Harmony, highlight only what you want to copy, then right click and you get a little menu. Go down to "Copy" on the menu and the highlighted info will be copied. You're not using the quote button in this step. Then click on Reply and the reply box should open up and should be empty. If it isn't just use the delete key to clean it out. In the reply screen, then right click again and pull the little menu down to "Paste" and the info you copied will be pasted into the reply screen. If you want to show it as a quote, highlight it in the reply screen, and click on the quote button to make it a quote. As Bookie said, you can also use Control C to copy what you've highlighted, and then Control V to paste what was copied. Hope that helps.
Feel free to practice if you want and we'll cheer you on!
I have somehow managed to get most of my stuff done today...didn't finish a.m. routine but I can live with it.
[ x ]PT
[ x ]P/u meals for dmom and visit
[ x ]Groceries
[ x ]drop letters at post office
[ x ]p/u photos at W algrens - picked up when I got groceries after seeing Mother, was better timing and didn't waste gas
[ x ]get dMacs to the vet to get drain out
[ x ]deposit at mother's bank
[ ]staples or another store for printer ink cartridges
Still worried about dMacs but vet indicated he looked pretty good and this was probably just a bump in the road.
Tomorrow or Saturday I can get the printer cartridges.
Speaking of planners, I love love love to look at them and play with them but don't typically use them. I've mentioned that I'm using Workflowy for lists and organization. I'm doing a heading for the month and starring it so I can jump to it easily. Under the month list I can add each day (or not, if I'm out of town or unmotivated!) On the daily list I make a list of things for that day; for a day later in the month, or next month, I go head and add that month/day and add the info. Appointments go on the calendar so the list ahead is only for reminder type things: Trifexis for dogs, follow up on whatever, etc. Things that I don't get done can be dragged to the next day or back into a general list that is just under the month heading.
When I was having a lot of meetings, I liked using the Franklin planner with two pages for each day; I could make meeting notes on the right side of the planner, and after the month was out I archived what I needed to save by scanning or taking a photo of it for Evernote. I haven't used the FP now since August or Sept - If I need to make notes I use a meeting hand out or scratch paper or make a note directly into Evernote.
None of this includes routines, which are in "Remember the Milk" as checklists that repeat daily, weekly or monthly.
I need to get busy again....no rest for the wicked, or is it weary?
[ ] walk both dogs (Macs didn't get a morning walk but he was ok with that)
[ ] check in with dh about supper, I thought he was asking friends if they wanted to eat out with us
[ ]back track to a.m. routine - kitchen counter and bkfast bar clean up
Elizabeth, I hope you are enjoying and engrossed in your new job, you sound quite diligent and engaged.
