Today is 6 months since DS16 got his driver's license. I am very thankful to reach this milestone without an accident or ticket. Although he has been stopped multiple times by multiple agencies. Each time he was given a stern talk and warning which doesn't go on his record. .
1. ** Excessive acceleration (blowing black smoke and leaving rubber on road when leaving stop sign) - police 2 towns away
2. ** Speeding on way to big city. Highway patrol
3. ** Speeding in our town Although he was a passenger with DGS18 driving. But I am still counting it in the number of times bubble lights and sirens have pulled vehicles over.
4. ** Spinning out & throwing gravel near city hall. City clerk complaint
5. ** Trespassing near local lake - driving atv in private owned land. Lake cop stopped them.
6. * ATV violation at Red river - Ok wildlife agent

Teenage drivers require nerves of steel.

dh is being not nice about mom bc she was in the kitchen working - moms being really nice and I have a migraine - he's been cranky today and I have been gone most of the afternoon so he had time by himself - the two seem to go off at different days - being kind and understanding is all I can do. he asked where his aunts family -uncles sweet wife- was from and I don't know - he seems to ask me things or gets frustrated when I get a migraine and am trying to sleep.

I asked dh if he felt better - he did - thank goodness- sometimes its hard have dh off or cranky and mom off or upset at different times -

dh can be easy to talk about the past, work he used to do, cars, I have to be careful not to say I am flustered by something someone else is doing bc he remembers that and gets angry about something totally different later on always geared at the person that I may get flustered at in a moment - I try to figure out how to make things better if I am flustered - something I could do. He listens and is kind but it always backfires later on.
Thinking I may need to have some support from a therapist to help figure out this road.

Just got a text from local store manager asking for DS16 to return to the store. He got gas and left but the store says it doesn't show he paid for it. I contacted DS16 and he said he paid at the pump and it said CC was accepted. Manager says the pumps sometimes messes up when it is this cold. DS16 is headed back to the store to pay inside for the gas.

I guess I could add (unintentional) gas thief to DS16 list of goofs. He might be showing signs of growing into a fine young man, but he is 100% teenager making some blunders along the way.

Ta-da tally: 8 (9 if you count a nap)

* cleaned fridge and freezer (still have deep freeze to do
* laundry
* strip and remake bed
* got dressed
* took dsil and grands to the airport
* Costco run
* cleaned up after dinner and helped with dinner
* ordered a case for my new phone and wipers for the car

I've been nauseous all day and took ginger before heading out to the airport. I managed fine (as did dgd who rode with a bucket because she's been sick so often in the car.)

When I got home and put away the groceries, I had a bagel and ginger ale and then dozed for a couple of hours.

I'm still nauseous but I'm also hungry. Hope this is just a side effect of the increased meds and not the flu dd has.
