Back from dinner with ds and his friends. It was good to meet a few I know from facebook and see the ones I already knew (including dfs and his fiance - she showed me pictures of her wedding dress and the bridesmaid dresses.)
Ds told of having to run around on Sunday morning before The Third Amigo's wedding, finding a garter. Apparently, it was his job to get it. All the 'brides' at the table said, no, it was the bride's job to get it. He did well, googling "where do you buy a bride's garter" and finding out that Michaels would have it. In fact, they had a selection!
I'm tired now. The drive home seemed endless, not the 25 minutes it actually was.

Good evening everyone, I am checking in late. My interviews are tomorrow. I just resent the application with some certifications added. The phone is charging for the phone interview. I know how to get to the in person interview, having worked in the same building for 11 years. I am taking tomorrow off so that I can concentrate on the interviews. I have printed out everything I need (I think). I have been getting things together, I still need to find my necklace and earrings, but if I don't, it is not the end of the world. Today my boss talked to me about work coming in the future. Now I feel guilty about looking for work elsewhere. But I have not been getting paid for a while now. My swamp cooler is dead and I am hot as blazes!
Tonight I went to the Wednesday Night Out dinner and Bible study at church. We have a new pastor, he is leading it. He has a hard act to follow, but I am sure will do fine. XDH called me about possibly putting DD10 in band. I told him to ask her about it. While I certainly don't object, I happen to know she wants to do Tae Kwon Do. DD got reprimanded by a teacher for swinging too high and flipping upside down. Yes, you read that right, it is a sight to see. We told her to talk to the principal who has seen her do this since kindergarten.
My Dad called and had a funny Isaac story from Mobile AL. Seems someone from Mississippi was sailing his 3 masted boat to Mobile to get away from the hurricane and ran into trouble. The sailor was rescued, but the sails could not be dropped on the boat and it could not be brought in. So it was left to sail away on its own. It ended up hitting and downing the power lines to Dauphin Island. Then it executed a tack (change in direction) and has not been seen since. There is flooding in Mobile, as usual for a hurricane, but my parents always make sure to live high.

Elizabeth, I am praying that you get that job and that it would be a good fit for you!
This afternoon I went to dd2 pottery studio to see her kilns and inventory. It is really coming together. I will soon be helping her paint samples. She has a df who has an artistic dmil and she is going to see about her doing some samples. Also, her dhs bfs mother Is an artist and might be doing samples.
After dd2 picked up the little girls they came over with an invitation for me to eat breakfast with each of them on Sept.7, for grandparents day at daycare. I am so glad that I am not missing out on their lives.
Friday night is our first home football game and dgd16 1st game as a varsity cheerleader. Dd2 managed to get us a block of 7 reserved seats for the football games. They are on the front row which will be much easier (I hope) to manage the 2-4 kids that we will be wrangling.
Sunday afternoon is dgs8 first tackle footgall game. He is so excited.
Guess I better try to head to bed................

Late ci: to say Happy Birthday to ds & Happy Birthing Day to
Kathryn!
Busy day... I can't think of any "wisdom" I've had today... but a good day, all in all.
Dgs sleeping in his carrier right now... time for bed soon... he still sleeps a good bit if he's not feeling crampy/gassy/hungry.

Elizabeth - fingers crossed you get the job thats right for you.
If the boss at work place that does not pay you asks - you could say that you like to eat, live in a home, and keep utilities on, etc. Most folk need an income to maintain that.
from sunny Thursday here - 2 loads of washing is on line and drying fast - some is in already.
wisdom - just begin - everything you do counts.
a fav
Just because someone needs to be told something - I don't need to be the person to tell them.

Good luck, Elizabeth.
Nancy, have you taken your house off the market?
Twins, I'm hoping you have quick success with your house.
Harriet, I don't know what's wrong with me. The ache in my pieces parts has gone down, not totally gone away but much better. It seems to have moved around a bit. Today at church I did nothing but sit in a chair and stuff envelopes and I noticed after about 45 minutes I was totally exhausted. Good grief.
Then I came home to DH hunting for those pictures and I tried to help him, frantic all over the house...and it was all a bit much for me. I laid down and slept for several hours. I wish I knew what was wrong. I find myself hungry at times but too tired to make food. Tonight I did make dinner. Late I gathered up all the dishes and threw them in the dishwasher and ran that.
When I was at the dr. I didn't really have a good physical. She did not take my blood pressure or listen to my heart. She was not a general dr. after all and did what most gyn. drs do.
Sunny, I'm sorry to hear about DDiL's SMother. I didn't know she had been sick.
Alright, off to bed for me.
