I ate a supper of left over soup, a grilled cheese sandwich sure would be good as a follow up now, as comfort food.

My Moe-baby has a growth between his toes - vet says he's not sure how he didn't feel it earlier or last week but it is significant and could be benign or malignant. He staying at the vet tonight and he will have surgery tomorrow to remove as much as possible - once they get a pathology report (which may take 10 days) we will decide whether the toe (or more) needs to be amputated. The bone is fine so far.

Thank you for the good wishes, Harriet. It's weird to be more worried about Moses than Macs....it's been close to two years since Macs had pancreatitis and started downhill but Macs has far outlived all predictions of his demise. Both dogs have had a happy, long life already.

Trying to think of plan for dinner not quite enough leftovers for two so I think I will have soup. It has been cold here today and snowed all around us.

Dgd did not get not off the bus here today continuing with the plan. I was excited to see how it went for the Dr. Seuss day guess I will have to wait. Sigh oh well. Sort of miss seeing her.

ToddlerN's dad & step mom are back from Mexico now they said she was acting up and needed to have the rules reviewed but she was good for me here.

Opened LO Monday folder to see that tomorrow is his snack day. Ack! We were able to swing by the grocery store on the way to karate lessons and let him select drinks & snacks (fruit roll-ups) for 24.

Otherwise, LO Monday folder was AMAZING!! I was (am) astounded at the difference in his work last week (on meds). I keep looking at the papers. I'm fascinated at the HUGE change. It is as different as night from day.

What really got me was his spelling words. We typically work on his spelling words everyday. The week before he started taking meds, he just couldn't get them. That week we used several different ways of studying the spelling words....We wrote the spelling words on 3x5 flash cards, made up and sang silly songs spelling the words, drilled over and over......but he still only scored 50 on the spelling test. TOTALLY different from this past week (on meds) we didn't need to do anything except quickly review the spelling words each evening. He remembered them easily and made 100 on the test.

I really didn't want LO to take meds, but the change is astounding. I'm thrilled he is getting the meds his brain needs to work well.

LadyM: how does LO feel about himself now that he's on the meds. Is he thrilled with the way things at school are easier or is he frustrated about other side effects that make him feel poorly.

Dinner is done and almost cleaned up. Another long phone call with my childhood best friend. So almost 3 hours spent on the phone today. The last of the laundry is dealt with but I couldn't do anything else while on the phone so paperwork (my evening task) is untouched. Sigh...

So much for staying home from school tonight in order to get ahead on things before the trip!

I'm exhausted as well. Not sure why.

I'm on the treadmill now despite the late hour because I only needed another 1000 steps to get to 10K today. That does nothing for the shortage of 6K yesterday but it means my week won't start badly.

After this, I might head off to bed.

Wonderful to hear that LO is doing so well! Hope he isn't having too many side effects.

Woo hoo for us! Antique lady came and left w/$500 worth of goods... and promises to come back (hopefully tomorrow). She wants her husband to try out recliner for size before she buys it. Some of the stuff she wants for her store, and some she just wants for herself. Since she spent so much time doing the first "appraisal" and didn't charge us, we are just letting her set her own price for everything. She is a lifelong friend of my dmom's and we don't think she would be unfair to us. We know if she sells stuff in the store, she will make a profit, but she told us she does not double her cost like some antique dealers do.
The amazing thing is, we filled up her SUV and got $500, and we still can't really tell anything is gone. DH said, "That doesn't even make a dent in it, does it?"

Other than spending about 3 hours with her, I haven't done much today, but I did get the bathrooms s/s and did the rest of my morning routine.
Went to bank and drug store afterwards.
Talked to dmom. Another * somewhat cautious * woo hoo for dmom. She announced that her three weeks are up tomorrow and she will do her own errands. She said she would still let me take her to the doctor Wed. but she understood him to say no driving for three weeks. So she is ready to drive. (I thought he said no driving till she SAW him... but... whatever.)
Doing laundry now. DH has a towel-washing marathon planned for tomorrow.

I made an appointment to see a doctor today, got a referral for breast clinic next week. He was a not listed on the door person. Had to talk him through the requirements of a referal. Not sure what to think. Asking Dr Seuss - if someone does not know about treatment for hypoglycemia, or certain other things, do I think I feel like teaching him all of that? A. I'm too out of sorts to imagine that. Will I go back and try to see the main woman doc? Maybe. I need a doc.
Saw pdoc before that. We have a plan to work through my stuff with support group.
I didn't go to yoga today. exhausted after another late night with no good excuse.
