Hello, villagers ~
I'm having a slow day, still playing catch up. A plan to have supper with friends has been postponed, which resulted in a decision to have a nice long nap instead of going out to run errands in The Big City. I'm feeling like I might finally have had enough sleep.

Have been clearing the Email inbox and reading a camping forum.

Trying to figure out menu plans to decide when I need to go buy groceries again. I'm soooo in the mood to hunker down and not leave the house for a few days!

At the same time, weirdly, I don't mind going to Aldi because I love strolling around that store looking at the brand names from Europe. When the weather is nice, the half hour drive to get there is beautiful. I'll check the forecast to see if tomorrow or Friday will be better for driving.

It's 54* here with sunshine. Tomorrow is possible showers.

Fairy tales? I keep thinking and there is one favorite for me, "Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs," because it was 1 of the first Disney movies Mom took us kids to see. I loved how Snow White got away from the evil queen, how she nearly died and I cried, when she ate the poisonous apple, but was so Very Happy when the Prince kissed her. I enjoyed all the dwarfs, their different names, the cute cottage in the woods, and Snow White's voice was very sweet and cute, to me. She seemed so very innocent, the dwarfs were hilarious, and Bashful was adorable. This is my favorite children's fairy tale.

Twins', I do hope your back gets back to normal soon.

OKay, I hope LO is feeling better by now and I'm keeping you and your dfamily in my prayers, from the happy post yesterday about LO and custody. I wish you the best of luck, am sending good energy and prayers.

Sunny, Sorry about the dinner party mix-up, but you blessed yourselves with a wonderful-sounding dinner. You sound very flexible when it comes to change, too. I admire that in you.

Sadie, Good luck with your Doctor shoulder appt. because I had surgery on mine in 2010 and hope that PT will help you. It's so painful because we use our shoulders when we reach, use our hands and arms and it can be miserable. I'll be Thinking of You.

Lucylee, Sometimes I believe there is an "Internet Black Hole" on-line that sucks us away, up and we lose so much time, but it's fun, too! Hope you'll get games on the nights you registered for, too.

Nancy, The House Fairy IS a great fairy tale. We all should have a magic wand and House Fairy to come in while we putour feet up and relax, read, and play for the day, week, month or eternity! Just kidding.

CathyS, It's good you compromised with your DD for a meet-up place and will have lunch, too. Enjoy reading your book.

Ddil is sick, but gets to return to work tomorrow. She and I were talking about leg warmers for dgd-10-months old and Ddil works at a dept. store where they have 20% off sale on yarns with her 20% off employee discount, it might only be $2-$3 a skein. 2 skeins are needed for the stripped leg warmers. Cute pattern, too. We'll measure dgd's thighs, ankles, and length of legs from thigh to ankle when we're there for Christmas. Ddil will let me know what she finds, in the way of yarn and we'll work out something or we'll reimburse them. She may pay for the yarn, since I'm making the leg warmers, too.

Have a good Fairy Tale afternoon. Take care. I'm off to check laundry, journal, and do the rest of my work. I walked 30 min. while talking on the phone with Ddil, too, so walking's done. I'm very happy about that.

so next are the counters, the stove and the table... wow everything takes me so long to do. hey but I can still do it

I had a small nap and need to do a few rounds of real work. Before we leave on Friday I need to get another bag of dog food, but today the package came from Pet smart with the cosequin for ddogs so I don't have to buy a small bottle of that to tide us over. I think I only ordered the consequin on Monday?

Tonight will be our second cold night into the twenties. I just managed (I am Woman, hear me roar!) to light our gas fireplace which is nice on chilly evenings or days. Dh had tried a couple of weekends ago and it wouldn't light for him, so he wanted me to ask the construction guy or a neighbor to do it.

-start a lol
-clear kitchen table
-deal with 10 pieces of paper
-refill vitamins/meds for coming week
-make the bed

So while I was writing this dd called and I talked to her awhile, then dh called....so finally I'm getting moving.

Favorite fairy tale ~ I've always loved Beauty & the Beast and have read several different versions, from the oldest to some very modern. In fact, I still have designs rolling around my subconscious for a theatrical production, costumes, sets, props, and toy versions to match all. Some day ...

Blessedw2 made me smile with wanting the brownies or elves to do the work while we sleep. Kind of like Downton Abbey as a modern fairy tale -- for the upstairs family, that is, who have all those servants to do with house work so the family ladies have the time to change into various pretty dresses and hats.

I am trying to continue working. Dh is home and is going back to temple and will give my regrets.

-try the last recommendation from Fitbit for reinstalling their software
-order meds for me via computer (hopeful the grinch that seems to afflict others here hasn't infected my computer or internet pharmacy)
