Home from work and tutoring. Long day but a good one. I'm GLAD it's the weekend, though. Dh called right when I was finishing up my tutoring session. I called him back and we chatted for about 15 minutes. He actually fell asleep while on the phone, he's that tired. His plane lands tomorrow around 4 pm. His dept. dinner is at 6 - or at least appetizers and drinks are at 6. We'll skip and go to the meal and awards part, which starts at 7. Dh is not slotted to get any awards this year. He did last year; it just varies year to year. I wonder how long he'll stay awake with jetlag?? I suppose we won't be staying for the dancing, thank goodness.
blessed, I echo Dee's sentiments. ((ddyounger and you))
Hmm.... that is concerning if that is not like her, Harriet. Perceptive of you to think that maybe that post was intended for a particular set of eyes and she may not have been thinking of others.
I wrote a bit strongly earlier. . . I'm actually not very verbose or opinionated in person. LOL! I just want to say that I actually don't have anything at all against private schools. Or homeschooling. I have many friends who have done various schooling options with their kids, and most of the kids are turning out great! There are pros and cons to each, different reasons for families to use each, and each kid has different needs and interests anyway. . .It is unfortunately one of my hot buttons when one schooling choice is used to put down other choices. Maybe that is b/c we withstood a bit of that school bashing when we lived in TX. There's been some of that in my communities here, but not as much.

OK, dd16 is home now too. I think we're going to figure out dinner.
