book and either sleep or read.

Re: SATURDAY -LAST DAY OF SUMMER
I think you are right, Kathryn, and I really feel better to think you struggle with this also... but yes -- even though I did NOTHING inside this house yesterday, I was on the run all day long and those things certainly had to be done. And I know I am partly just in rebellion today. My head was going: I was out of the house all day long yesterday and I am not doing ANYTHING today.
And YES... (MT & others who are thinking the same thing) YES... dh could have done ALL those errands just as well as I. Except maybe the visit w/dmom... but NOOOO he was not going to do them and it was certainly not worth a battle over that... so there I was.
AND... I have really high hopes for Tuesday... b/c dh is going to be gone all day w/ds.
HOWEVER... I know I really, REALLY have to battle against the rebellious donwannas, b/c (1) I will have spent Monday w/dmom and (2) I may be needed to keep dgs.
OTOH... I am looking forward to seeing dgs soon again, anyway. DDIL reports he has started clapping! (Sent me a video of it.) I always get excited when I can see him do something new!
